When BTS did a cover of "Fix You" for MTV unplugged, Coldplay left a comment "beautiful " in Korean. But a German radio DJ made a racist comment belittling BTS, saying how dare they cover Coldplay's song and it became an issue. Then, several months later, Coldplay & BTS actually came together to make this song, and two bands developed the most beautiful bond I've seen in the music world. The lyrics "They said we can't be together because we come from different sides" hits hard. This song is so beautiful and meaningful in many ways. It's about love overcoming differences & obstacles that separates one another. ❤️
yeah I can't help thinking that line was meant for the haters including that so-called DJ
to think that armys made him lose his job 🥰
Oh wow I didn't know that happened, what the f*ck is wrong with some people ugh. Good on Chris and the band to turn around and create one of the most wholesome friendships in recent music history.
He left right away because he said it was BTS's stage and he didn't want to take away from it. It was also the same reason Jin said he did not want to say anything and left right away after his song ended during the Coldplay concert.
I love the song wrote for Jin. Chris really cares for BTS. A beautiful friendship for sure.
This song collab made me an army. Coldplay made me find BTS ❤
Welcome!
I love this!
Just out of curiosity what made you decided to check out more BTS after this collab and why you decided to call yourself ARMY. Just curious, if it is too personal, I understand.
@@AJP.OT7 my sister introduced this song to me bc i love coldplay. when we were watching the mv, i kept asking her their names. after that, i looked up some of their contents on my own and i fell in love with their carpool karaoke. i fell down the rabbit hole real deep, real fast.
@@an_yeong that is cool! Carpool Karaoke has gotten so many ARMY lol. Glad you have joined the journey. Do you have a bias? I personally don't like to say I do for some reason (I know it isn't a bad thing but still for some reason...) however I do have members I relate to, the most-Suga, Jin, Jungkook, and Jhope (slowly Tae too)...I just say I am OT7 lol. I will probably eventually relate to them all at some point, but I have only followed them for like two years.
I was there and I never screamed so loud in my life. It was so emotional because we celebrated Jin's birthday earlier (actually twice during the concert). I screamed, I cried, I sang til my throat hurt...it was incredible.
Did you get one of my perfectly made and labeled paper moon ARMY bomb covers? I want to find someone who did! I made 399. One of these days I'm bound to find someone.😆
@@flyushkifly Yup I got one of the moon covers and used it for Jin's birthday. It didn't make it in my luggage on my way home but it was fun to put it on the bomb at the concert. Thank you for making them. I'm sure Jin got a kick out of seeing all of the moons for his birthday!
I was there! Story time:
It was the year I turned 50 -- a milestone birthday, by any measure. But because of the pandemic, most of my IRL friends were still skittish to go out. Even so, I felt compelled to do something truly memorable for this one. And so when the PTD concerts were announced, and despite having no ARMY friends at the time, I decided that my gift to myself would be going to BTS's first live concert, post-pandemic. I knew I HAD to be there.
The last show in LA was on 12/2 -- just 2 days before Seokjin's birthday, and 4 days before mine. Kismet. Serendipity. Meant to be.
So, without telling anyone -- not even my family or my job -- I managed to get a single ticket to the last day of the concert, put in for PTO the day before for travel time, and hopped in my li'l Honda hatchback. I drove all day from San Francisco to SoCal, checked into my cheap hotel, got a microwaveable frozen dinner, and went to bed early so I could be well-rested for the concert.
Since the first PTD concert on 11/28, I had been monitoring my Twitter feed, seeing that Megan Thee Stallion had made a surprise appearance on D-2 of PTD in LA. And that sparked a small flame of hope in me. I thought to myself, "What if Chris Martin were to come and perform 'My Universe' with them? That'd be the best birthday present ever!"
And, well, y'know...that's what happened. I stood in the audience, singing along, crying, laughing, dancing and jumping, surrounded by ARMY, filled with so much joy. I'll never forget it. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜🪐🪐🪐🪐🪐
Aw tks for sharing! Aren’t you glad you did that?! I’ve traveled twice to see them, and both times befriended army’s who were there on their own and good for them!
Love your birthday story! Sometimes that's what it takes to live your best life. Congratulations on making your 50th the most memorable birthday ever.
Wow, what a great birthday present to yourself and what a great story - running away for your first BTS concert! Well done and I'm glad it was a joyful experience for you.
Did you get a paper moon ARMY bomb cover?? I made 399 of them. If you got a perfect one with a label on it, I made it. LOLOL I keep hoping to run into someone in the comments who got one of mine. 😅
@@flyushkifly I DID get one, but it didn't have a label on it. 😑 Thank you for your hard work! 💜
Jin had his BT21 character (RJ) plush doll tied to the back of his head. lol
During that concert, Jin had different hair-do/looks each day as a fun surprise to Army at the end of each day's concert. One of the days he had the pig-tail of the character (Young-hee) in Squid Game, another day he had an apple/fountain hair, and so on.
My daughter and I attended the last two nights of the LA concert tour and it was amazing for our first BTS concert experience. My Universe was a complete surprise and it rocked. We even saw BTS at the Jingle Ball the following night on Jin’s birthday, which was touching and fun in a smaller venue. Additionally we attended two of the concerts in Las Vegas and we have tickets to see Suga in concert near Chicago. We love BTS!
John is also seeing Suga in Chicago!
Enjoy life moments with BTS members.
Wow! You’re really good at getting tickets! 😂 have fun in Chicago!
I was also at PTD LA D3 & D4 hoping for Coldplay and they fooled us up to the very end. Then BTS changed up a few things for PTD D1 & D2 Vegas. I saw J-Hope at Lollapalooza and I'll be in NY for Suga D1 & D2 followed by D2 & D3 at Rosemont. BTS performances are more than just music it's the feeling of togetherness you experience with having so many ARMY around you. I've been to many concerts in my lifetime and nothing beats BTS.
Seeing Suga in New York day 1. Have fun Army! 💜🫰🏻
You can see how genuine BTS and Coldplay are with each other, it's heart-warming
I play BTS songs for my baby ARMY 75 y/o Dad.
Dad's top 5
1. My Universe ( he calls it You Are My Universe)
2. Dynamite
3. ON
4. Butter
5. 00:00
When I see it written down I think, hmm. That is a weird list, but honestly I'm so happy he is open to new music.
Oh, he likes, That That and Vibe as solo collabs. There is such a huge space of difference between those songs you could drive a truck through sideways.
Just wanted to share, because it's my 75 y/o Dad. We are so diverse. 💜
Suga used to be so shy…but he has really come out of his shell lately and looks happy! He’s so talented!
At the end of each PTD concert Jin came out with something new on his head...one night was the ribbon like the doll in Squid Games, this ne was RJ, his BT21 character, I think he did hearts one night.
This night was so awesome and such a surprise. They also performed it together at the AMAs, but the audio was all screwed up so it was not good.
That night was so awesome. I went to the first show and last (that was my first BTS concerts) and I'm so glad I went. I was one of the best concert experiences I have been to and I've been to a lot of concerts.
I love the Coldplay BTS friendship. Also I love how in the live performances e.g AMA's Jins voice is so clear in the harmonies
TAe´s voice in My Universe is so beautiful, my fav part of the song!!
I was there!!!! My 17 year old (at the time ) daughter and I were there all the way from Texas!! And it was absolutely amazing!!! Like more than amazing!! It still gives me chills to watch it . The energy in the stadium was overwhelming and 100% breathtaking! I will never ever forget it !
And Jin had RJ strapped to his head lol
I loved this collaboration between Coldplay and BTS. It was so heartfelt, genuine, and uplifting. My heart expands 100-fold whenever I watch the making of My Universe. I couldn't love both bands more.
Jin has often strapped things to his head to be funny, usually toward the end of a concert when they come out to talk to ARMY. In this Permission to Dance L.A. Concert he strapped his BT21 character, RJ, to his head. This was the character he created to represent him.
They all performed this together at the AMA's the crowd went crazy. They all created their own animation character... Jin has RJ strapped to his head, but the night before he came out with pig tails looking like the Squid Gamer girl who killed people... everyone knew exactly who he was portraying. I never stopped laughing.
jin has a unique ting he always does on concert. for the wings tour he had harts hidden everywhere in such creative and funny ways. and for this he had a cute hat or a bows in his hair like a little girl. it´s so funny and army expect it of him.
army also surprised him at the same day for his birthday and made purple "lampshades" for their army bombs to put over with a small window showing a moon.
like his solo song moon. it was the cutest.
so instead of round bombs you saw purple moons. army always amazes me. they did the same for Jin in argentina when he performed with coldplay
Watching the behind the collaboration video, I can see how Jin wanted to work with Chris Martin again. He helped Jin a lot, he is so supportive and encouraging.
70 year old Army here. I think you might have missed the opening story about the "Silencers"? On the MV music was banned across the galaxy by the Silencers and they defied the Silencers. Love this whole thing so much! Thanks John!!! 💜
I was lucky enough to attend 2 shows in LA and Las Vegas. I attended this one and when we thought the concert was over "My Universe" came on and Chris was on stage. The crowd went crazy. I was in the upper tier and it was shaking so hard. I took a video of this performance but it look shaky because everyone was jumping up and down. We kinda of knew that Chris might appears that night but when it actually happened the scream from the crowd was so loud. It was great way to end the last day of the concert. This was my absolute favorite out of the 4 concert I attended.
Thank you so much for this deep dive into this wonderful collab, John. You will be pleased to know that this collaboration was Jin's idea. BTS are fans of Coldplay - in their 2016 Bon Voyage series there is a scene where they have just settled into their accommodation and they were listening to Coldplay. Jin has been their super fanboy from a young age. Props to Chris Martin for going to Korea to record the song - I think it was right at the height of Covid restrictions but with travel beginning to be allowed. He had to jump through quite a few hoops to be allowed into the country. I love the lyric video - it's like a spaceship going through hyperspace. Totally love the music video - "My Universe" is part of the Coldplay album "Music of the Spheres" hence the cosmic theme. This song is special to me because this is where it all started for Coldplay and BTS. I don't know how huggy the Coldplay guys were before meeting BTS but they certainly learned - hard to be standoffish when the boys are running across like excited puppies to hug you, lol! At the PTD concert BTS asked Chris to say a few words after the song but he refused because it was BTS' concert and I suppose he didn't want to grab the spotlight. So he came, he sang and he left. Funny thing, Jin turned the tables on him when Jin came to Argentina to perform "The Astronaut". Chris wanted Jin to say a few words but Jin refused because it was a Coldplay concert. Then he reminded Chris of what he said at the PTD concert! So in Argentina Jin came, he sang, then said thank you and left.
I was there in the 4th row on the floor! It was absolutely incredible and one of the best nights of my life! You asked what was on Jin's head, it was RJ, who is Jin's BT21 character. Jin likes to wear silly things at the end of concerts to make Army smile. :)
I think the song my universe with coldplay and bts ,deserves a grammy
hmmmm, the first video I believe is Suga's remixed... there are a few versions. One of the cool things about this collaboration was Chris flew to SK during the pandemic and had to wait in quarantine for 2 weeks before he ever met BTS. That's dedication, love, and respect... which is amazing. Who does that? Ha loved being with them and brought gifts. BTS gave them all hanbok outfits. When Chris would perform My Universe in his concerts BTS would come on screen singing like holographs which were really cool.
I remember all the speculations army did, when we heard that Chris is in South Korea. It was a fun time but the result was bigger than all expextations imho. 💜🙂
I was there and it was so amazing to see it in person. There wasn't a dry eye in the stadium. Watching your reaction today transported me right back there and I type this with teary eyes...again! Love your reactions John. Keep 'em coming!
My Universe has been in my head again, recently.... Literally every time I watch one of the videos I get chills. I've been a Coldplay fan since waaaay back when they first hit the music scene here in the States. I've been ARMY since late 2019. When word hit that Coldplay was going to colaborate with BTS, I was so over-the-top with excitement. They slayed it. It was so far beyond any expectations I may have had. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the song.... Thanks for spending so much time with your reaction. It was awesome! 💜
Chris was in interview and the host said something very negative about BTS. Chris did not let it slide and said that he feels very protective of members of BTS. 💜
I was there at that PTD concert, day 4!! It was an amazing night. Thank you for reacting to the videos, esp. the behind the scenes one which shows the synergy between Chris and our guys.
This whole collab happened because Jin wanted it and if you notice every single interview Chris did after the song came out, he always mentions Jin and calls him worldwide handsome, every single time .. he is really close with the guys but lil bit extra with Jin .. remember he wrote The Astronaut for him to say goodbye to army for a while .. the production of this song was amazing 👍👍🥰🥰🥰🥰💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Wasn't because Tae suggested it tho??? He even was the one who suggested to make the Fix You cover
@@starises4596 it was Jin .. when asked who they would like to collaborate with he said Coldplay long before it actually happened .. Thats why Chris is so close to Jin of all the members
@@shireenedoo1978 but he became close to him after the collab tho, tae was the one who suggested it according to Billboard
@@starises4596 As I understand it, Tae was the mastermind behind the Fix You cover. The "My Universe" collab was Jin's idea. It was either in an article or interview. However it happened, it was the start of a beautiful and rewarding relationship, as Christ Martin put it.
Why did he gave Jungkook the most lines?
The way Coldplay adores BTS. I'm waiting for an official adoption announcement from them. 😊
During their interview with Ellen, they showed a group photo of Coldplay and BTS and Chris said "we look like their uncles".
Yes John I was there!!!!!! ….. and the bonus part is…. I shook hands with Chris Martin inside the elevator on our way to our suite!!!!… he told us not to take pictures because he was the SURPRISE GUEST for the ARMIES🤩🤩🤩🤩🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰💜💜💜💜💜💜. One of the most humble, nice guy, so friendly too 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼. I was so happy you choose this clip🥰🥰🥰💜. This is so nostalgic 😄
I loved your deep dive into this!
And you replayed many of the same parts I did, causing amazing double double replays! 🐇🐇😻
Watching your journey John from not being able remember their names or tell them apart, to knowing the sound of each of their voice w/out seeing them has been wonderful.
I was there! And it was amazing!! Jin always does a special something for ARMY every night for their encore ending ments. Chris didn’t want to take up any space that BTS could spend with us for the last show and also pretty sure he had to fly out to go back to his own tour in Europe! 😂
I was there and it was the best surprise and best way to wrap up those 4 shows!! I’m so glad these two bands have formed such a seemingly tight bond. 💜💜💜
Nothing as wholesome as the Coldplay BTS friendship.
It doesn't matter how many times I see it, Wembley stadium "Young Forever" makes me cry everytime. It might be because of how the members cried as ARMY sang but also how that was one of the last times they performed before the pandemic. Yes they have performed since then now but it still makes me emotional.
Oh BTS and Coldplay also got to perform my universe together at the AMAs that same year. Full band and instruments. They were so cool, I got to watch it live from home
There's a mini documentary behind the scenes when they met up where Chris gave Jin his favorite guitar and signed it, cause Jin is the oldest. It was used as prop in Jin's Astronaut video too in his room
Daughter and I attended their LA performance and were surprised when Chris M showed up for this performance. We were like…🤯🤯🤯🤯😳😳😳😳😳
I wasn’t there in person but I did watch it live. This was also the night they celebrated Jin’s birthday. The PTS live plays were so much fun. It allowed us ARMY that couldn’t get tickets because they were sold out in minutes and those that couldn’t afford to go a concert to actually watch. I watched every live available for all the PTD concerts. They had a version where you could pick different cameras to watch from.
I really hope they will have live plays for Yoongi’s concerts.
Thanks for reacting to these. If you ever get a chance, one of the award shows Coldplay performed at that BTS couldn’t attend they actually had their holograms on stage performing. It was pretty awesome to see during a live show. Could you imagine having collab concerts with hologram from bands around the world and live bands?
Have a great cruise. See ya when you get back.
💜🫰
Omg! I was there at this concert I almost peed myself screaming when Coldplay came out! It was incredible! Will never ever forget it! Thank you for this reaction. ❤
I took my two granddaughters to that one and the one in Las Vegas. What an experience 💜🫶🏻💜🫶🏻💜🫶🏻💜
I flew from Chicago with my sorority sister to see two of the Permission to Dance shows in LA. We had a great time! BTW, we both turned 60 last year 😋
As i've said before this song is so beautiful that it makes me both smile and cry at the same time but now I've seen the MV I'm crying again it's so beautifully filmed and made I'm just in love with it and hearing those harmonies again especially Jimin with RM and Chris Martin with JK it's so beautiful.
So one word to describe the entire song and MV is beautiful as it remind me just how much the lads miss us and how much we miss them.
I was there to witness this performance at the LA Sofi concert. Jin is wearing his own BT21 character.
Watching this now again! I remember u saying Jin and Chris's voice are kinda similar and powerful. In their AMA performance, Jin rocked it with Chris. Not the official video, that sucked, you can barely hear them. I watched it on a fancam, you can hear them all clearly.
Yes I watched all four concerts and each day is different. First day was a different playlist than the rest of the days. The 2nd day Meagan sung butter with them. And then the last day they sung my universe with Cris. It’s was epic!!! I already lost my voice after the third day. That is why on the last day I could not scream or sing along with them nothing was coming out of my mouth. So I just danced away.😊💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Hello from the UK 🇬🇧 I've loved Coldplay for years , I've been Army since 2019 . Love your reactions to BTS. 😊
Nice to see RJ involved and enjoying himself 💜💜💜💜💜🤞🙏
I love this song a lot! But I will admit I may have watched the making of more often than the mv 🙈 It makes me so happy! Thanks for this all in one reaction John!!! Really fun.
So glad you liked this song - it's so cool to see them collab with like minded people like this and as you say have so much fun. I was also really impressed Chris flew out to Korean, he seems like such a genuine guy.
Also to answer your question as to what is on Jin's head - he appears to have RJ strapped to the back of his head 😂 that's his BT21 character
You probably know this by now, but whenever BTS is talking about space, like stars, planets, the moon, galaxies, constellations, cosmos, astronaut, etc….it’s a song about or for ARMY. Not all their ARMY dedicated or directed songs reference it, but a lot do. It’s a reference to multiple things, but includes the way ARMY bombs look like stars or their own personal galaxy from the stage.
My daughter went to see BTS in LA. In response to what was up with Jin, the thing on his head was his BT21 RJ. It was also during his birthday in 2021. The fans made signs for his birthday and he loved it. That was also during their live comeback concert after covid.
I was so there...Coldplay was a special gift for us on that day. It also was my momma's first concert ever. And she's 77. She enjoyed it so much. We also celebrated Jin's birthday that night as well. It was the most amazing night for sure!!😊💜💜💜
My favorite collaboration, is a Masterpiece!
When Chris exited in a hurry he said he did not want to say anything because it was a BTS concert, Jin wanted to do the same in Argentina when he did The Astronaut stating the same argument but Chris insisted he says something further adding Jin has an excellent memory.
Chris needs to see this one
Jin got me in this one SO hard.
His "I was fascinated that such a celebrity was willing to work with us."
My first thoughts on seeing/hearing that:
1 - Uh, Jin, honey, LOOK IN THE MIRROR! Who the hell WOULDN'T want to work with....
2 - Wait! Shit! HAS there been someone they wanted - actually asked - to work with that turned them down???
1 - Just proves how humble they are.
Like, hello? You're freakin' BTS!
BTS is just as big - if not bigger - than Coldplay.
2 - I don't think they'd publicize that if there were.
Even their cyphers don't call out people by name, so them saying "We asked X, but he/she/they said no" really isn't their style.
Plus, if that did happen, WHEN did they ask?
I mean, asking an English speaking ("Western") artist to work with them the year they debuted, maybe even in 2014, sure, I could understand someone turning them down. Kind of like a, "Who are these kids?" kind of thing. Since I know back then, they only had a small handful of international fans.
Now...from around 2015 and beyond? Well, yeah...if they did ask someone since then - and especially now since Dynamite - I really, REALLY, wonder who (if anyone) did say no to them.
Though, I guess I can, sort of, understand that, too, though.
There were MANY "ARMY" who said Coldplay was in it for the clout when the collab was officially announced. They didn't know, at the time, that it was BTS who asked Coldplay to collab, and NOT the other way around!
They do get a lot asking them...and have turned down a few...alas, they didn't turn down enough of them, sadly, but I think they did learn from those experiences so maybe it just boils down to them being a little more picky now? Both with them asking others AND agreeing when others ask them.
There is a making of this video also...Maybe a Bangtan Bomb
I was there. I screamed so much that I couldn’t talk for a week. Best night of my life. It was awesome!!!💜
I was there!!!!!! We freaking lost it when Chris Martin showed up out of nowhere. They were supposedly going into their last song and then sprang that on us. I didn't think I had energy left but I was suddenly jumping up and down madly screaming.
Such a wonderful song, thanks John for your reaction! 😍💜
I was there! It was an amazing show and this was the icing on the cake. I love Coldplay and have seen them in concert twice so it was great to see them perform together!
Suga did a remix of My Universe that's on the Coldplay channel. I think it's nicknamed the Tropical Remix. It has what sounds like a steel drum beat.
Yes!!! I was there! It was so amazing, the crowd went absolutely crazy. I’ll NEVER forget it. (And yes Jin was hilarious with RJ on his head)
I was there! It was amazing. Such an awesome surprise…
I'm a huge Coldplay fan and have followed them since their first album, and I was beyond exacted to see them in a K-Pop collab (my other love) with BTS. I got to see them in concert for my birthday in 2006 😊
They deserved the grammy for this song, sigh. What a great and wonderful collab.
Can you hear RM’s voice in the background…I’m sure they had such a blast performing together..
Here are a few observations of mine (or maybe facts) about this song, which I have made comments on it back when this released in the Autumn of 2021 ...
- This song of course is a Coldplay song & BTS is the collaboration.
- It is part of Coldplay's album "Music of the Spheres", which is a reference to ancient Greek philosophy about the orbital harmonies in our solar system, also known as "musica universalis".
- The song & MV are not only outerspace-themed because of the title of the song, but also because the entire album is space-themed, because of its ancient astronomy reference.
- The DJ's spaceship looks exactly like an Armillary Sphere, which is an astronomical device that goes back to ancient China & Greece. No one told me about this, I just knew, because I was a student of astronomy as a kid, so when I saw it, it was very familiar, but could not put my finger on it, until I refreshed my memory by researching it again. Also, if you have heard of an "astrolabe", then the "armillary" is related to it.
- The "Silencers" can be symbolized as the virus, which in this context would be Covid-19, because the Silencer ship looks like a spherical virus (under microscope). In reality, this pandemic silenced more than just music.
- The MV's story kept 3 bands worlds apart, symbolizing our real life divisions where the pandemic restrictions kept all of us at least 6 feet apart, but on one world. Of course it also symbolizes other ways that were already explained, such as divisions in geography, conflicts in religion, gender, politics, prejudices, xenophobia, doctrines, economies & other schools of thought.
- Supernova7 is the 3rd band, who are all made up of different alien species, which to me symbolizes how all of us consider each other as "alien" in a geopolitical context when we are from different nations, where the word "alien" is sometimes stamped on passports & green cards, as non-citizens or non-residents, yet again we are all from the same world (Earth) & we are all actually biologically related to each other, i.e. "family".
- Going back to the DJ's spaceship, if anyone had not noticed yet in all these months, it did a hyperspace jump, starting from that yellowish nebula during the intro text & reappearing inside the planet's rings. It does a flash at both times so you could see it better.
- The MV uses the concept of "holography" & holograms, which may be still far off in real life, as it is still in its infancy. However, we are already doing things with "telepresence", where we can sort of be driving a robot, using a camera & speakers on it, in an office controlling it from across the globe while we are in our pajamas at home. Telepresence is also being used in tele-robotics & telepresent medical surgery. But again all of this is still pretty early. But here in the MV, holography is how all the different bands' were communicating with each other visually, symbolizing how in real life that electronics & the Internet has kept all of us in contact somehow during the pandemic, as well as at any time before & after, such as us typing comments here on YT which then spreads across to anyone able to read this, or also live streaming, as long as you also have Internet & a browser or phone app (application).
We were at the very side of the stage and were wondering what the big balloons were for. Then bam! Chris Martin. It was amazing. Because of that, Halsey, Megan, my mom doesn’t question why I try to get to every show. …try.
You don't know RJ? That's his "son"...his BT21 character. He does something weird with his hair/hat/head every concert that I have seen.
That’s Jin’s son, RJ. His BT21 animal. 💜💜
I was there 🎉 we didn't know, my lil bro is super fan of Coldplay and he was just there to support me 😅 he has the time of his life, also Jin has rj his son from bt21
I was there and it was AMAZING! 🎉 one of my favorite memories of the PTD LA tour😊💜💜💜💜✌🏼
Been lucky enough to see BTS in concert 7 times, lucky seven! And even after getting waitlisted for Suga Agust D on Tour, managed to secure a pair of tickets. So my daughter and I will be there to witness that as well, God willing. 🙏🏼
Yes, I was there..at the end we were down when it was the last song then
Chris came out.. oh my god… the whole stadium came to life… it was amazing
I needed to comment because the friendship that the boys from bts and coldplay built from My Universe is very beautiful, it's true. The hospitalizations between the two bands proved how everyone there loved each other, it's no wonder that months later Jin called Chris to help with his farewell song (The Astronaut), the presence of Coldplay at the BTS concert... Anyway, it was a meeting of souls, and I am very grateful for all this love. Coldtan is wonderful 💜
freakin vibed with this a ton. insane musical content. have I been living under a rock all these years?
I was there for all 4 shows at SoFI and all 4 shows at Allegiant in Vegas.. LOVED IT.
I'm not going to lie, this is not my favourite BTS song, but I still love it for what it represents. I don't think the BTS members are often treated as truly equals, nor do I think it is easy for them to make genuine friends. It feels like Chris Martin does treat them as equals. He's been really open about his own initial prejudice towards them and admits how wrong he was. He invites others to be open and challenge their own prejudices. He also goes to bat for them in interviews, defending them as his colleagues and friends, challenging lazy interviewers who imply BTS are foreign nobodies riding on COLDPLAY's coattails. Martin won't allow that kind of trash talk and stands up for them every time. I'm grateful to him for that. All of us should stand up and be counted when it matters, just so. Racism should have no place in our societies.
I miss them all alot😔💜 hello there Mr. John Reaves, thankful that you always have stories, reactions for BTS... looking forward for more.
11:08 Fun fact: They recorded this before the release of Butter so Chris would be one of very few people to hear it before it was released.
I Love this Song so much and this collab ❤❤❤❤❤
MU is such a good song!
I think Jungkook's voice is phenomenal, his lower register in MU gave me goosebumps. You should react to any of his solo works, like Dreamers, Euphoria etc.
I was fortunate enough to be there this night and also the night Megan the Stallion came too. We all went crazy🎉
The window of her ship was shaped like a Heart
There is a fan cam for this song where Jin rock it ! He really was great but unfortunately no camera caught that performance ..when I watched the fancam I was surprised! He really a great singer
I was there D3 and D4 (which this performance was from). I cried.
Can’t wait until you react to Jimin Set Me Free 2
I agree with you John....it gave a lot of us the time to prioritize what really matters.....Love the reactions......they have a behind the scenes on how they made the MV.......#OT7
I LOVE this song. I love that the guys got to do a song with a group they've admired for so long ( esp Jin )
I love that RM sings instead of rapping ( after my first listen, I paused myself and realized "RM doesn't rap! He's only singing!")
I love the message of the song. I love that the guys look so great and happy in the video. I can't help but smile when I see it. 💜
Totally agree with every word that Dami said... I see this video, hear their voices and I totally connect with each and every one of the boys & Chris. I could sit and listen and watch this video over and over again.

So right, John, this song greatly encapsulates the hope we all needed at a super difficult time. ❤
They also performed it live at the AMA's 2021
I'm so glad you also reacted to the documentary! I was going to recommend it if you hadn't already reacted to it.
I love the meaning behind the song lyrics. It such a great message in a world of hate and wars currently. That is why I love BTS and Army. We are from all over the world, speak different languages and have different cultures but BTS brings us together as one big family. We were in LA for the first show and last show and we kept thinking that Coldplay was going to come out but after the 4th day we didn't think it was going to happen but Chris came out at the end of the 4th show. The audience went nuts! I got it on video and I love to watch it except the big planets kept getting in the way of my video :D All of BTS was in such a great mood at the concert (including Suga) cause this was their first concert since Covid started. It was kind of a dark time for BTS and Army and this concert kind of said that everything is going to be okay. It was healing for everyone. Thanx for showing these videos John!
Love this song and the MV is amazing ❤
John, look up BT21. BTS designed a line of characters that they thought resembled or represented them. The drew the characters themselves. Jin's was RJ, the toy on his head.
Oh my what a great way to start a Saturday !! Smiling like a complete idiot when I saw this pop up on my feed.... Also just want to say that the bass line on this track is just awesome.....Thank you so much John !!
