Very good video. Saved me hundreds of stealership cost. One thing to add: I did this for a 2009 F250. I simply removed the door handle. Two 1/2 nuts diagonal from one another...and the whole handle slips right out making the lock clip a cinch to reinstall. I have no idea about other years. (Note: there is a small grommet on the inner door to access upper 1/2 nut.) Admittedly the stealership only charged $50 for the repair kit. Once I had everything back in place, I checked the old parts to see why the key would not turn. One (just ONE) of the tumblers had a bent spring and the sliding dust cover door was bent. I saved all the parts back in the baggies because the kit can be used again should the need arise. Part Number 8L3Z-1521990-C. Don't waste your time trying to find a cheaper repair kit or a replacement that might not work. Whole job start to finish was 1.5 hours.
I, too, have a 2009 F250, but I wasn't replacing the lock cylinder, but the door handle, which the old plastic cracked completely through, so this was very helpful in the process. I got everything back together and I somehow got the rod links back in wrong, as I couldn't unlock it, and the door handle was binding so it wouldn't open all the way. Luckily, I left one of the rear doors open, so I wasn't completely locked out! My truck only has this one lock cylinder on the driver's side door, and I never received a key fob when I recently purchased the truck.
Just had to do this today and this video was very helpful, thank you. Instead of trying to replace the cylinder inside the door, I found it much easier to simply undo the two 11mm nuts holding the door handle plate to the door. The plate comes right off, the cylinder is then easy to swap and no busted knuckles working inside the door.

How about a video replacing power door switches and fixing power windows? i have a Ford F 250 2002 and doing some maintenance work on it, replacing them on an 18 yr old truck is needed.
Jet is alive and well. Was working out of the county a lot this year. She is currently one of my daily drivers. Still working slowly on minor paint correction, and we have a couple of small projects still to do: headlight alignment, finish putting rear deck lid logo on, and some side decals.
