20:35 IMPORTANT: In P5R it's actually very important to max Kasumi, Maruki and Akechi to get the third semester, which is the new big story content added to Royal!
Well, it’s technically only required to max Maruki in order to unlock the 3rd Semester and its True Ending, but if you don’t max Kasumi and Akechi’s before then, you’ll be permanently locked out of continuing them for the rest of the game.
By max them out do you mean their Confidant ranking or whatever? I'm playing through P5 on the PlayStation at the moment, and I can't wait for this release on the Switch. I appreciate your post because I don't want to lock myself out of content, but I also don't like looking up guides or spoiler filled walkthroughs :) So this is a nice little tip to ensure I get the new story. tyvm.
@@geek3200 yeah, up their confidant Rank to the Max for all three. I believe one of those three becomes story-automatic (like Morgana) on the final ranks though, in case you can't seem to level them up anymore.

Just maybe not that first point especially on Twitter, don’t interact with the fanbase on Twitter, it’s up there with the Sonic fanbase for which Sega fanbase is worse
I was in a really dark place a couple months ago, I kinda lost interest in all of my hobbies including gaming until my friend was talking about persona and told me to try it. So I got p4g and this game’s writing and atmosphere is incredible. It was one of the few things that would actually make me happy every time I played it and made me appreciate my friends and everything I had. If you haven’t already please buy this game and I’m glad to now have the opportunity to play the other games in the series
Same here, I lost all interest in my day to day life but since playing I've been approaching my life the same way I have in Inaba and I'm so much more productive and an active participant in my life again. It's wonderful that video games can have this positive impact.
For those doubting that P5R cant run on switch, P5Rs engine is the same as Catherine full body which ran perfectly on switch docked and handheld. Although P5 Strikers wasnt the same engine it ran smooth for the most part except frame dips in the first and last boss for handheld mode from my experience.
You can compare Catherine and P5R or compare P5R to P5 ps3 version. You can see clear differences that's why people doubted it. I doubted it myself and admit when I am wrong. I figured if they didn't put it on switch after joker came to smash then it would never happen
Persona 3 is still one of my favorite games ever made and my personal favorite of the modern Hashino entries. Great, flawed characters, a grim story with extremely resonant themes and subtext, and still one of the best soundtracks of any video game I've ever played. Not to mention its emotional highs still far exceed a lot of similar games on the market imo. Early October and December/January were so melancholically immersive
a lotta people see the more gritty or "realistic" cast of p3 as emo or edgy. but i love love looove how they're not all a bunch of perfect anime kids who have one flaw that gets resolved in their dungeon
@@splatlandss A complaint with RPGs that try to emulate Persona is that the cast often comes off as cookie-cutter or extremely archetypal. I love that in P3 especially, they all come with their own baggage and aren't meant to be these heroic, go-getting people, as it also ties into how the story is ultimately about self-discovery and learning to value life amidst the problems you're faced with. The social links are ultimately about helping people sort through those problems so they learn to live life being content as well, and come out the other end as better people because you helped them change
Persona 3 really left a big impression on me when I finished it. It's a fun but sad game. I'm so glad they decided to include it on Switch. I hope others try these games even though they're quite old.
These games changed my life and also changed my viewpoints on JRPG’s in general. So happy other people get access to these titles and experience what I got to experience for the first time way back in the day.
Persona 3 FES was my first, Persona 4 is how I bonded with my best friend (even calling our relationship a maxed out social link), and Persona 5 is how I got to know my fiancé when we first met. The Persona series is just such a good game, story, AND relationship builder in real life.
It really is a great relationship builder! I got closer to so many friends of mine due to mutual bonding through these games; they have such a wonderful impact.
It’s so good to have Jon back for this video (and a long one at that !). I hope this becomes tradition and we can have him back for once or twice a year :)
I put 25 hours into ps2 persona 4 a few years ago, and I loved it so much I tracked down a vita and Golden so I could play the best version. I CANNOT wait!!
Definitely doubling dipping for Persona 5 I played the vanilla version on the PS4 so I'm definitely getting Persona 5 Royal on the Switch. And hoping we get a Physical copy of a double pack of Persona 3 and 4.
For anyone who hasn't play Persona yet You'll be in for a treat. Probably my favourite games of all time and i wish I could experience it all again for the first time.
Dayum, Jon feels so perfect in this Nintendo Life video that it’s almost like he never left. Also, *very important,* but there are mandatory social links in Persona 5 Royal. If you want to access the third semester, you need to complete Maruki’s confidant before a certain date. Likewise with Akechi and Kasumi, while their confidants aren’t as important, they become locked once you start the third semester, and you need to complete them before then in order to get their third-tier Personas. With Akechi also giving you a extra scene in the ending.
I have been playing Persona 5 for over a year and a half now and I’m around 80 hours in the main reason I haven’t finished it yet is being tied to the TV and not always having time to play it. Also not being able to save when I want so having it on switch will definitely be the way to go for anyone playing it for the first time
I would agree the fanbase is quite inviting. There's one minor difficulty to deal with, within the fandom. It's usually pretty difficult to get a new Persona fan, of the latest game, to go back and play through one of the earlier games. So I look forward to Persona 6, with a brand new batch a fans a Persona 5 fan will have a time trying to ever get them to play Persona 5. And Persona 1-4 players, smirking almost like Grandparents who see what trials their own children have to go with, with their kids. I can sort of understand the difficulty for 1 & 2(IS/EP) (as cool as they were as a very direct Shin Megami spinoff), as the big change that popularized the series, happened with 3. But boy do I get warm feelings when I see people sharing fan art and costumes of stuff like Persona 1-3. That you can still run into fans of the earlier games. Total props there. But even if not every game is their bag, for Persona and Shin Megami Tensei fans, game recognizes game; and there's a general understanding and appreciation of fans from wherever they are in the fanbase. I think the idea of trying to goad other fans to try out certain older games is more from a place of kindness. The game often personally touched them in a way that really affected their outlook and/or emotions, and they wish any Persona fan gets to experience the same feeling they had. No Persona game does that quite the same as another, nor has quite the same message as another, making each game in the series, kind of timeless.
3:49 "Ryuji from Persona 3" I think you mean "Ryoji" who is a Persona 3 character. "Ryuji" is from Persona 5. Though there is a fan theory that he was in Persona 3 as a child. I hate to be that guy that points out minor mistakes but I wanted to clear it up in case anyone got confused.
Heard only a few things about these games and haven't played them before, but now I'm pretty interested. I'll definitely have to try playing, they sound really good!
Totally unrelated, but I was waiting inline for hours for the xenoblade 3 SE while listening to this and finally got it. Was in line for 11 hrs the first go round and didn't get it. I credit Jon's appearance here. All praise Jon.
It’s never too late. Especially with these games, it’s time to replay them on the go 🥰 I’m really glad they don’t seem to be cloud versions either so that’s better
@@lambiepie6436 I would watch my older brother play the game and he eventually let me play it with him from time to time. Then he let me play his new game plus file that had everything to make the game easier. (I still sucked and always asked him for help) I was 9 when I played P4. I know those games were definitely not for my age but the story, music, characters were just so compelling lol.
Number 1: You'll grow to love the characters and they will feel like true friends Persona 4 Golden is my favourite game of all time, i love the family dynamic of it and Nanako is so cute, i could just pinch her cheeks, bless her, if it get a physical release i'll be buying it for the third time (Vita, Steam, Switch)
PS2 PS3 PS4 PS5 PSVITA & PSP are the best consoles to play all persona games on literally..PlayStation consoles handhelds & controllers just goes perfectly together with persona games.....hell they go together perfectly with all Japanese games
Having to play Persona 4 Golden and Persona 5 Royal which have helped me to get into the series, I've enjoyed hearing this discussion throughout and agree on how Persona can be enjoyed by everyone and I am happy for the series to arrive on the Switch.
I will get all the Persona titles on Switch. Currently playing 5 on PS5, almost completed but it is hard to be tethered to the tv, especially because it is dialogue heavy. I even use PS5's remote play to play it on my iPad and it feels more natural as a portable (bar the not so great touchpad controls). It is a great game but I have to be in "pick up and play" mode to fully enjoy it.
My process here: 1. Click on this, thinking it’s a GVG video 2. Hear Zion and think “oh hey this is actually NintendoLife” 3. Hear Jon 4. Mentally implode
I have been curious about Persona now ever since 5 was in the running for Game of the Year along side Breath of the Wild in 2017. I’ve never played Persona or Shin Megami Tensei so I’m definitely curious to check out the series.
@@MarluxiaX2 p5 is good, but for me the story is weighed down by tropey characters, inconsistent characterisation and the fact there are no stakes. E.g ann has her whole arc in kamoshidas palace of being s victim of him yet they force her to nude model for yusuke just for a funny scene (inconsistent characterisation and tropes), and the fact you are twice led to believe a character has died just for it to be made into a joke scene when theyre not. Another issue with persona 5 (and 4, but i think its not as bad in 4) is that most of the main party don't develop outside of their introduction. Outside of story, i prefer the gameplay of smtV because (especially now as I don't have as much time for playing games) I actually spend most of my time playing, not just pressing a to get through dialogue (which in persona is a lot of re explaining things we already know), i dont mind pressing a through social links as thats the point and it is more interesting but there are too many story scenes in p5 that basically go through things that have already been said.
All of these games are absolutely incredible. If you could only get one, then I’d say 4 or 5, since 4 has the best feel and characters while 5 has the best gameplay by far. Don’t get me wrong, 3 is also truly amazing, but it’s a bit on the difficult side, and works best as a second experience in my opinion. I also have to say that the Abel cosplay is awesome haha
@@louish5068 I agree, but I’m looking at this more from a beginner’s standpoint. Even 5 has its moments of difficulty if your only prior experience with turn-based RPGs is Pokémon or something.
I platinum’d both P5 and P5R on PlayStation and I’m super tempted to pick it up again on switch. It’s so good! Loved 3 and 4 too of course, still got my psp and vita copies. Play these games Nintendo fans! Some of the best JRPGs on the market.
Apologies if the video covered this and my bad if I’m inaccurate but I believe in p5 royale you need to get fairly high social ranks with kasumi and maruki to gain access to the last months. I don’t think it’s rank 10 since the social link continues to develop during the added time but quite close at the least
So excited for this. I have never played a Persona game, so being able to play these long JRPGs on the go is fantastic. The only question is when am I going to fit this in with Xenoblade 3?
I suggest anyone who's beggining this series to play the vanilla versions of 4 and 5 before playing Golden and Royal, respectively. Both "definitive editions" are filled with plot elements and even fanservice that you'll only be able to enjoy if you have played each game's vanila version before. About P3P, I usually tell people to play FES first but that's because of what was already explained in this video: P3P plays more like a visual novel, whereas FES allows you to move freely, like you would in a normal game. Plotwise, there's no changes at all (between FES and the male route in P3P; the female route is completly new, obviously).
YES I agree. I am excited to see P3, 4 and 5 final mix editions to come to the Switch (hopefully physical editions; no to cloud editions). I haven't finished P3, I finished P4 and P5. I still look forward to all three again.
I began with Persona 5 Royal. It was my first experience in the series after hearing about it for years, but now I'm looking forward to diving into the other games coming up.
Can’t believe you didn’t plug the good vibes gaming retrospective on the entire shin megami franchise! Derek produced an incredible love letter to the series
Still, my favourite in the SMT-series is the totally underrated Tokio Mirage Sessions #F. It condenses the series idea best and has - for me - the most satisfying battle system. And hell, I'm as far away as possible from a J-Pop/Idol fan, the game had to convince me on the game play level.
Played P5 on PS3, PS4, and P5R on PS5. There was a time a rumoured P5s for switch but turned out its was Persona 5 striker and I lose all hope for the switch. Now I’m not as excited as before but definitely will play this again on switch someday
I can't really say when I got into the Persona series. I believe I discovered them thanks to my little brother with the Persona 3 Movies and then the Persona 4 anime (which I loved) and THEN the Persona 5 anime. I was so instantly attracted to every aspect of the Persona 5 story that I couldn't stop thinking and analysing what was happening, theorizing, and playing the music. Oh. My. God! Beneath the Mask, instrumental, in a nonstop loop? Pure perfection. Fast forward a couple of years, like 5 years, and I finally had the chance to buy a Nintendo Switch Lite (earlier this year) and I bought, without question, Persona 4 Royal. I admit I was nervous for the long hours you have to spend playing, but I can only say the almost 50 hours I've been into the game this far have been amazing, and I'm barely reaching palace #3. I got a lot of things to do ahead of me and a lot of great time to spend with this game. So, to my point, there's no right or wrong moment in time to play and enjoy a game firsthandly. I played and finished the N64 Majora's Mask like a couple of years ago, and I loved every single moment with it. Same thing with Persona 5 and you should play it as well, too.
i am SO excited for p3 and 4, Royal is my favourite game of all time and i higly reccomend it. the New 3rd semester has the best story and characters i have ever seen, so even if you already played the original p5 it is still worth playing imo!
Man i replayed p3p like dozen time already till my psp died And i have p4g on pc, p5r on ps4 Think its time for me to dive back to p3p on switch cant wait
Dude I’m so happy the other Personas are coming to switch along with P5. I started playing P4 on PC after playing P5 on PS4 and being blown away. It’s just not the same playing on my pc monitor compared to doing Persona dungeons on a couch and playing on a tv. I know it sounds like a minor thing but maybe it’s because my pc is in my living room and I played P5 during Covid in my room and it just felt right. I can’t wait to finish P4 and play P3.
I love the switch for games like this!! I can never bring myself to complete dialogue heavy games on console!! Hope the switch gets a power boost because it’s really noticeable how far it’s falling behind now and I love my switch
I've played these games so many times, but I agree my fav of all time is persona 4! I do love persona 5, but persona 4 won my heart. I played golden for the first time on steam, and at first I didn't like the gameplay because I was so used to persona 5, but persona 4 man. the characters started to grow on me! ! love the character dynamic way more than persona 5. Because the town is smaller and so there's less people it feels like. Persona 5 has too many characters, but I love both games, and now I'm debating if I should get on switch or pc. So many choices. Also, persona 3 fes is really good. I liked the characters as well, but not as much as 4.
Persona 4 definitely has the better characters and group dynamic compared to 5. Did Haru and Yusuke ever interact? I also like the fact that P4 doesnt let you break the game too easily by being able to fuse endgame personas early or giving the player too much money like in 5. Other than that I do think P5R is superior to 4 in every other way.
I pre-ordered Persona 5’s special limited edition, but never got to play it. Then Royal came out and I heard it was so much better, so I finally bought it a couple months ago but haven’t had a chance to play it. I guess it’s time for me to buy a third version and hope to play it 🤣 (And finally a chance to finish P3!) Love the Devil Survivor cosplay, I loved that game!!
I wasn’t going to watch this as knew I wanted to play Persona anyway but so glad I did otherwise never would’ve known Jon was here, feels like the good old days 🙌🏼
I’m very excited that these three Persona games are getting Switch ports. I’m a big SMT/Persona fan who happens to own a Switch so to finally see Persona expand to other consoles besides a Sony console is invigorating and could possibly be what will happen with Persona 6. Yes P6 will most likely go on a Sony console first with Atlus having an agreement with Sony to have mainline entries of Persona on a Sony platform but it would only be after they finish releasing the game on said platform that Atlus would expand P6 to other available consoles. At least that’s the hope for what the future of Persona will be like but we’ll have to wait and see when we get there.
I usually play sports(2K, Madden), & shooters(CoD), & Idek how or where i came across Persona 4, but I fell in love w it immediately. Never played anything prior to 4,& never will. I’ve been a fan since. Persona 5 was amazing
I’ve been wanting to get a PS4, now a PS5, to play lots of games (specifically some JRPGs), but mostly I’ve been wanting to play Persona 5 for years now. Especially after Fire Emblem: Three Houses rising to be among my top 5 games of all time with its supports, cast, and worldbuilding, I’ve heard about lots of similarities between the 2 games so I’ve been wanting to play it for a while now. Still gotta save up for a PS5 to play FF7R before part 2 comes out though
20:38 If I am not mistaken, you need to bring certain characters' relations to certain point BEFORE CERTAIN TIME(!) to get true ending in P5R. I agree with John. It is fine to look for steps for true ending for these games. Most of the guides are almost spoiler free.
I played Eternal Punishment back in the PSX but I never got deep into it but when I heard about P3 and P4, I wanted to get my hands on them. When I finally got my hands on P3P, I was HOOKED. It was part JRPG, part social sim with great characters. When I got my Vita, the game I got with it was P4G. My first PS3 game was P5 and now we're getting Royal on the Switch? I was looking at all the extra content on Royal and hating the fact I didn't get a PS4 so this... I am SO looking forward to this. I got a friend who's totally cynical though and going "they're going to gut so much from Royal to make it work on the Switch" and I just wanna tell em to shut up and let everyone scream happily in peace.
Persona 3 is like 16-17 years old. It first released on the PS2 in 2006. The first Persona game was released on the PS1. Atlus has been releasing games since the NES. Its crazy how far ATLUS has come.
Just bought the collection and started with p5r. A bit of a slow start but as an avid reader and lover of Ling books I know an 80+ hour video game isn't going to take off at full throttle and each play session becomes more engaging.
I am about 15,20 hours into persona 5 on ps5. I have been trying to resist playing it in the hopes that it comes to switch. Finally coming. I agree. I prefer to use playstation for big beautiful games like horizon, god of war and ghost of Tsushima. Persona will be perfect on switch.
I have yet to play a Persona game but I was lucky enough to find a copy of Persona 5 for 10 dollars at a GameStop in South Carolina during my vacation Needless to say I'm still very excited for this, it looks amazing and I've heard so many good things about the franchise from Top 10's I've recently beat Pokemon Legends Arceus as well as Kirby Star Allies this week and was trying to figure out which game to play next. Guess it's about time to dive into Persona 5 until the new one comes out huh? :3
Honestly you should wait to play Persona 5 Royal because the original Persona 5 is kind of an inferior version of the game. Persona 5 Royal has quality of life improvements and a new story expansion that sort of remade the game which just makes it the best version. In conclusion you should wait but that’s my opinion 😀
I agree with this person above me, P5 was amazing for me but in my opinion P5R might be my favorite game of all time. Some people will say otherwise but it DOES improve the game quite a bit whether it be quality of life changes, combat. Even the story is waaay better fleshed out. My opinion is to wait till royal comes out. If you are putting in over 100 plus hours then don't you want the definitive edition? Either way I'm just thrilled more people get to experience these awesome games!
Hmm that does make a lot of sense. I still want to jump into the original at some point though since I was lucky enough to find it for the price I did. Honestly I don't really mind playing the game twice but mayhaps focusing on Epic Chef would be the better option for the time being since I've already invested a decent amount of time into it.tl Thank y'all for the advice! I guess I will wait then.
I love the persona series so I was absolutely excited to hear that both P3P and P4G were getting console releases! I played P3Fes back when I was in highschool and to this day its still my favorite entry so I'm looking forward to doing my first Fem run in P3P on the switch! Also super excited to play P4G too since god knows how many years I had been waiting for it to get a release on console considering I didnt own a Vita and I dont do too well with really long games on PC. Seriously can't wait!
I've wanted to play those games ever since I learned of their existence, but having never owned a non-Nintendo console this was just out of the question for me. So you can bet they're going on my wishlist the moment they show up on the eshop!
Very nice discussion. The mere listening to your experiences with this franchise combined with the music and the footage already gives me this cozy feeling from playing the games :) I am more than happy for all Switch only consumers being able to play those three masterpieces finally (P3FES would have been better than P3P though). I am planning to play P5R this holiday finally (played the vanilla P5 back then an PS4 and going to play Royal on PS5) and I will definitely double dip and get those games (as well as Nier Automata) for my Switch now just to support those games. :)
I’ve only played 3 and 4 back in the days and skipped 5 due to work circumstances, plus I have less and less time to play games at home - which is why the Switch is perfect for my lifestyle and thus, a perfect time for me to play Persona 5! But man, it’s gonna be a real tight schedule to fit both Persona 5 and Xenoblade 3 in, on top of other games!😅
@@shade4404 I often hear stories of game consoles (mostly Xbox) being taken on deployment, so I can imagine the Switch being a perfect fit for that. Are there a lot of people with the Switch in the army? I’m quite curious.😃
I adore Persona. I will say in terms of using a guide. On a NG+ or second playthrough certainly use one. I'm currently doing that with P3P but on a first playthrough don't go near it. the games are much more fun if you do your own thing blind first time through.
I'm surprised y'all took so long to play 5. I was busy too, but the game is so addicting I couldn't stay away from it. It would consume my thoughts while I was at work.
bought persona 5 strikers on switch day one and and have yet to play it for the main reason that i knew persona 5 royal was coming one day to switch looking forward to finishing the p5 storyline
Playing P4G, even as early as the first dungeon the game was making me nostalgic for a place I've never been(and am not sure is actually real) in a country I've never visited. Also playing through P5 right now, but I'm waiting on P3 until we get more details on the rerelease. If it's going to be all the best parts of P3P and P3FES I'll wait and get it for (probably) the Switch, if it's just a port of P3P I'm going to want two playthroughs, one on the modded version of P3FES that allows control of the party in combat, one as FeMC on the rerelease of P3P.

I hope you are doing ok now.
P4G was the only thing keeping me alive when i was in severe depression state in my high school years 10 years ago
The footage we saw in the direct was also taken straight from the switch version which looked like it ran really well
It's also a PS3 game, what are people talking about?
@@fregatopolitis if the ps3 can the original then switch can run this also I imagine it runs better than p5s due the to genre
Why wouldn’t it run? The Switch can run more graphically intensive games imo (Dragon Quest 11, The Witcher 3, Doom Eternal, BOTW)

The social links are ultimately about helping people sort through those problems so they learn to live life being content as well, and come out the other end as better people because you helped them change
same I also enjoy playing persona 3. cringe student-teacher love story and great soundtracks haha

I miss those days
Persona 3 FES was my first, Persona 4 is how I bonded with my best friend (even calling our relationship a maxed out social link), and Persona 5 is how I got to know my fiancé when we first met. The Persona series is just such a good game, story, AND relationship builder in real life.
It really is a great relationship builder! I got closer to so many friends of mine due to mutual bonding through these games; they have such a wonderful impact.
It's so good to have Jon back, even if it's one vid now and then. I hope there are more collab vids between GVG and NL

Hearing Jon's voice just made my whole decade!
Always down for more Jion content
I have been playing Persona 5 for over a year and a half now and I’m around 80 hours in the main reason I haven’t finished it yet is being tied to the TV and not always having time to play it. Also not being able to save when I want so having it on switch will definitely be the way to go for anyone playing it for the first time

So cool to see Jon back for a video! Great discussion gentlemen 😊
I'm so excited to be able to finally play Persona!
3:49 "Ryuji from Persona 3"
I think you mean "Ryoji" who is a Persona 3 character.
Love to see John back, it's a treat to see my two favorite Nintendo channels interacting.
Totally unrelated, but I was waiting inline for hours for the xenoblade 3 SE while listening to this and finally got it. Was in line for 11 hrs the first go round and didn't get it. I credit Jon's appearance here. All praise Jon.
Hearing Jon and Zion is so... SO.. nice haha I miss Jon on Nintendo Life so much.
It’s never too late. Especially with these games, it’s time to replay them on the go 🥰 I’m really glad they don’t seem to be cloud versions either so that’s better
Played persona ever since I was 7. 23 now and I'm so happy that the games are more accessible and getting more popular.
How the heck does a 7 year old get through persona lol
@@lambiepie6436 I would watch my older brother play the game and he eventually let me play it with him from time to time. Then he let me play his new game plus file that had everything to make the game easier. (I still sucked and always asked him for help)
I was 9 when I played P4. I know those games were definitely not for my age but the story, music, characters were just so compelling lol.
Number 1: You'll grow to love the characters and they will feel like true friends
Persona 4 Golden is my favourite game of all time, i love the family dynamic of it and Nanako is so cute, i could just pinch her cheeks, bless her, if it get a physical release i'll be buying it for the third time (Vita, Steam, Switch)
Dude
LOOOOVE P4G!
PS2 PS3 PS4 PS5 PSVITA & PSP are the best consoles to play all persona games on literally..PlayStation consoles handhelds & controllers just goes perfectly together with persona games.....hell they go together perfectly with all Japanese games
I've yet to play a Persona game, but I can testify that the P5 and P5R soundtracks are simply excellent!
I’ve been waiting years to experience these games. I’ve never had the means in the past. I’m so stoked they are coming to the Switch!!!
So excited to hear John and Zion together again
This has shot up as one of my most hyped/anticipated releases.
I got p5s for more Phantom thieves now we finally get this so stoked
I remember many going around saying P5R would be too much for Switch like it was some sorta graphical powerhouse game. Good times 😂
My process here:
1. Click on this, thinking it’s a GVG video
2. Hear Zion and think “oh hey this is actually NintendoLife”
3. Hear Jon
4. Mentally implode
Hearing Jon on this video makes it 10 times better.
I have been curious about Persona now ever since 5 was in the running for Game of the Year along side Breath of the Wild in 2017. I’ve never played Persona or Shin Megami Tensei so I’m definitely curious to check out the series.
Try out smt v you have months before p5 comes out and imo it is the better game
3? Difficult? All persona games are really easy lmao
@@louish5068 I agree, but I’m looking at this more from a beginner’s standpoint. Even 5 has its moments of difficulty if your only prior experience with turn-based RPGs is Pokémon or something.
As much as I love Persona 3, it definitely is a game to play second.
The only question is when am I going to fit this in with Xenoblade 3?
persona 5 releases in October you'll have plenty of time for Xenoblade 3
Wow Sir Jon Cartwright is back this is awesome! I think he's doing great on Good Vibes Gaming. "Seven Rings in Hand"
Can’t believe you didn’t plug the good vibes gaming retrospective on the entire shin megami franchise! Derek produced an incredible love letter to the series
For real, loved that video.
I finally have an excuse to play through P5 again… I’m beyond hyped!
It’s not my favourite but I kinda agree. It’s more concentrated and despite the idol stuff the story is very cute.
Altogether now!
EVERYTHING’S GREAT AT YOUR JUNES!
Granted it's not technically Persona, but I just started up Tokyo Mirage Sessions again to prepare for Persona 5. I'm super pumped for it!
It’s basically a persona game haha
i am SO excited for p3 and 4, Royal is my favourite game of all time and i higly reccomend it. the New 3rd semester has the best story and characters i have ever seen, so even if you already played the original p5 it is still worth playing imo!
I wanted to play this games since forever! I'm happy I'll be able to do it now
Man i replayed p3p like dozen time already till my psp died
And i have p4g on pc, p5r on ps4
Think its time for me to dive back to p3p on switch cant wait
6:50 I couldn't stop laughing after hearing Zion refer to romantic partners as party members lmao
What a nice surprise it is to hear Jon and Zion together again!
I guess it’s time for me to buy a third version and hope to play it 🤣 (And finally a chance to finish P3!)
Love the Devil Survivor cosplay, I loved that game!!
Return of the king
Oddly one of my favourite persona tracks, was the somewhat creepy sounding "who's there" from persona 4.
I love Persona 4, I can’t wait for it on switch!
I don’t need to be convinced to play 3 and 5. I played 4 on pc around its launch and loved that game. Can’t wait to play these games!!
This was cozy! Exited to play Persona 5 Royal on my Nintendo Switch Lite!
Listened to this twice. My backlog is big enough, but I've heard nothing but excellent things about this for so long

It’s kinda nice to hear Jon on the channel as a little cameo. Also, Persona 3 is the best game ever made
Woh Jon! Nice to hear your voice on this channel again!!
I have yet to play a Persona game but I was lucky enough to find a copy of Persona 5 for 10 dollars at a GameStop in South Carolina during my vacation
Needless to say I'm still very excited for this, it looks amazing and I've heard so many good things about the franchise from Top 10's
I've recently beat Pokemon Legends Arceus as well as Kirby Star Allies this week and was trying to figure out which game to play next.
I can’t freaking wait to play this game ❤️
Awesome video guys!!!! Miss you on here John! 😁
Nice to see Jon back for a bit!
I feel you man, and believe me that my schedule is tight as hell, considering I'm in the army and all

I wont be getting this on switch because I got the plat on my PS4, but I'm excited for new comers to play this game. It's my favorite game of all time
bought persona 5 strikers on switch day one and and have yet to play it for the main reason that i knew persona 5 royal was coming one day to switch looking forward to finishing the p5 storyline
