    • @javosgarage

      Good point and I completely agree! This does happen on Amazon, eBay too for that matter. Make sure to inspect the part when it arrives and look for Motorcraft stamped into the material. BTW this handle is still working great for me. Luckily I haven't had any more attempts to steal my truck (despite living in the auto theft capital of the USA). I'm glad you enjoyed my video. Ouch!! I feel your pain with the 6.0. Mine has a cracked head on the LH side that is leaking fuel into my coolant. The fuel degrades orings and now the donut under my intake is leaking too. Fun project up ahead! I'm taking that on here shortly. You'll see a video on it at some point.

    I wish I knew this before I have got my truck stolen and I needed to replace my door lock and the ignition switch
    That’s the reason watching this video for the door handle but I like what you said they disconnected the battery and the fuel pump relay I wish I’ve done that before but anyway lesson learned thank you for the video
    Ps if by any chance you still own this truck the police told me that there is a video on TH-cam somebody showing how they steal these trucks in 30 seconds 🤔 I am putting a blank for my door handle no key
    And I purchase a remote control relay to disconnect the batteries , like your truck 👍

    • @javosgarage
      @javosgarage ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm sorry to hear your truck got stolen but I'm happy for you that it was recovered. I live in Denver and we have the honor of being the auto theft capital of the country right now so I pull the fuse for my FICM every night when I park my truck in the driveway. I had a neighbor two doors down have his truck stolen during the day out of his driveway and my next door neighbor had their Jeep broken into. When it warms up here (my truck won't fit in the garage) I'm going to install a hidden toggle switch that will make it quick and easy to prevent the theft of my truck instead of having to pull the fuse. It's a shame that's where we've come. Good luck with your truck, I'm glad you got it back. Thank you for stopping by and taking a moment to leave me a comment, much appreciated!

    thank you for your video. Amazon says that part number is 10'
    X 8" mine is about 7" X 5"

    • @javosgarage
      @javosgarage ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Sharon. I just hopped over to Amazon to look at that for you. I'm not sure why they are giving that dimension, I thought maybe it was referring to the packaging but it's not. I think they may have just put the wrong information in, it happens. That listing is from Hiller Ford in Franklin, WI so they are a reputable Ford parts source. You could contact their parts department at 414-377-4647 to verify fitment (have your VIN number ready when you call). As you can see, it fit my truck perfectly. I hope that helps you. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks for stopping by!

    awesome truck man. I have a 6.7 with those chrome trim pieces on the door handles underneath the trim the color matches my truck is it just adhesive sticking those chrome pieces to the door?

    • @javosgarage
      @javosgarage 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Chris Musso - Thanks Chris! It's been a love-hate relationship with my 6.0 but ultimately I really do like my truck. Actually, I just finished shooting a full flow coolant filtration video that should be coming out in the next week. On the door handles - there is some double sided 3M tape on the back that secures it in position. In the case of this video I carefully (maybe luckily is a better word) removed the cover without breaking it so I just replaced the tape and reinstalled the cover. It's a two piece design: 1. for the door handle and 2. the surrounding trim. They've held up well, whenever they start to dull I give them a polish and they look new again. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks for stopping by!

      The chrome is just a cover. I did remove that from my broken handle and installed it on my new handle so it matches the others. I show that at the 17:00 mark of the video. Hope that answers your question.

    • @kneetotheface
      @kneetotheface ปีที่แล้ว

      the bracket attached to the guide bar maybe got bent? those holes should re-align quite snug and the bolt should screw in relatively smooth. if not, there is a weird lateral tension on the window glass that is pinching it.
