    JK is considered the main vocalist of the group so the more songs you hear you’ll note how he has a lot more lines. But you are right in how he is the glue in how he does a lot the ad libs and how he seamlessly harmonies with all the members

      More than just the glue, lol he really stood out to me when I first got into BTS. He seemed like the main guy because of how many parts he had and how long he seems to be in the center position but turns out he's the main guy out of the main guys, lol. Since each is important (:

      jungkook himself said it: "without me there's not BTS" or something like that, i dont remember, hahah.
      its not having a ego, its the true, ofc each member is member, but having such a BIG position (because is incredible all he does in the songs, must be so tiring) like being main vocalist, is just CLAP, CLAP.👏👏
      ad-libs, harmonization, high notes, stability, and all u can imagine has his voice in just ONE song. the admiration i have, omg....

      the thing i cant believed when i was new fan is the first time i watched a live of him, BRUH, HE TALKS AND CASUALLY DOES A TRIPLE HIGH NOTE, and the funniest thing ever is how his face is so: "😴" when singing, the man knows is natural talent.

    7:12 jungkook does most of the harmonies, adlibs, and doubling under the other members in most of their dischoreography which you can really see for example when dj swivel did a production breakdown of magic shop. As you said he usually doesn't get the longer parts because he usually acts as the glue. It's great that you're able to understand and break it down since most people don't understand what goes into recording and all the layers in these songs.

      Jungkook typically has the most lines lol it’s why ppl always freak out about distribution … but most color coded lyrics are wrong… and tend to show others during jungkooks parts … but you’re correct about the harmonies doubling and adlibs… it’s so annoying how underrated and diminished what he does is just bc people have other biases and makeup all these false statements about the others even though if bts is ever asked who is their best singer… they never hesitate to say jungkook and never have. Jimin and tae have been seen for years asking for jks help with recording… but also with live performances and how to do their parts in the strongest way live…. So frustrating that people who have them as biases still try to discredit jk just to boost them up. They all have their special roles in the group and the place that really is their passion and it is openly respected , supported and promoted by the rest of the group genuinely. I’ve been really hoping he will watch Ida s jungkook king of acapella video, main vocalist jungkook by ida s , jungkook singing on vlive by ida s or like her “he golden maknae” video to learn more about jk. They struggles and success style videos for the other members were better done than that channels “jungkook is the perfect role model” video was really old and more rumors than facts sadly. I really hope he takes the chance to give jungkook that attention he deserves as well 💜

    Do you know what's ironically unbelievable, coincidence is sometimes a scary thing, fate or destiny really loves to play with BTS may it in joy or sorrow. Do you know what happened to the world a month after this comeback? PANDEMIC. This song becomes a fighting song to many armys or maybe even those who stumbled upon it by chance. Even though the boys were also suffering during the whole situation themselves, they still kept in touch w/ armys releasing joyful songs to give hope, going to vlives to play w/ armys, offering comfort & consolation by also expressing their feelings abt the situation through their album BE. They became a light to many during the dark time. The world is blessed to have these boys existing. Sometimes, I think they are too good for this world. I just wish for them to always be healthy and happy. These guys are making and doing music that not just for the ears but also for the heart, mind and soul. The content of their songs is what they had lived, been living, and will live, that's why it's so powerful. They move people.

    Jungkook is amazing. He is incredibly talented. He is a true vocalist. You can tell it when he randomly sings backstage a cappella; when he takes Army requests & sings a free concert on his V-lives. He does A LOT in their songs….a lot. I think everyone that is Army should watch Ida S’s Jungkook the Main Vocalist of BTS video. He is largely underrated by a large portion of their fanbase. But as every single member of BTS has said he is the most talent & they would not have made it this far without him. Multiple producers that have worked with them have talked about how impressive he is & a dream in the studio. JK is extremely humble. He’d rather stay in the back & let someone else have the spotlight. You can tell that by how he always has the least lines in the songs he writes. He is always bragging about the other members voices & encouraging them. Several years ago when they were on tour there were videos of him helping other members backstage with how they should sing certain parts or with their solos. He also knows every members part. There are videos of other members asking him about their lyrics back stage. RM asked him about his lyrics one time & Jimin said why are you asking Jungkook about your lyrics & Jin said because he knows everyone’s & he did know RM’s lyrics. I have always loved that there is no ego between the BTS members.

    • @KW-tc6rk
      @KW-tc6rk 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It should also be noted that while he’d rather be in the background the other members get a lot of credit for not letting him. Especially Tae & Jin, they are always pushing him to the front & encouraging him.

    I am so glad you picked the Jimmy Fallon live. It is one of my favorites! Jimmy is one of the bet when interviewing the guys. He knows who they are and asks only appropriate questions. During the pandemic, they had a BTS week on Jimmy Fallon with the guys performing their songs in historical site throughout Korea. It's pretty amazing! I saw someone else mention it, but you should really watch Ida S.'s Jungkook as main vocalist of BTS. She's done several really good videos.

    You said it correctly. Also, you are correct about Jungkook. Please watch Jungkook as the Main Vocalist of BTS by Ida S. You'll see just how much he is the glue as you mentioned. They did use a gospel choir in this as well as UCLA Marching Band drum line when recording much of this one. Can't wait for the MMA performance. Keep in mind that was during the pandemic, so no live audience. It's beautiful and great, but it hits different than the others. And, yes, Suga is out due to having and recovering from shoulder surgery.

    JK is the main vocalist which in the west would be considered the "lead" vocalist. RM has often mentioned how important he is as the center of the group because he is good at everything and often carries the others (both vocally and, at times, physically). As an OT7 I can talk about the unique contributions of every incredible member but this is what I will say about JK being the glue in performances. That is his role and the other members recognize that he is. Thanks John.

    Jungkooks bridge is one of the most iconic bts vocals ever… there are so many highlight vocals from all the members… and this one is just insane in full voice lol he said he almost died recording it … hearing him do this in carpool karaoke sitting in the car is the craziest thing i have EVER heard lol no mic no processing sitting chilling in the car … it’s nuts.
    Jungkook and jhope sound different in every song… the problem is that bc jhope is rap it’s a lot more obvious… half the time jungkooks vocals get mixed up with each of the other vocalists and ppl will think they’re hearing taes deep voice or Jin and jimin higher notes but it’s actually jungkook lol it’s impossible to really know and appreciate how unique what jungkook does with his voice is and the level of techniques and the extra hours he spends in the studio created the magic that is his harmonies and adlibs… he really is the king of harmonies and adlibs. He legitimately does almost all of them and he really always has. The other members actually ask him to do new adlibs and stuff during their vocals or raps lol bc they love what it does for the song live… the more you notice the more you’ll catch right away. You can’t understand his range or infinite bag of vocal techniques without hearing him sing on a livestream … and other artists songs… bc it really shows how we barely see just a fraction of what he can do in bts music… he doesn’t have just one main style he is known for… bc it’s always different . He’s so underrated and under appreciated in this fandom bc people are so biased and lack knowledge of vocal production in a track, live vocal effects and audio engineering… and do everything they can to diminish how special he is as a vocalist. All bts vocalists are god tier… absolutely… but jungkooks passion for singing is what sets him apart a bit.. they have different focuses In the group bc of their personal passion for that area and this is his… I just really wish anybody who doesn’t get the hype or see jk as special as he is would watch these vlives where he sings live and raw… it’s truly amazing. Please check these out when you can :) or “the golden maknae” by ida s to see what every member says jungkook is “the most talented person “ that they’ve ever seen… and why smart af rm gave jungkook this nickname of being good at everything 💜
    He did run bts, that that, super tuna , my you and still with you on a vlive the day after the festa dinner … but he also does some Korean ballads that were pure insanity… he did a song called 1230 by a group called beast who gave 6 extremely different vocal tones, textures and styles… some rap and vocals and he did the entire song and each persons part but better in a stronger elevated way with a freakin karaoke mic lol it was insane!!! He’s the only one that goes on vlive and sings and really lays it out there .. no processing … used to do it with no mic at all… just sat there singing what people requested as long as he knew that song but it’s all spontaneous …. You really should check out maybe a sampling like “jungkook singing on vlive” by ida s just to get a little glimpse of what I mean… you’ll regret waiting so long to watch this … it’s crazy to hear his raw vocal quality in such crazy diverse and contrasting tones with so much power but also so breathy and gentle… it’s the only way to really see what he can do

    This entire production was INSANE!. I must give my respect & admiration to the choreographer of this piece. She is the beautiful young lady in the front at the beginning of the video n dance practice with the red hair. Her choreo is one of THE hardest BTS dances of all time & the most intricate I've ever seen (Aside from Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation). It commands your attention & keeps you until the last stick hits the floor. Fun fact: she was only 18 years old at this time... WOW 🤯. I also love the way the entire room was hyping our boys up. Some of the comments were rude by saying that they needed to shut up but it's because of their chanting that the boys were able to even finish the practice strong. Cause if you pay attention, their energy starts to wain a little bit before the dance break due to exhaustion (They filmed the Black Swan dance practice before ON which is why Kookie n Jimin are barefoot). It was almost like you were at an exciting pep rally & I am here for all of it!. 💯💜💣💜💣💜 #LetGetIt #ON #ThoseMovesTho

    Tidbit : Sienna Lalau did the choreo for the mv for BTS "ON: ...Manifesto.." official video:
    Sienna Lalau, from the LA area, did this when still in her teens. She appears in the video leading the dancers up front & center at the beginning of the video.
    Sienna also choreographed BTS's "Dionysius" performance dance (watch it live, amazing).
    Sienna Lalau also did the choreo for J-hope's Chicken Noodle Soup and is also dancing in it (see shorter girl with the yellow/black outfit with the other 3 dancers near the beginning).

    They all always kill the dancing at the dance break.. it’s so smooth and satisfying to watch.. but jungkook and jimin just crush that whole ending dance parts switching off but jungkook is front and center for most of that powerful dance sections bc he is so strong and you can just feel his energy through the screen as he hits those body pops and his musicality is insane… also his whole double spin at the dance break part is just so dire.. then jimin and tae and their parts at the end there.. taes isolations and small but precise pops and then jimin with the power footsteps and fluidity just hitting those last body pops SO clean and precise but smooth is honestly confusing to watch bc it’s just like best of all aspects of dance from jimin in like 3 seconds of choreo lol but only jimin can hit it like that. Jhope of course his dancing is always fire and precise … musicality is on point but all of them kill it honestly… not just them… all 7 put their own flair into it and make their parts very much their own which I happen to love! No weak places or members just all battling through together!!! We love it

    About the lyrics, the lyrics you see in the mv is the official translation. The lyrics video channels make a lot of mistakes for the translation and they sometimes get wrong who is singing what (because those channels make these as fast as they can when a song comes out and they dont correct them after)

    • @mollyfurball
      @mollyfurball 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not only lyrics are often inaccurate or of poor quality, these lyrics channels are actually STEALING $$, making 6-digit $ or even millions $ from the original content owners (ie. HYBE, YG, JYP, SM, etc. also any other record companies in the US, any owner) by gaming TH-cam copyright loopholes.
      Several whistle blowers exposed this 2~3 years ago with explanation videos, circulated for a while. Seeing there is a surge of new ARMYs and new reactors these 2 years, I think it's time this issue is made aware again. Not only Jaeguchi (biggest), most others do the same thing. Here's one of the expose poster out there.
      th-cam.com/video/W1Bvb4KCKLE/w-d-xo.html
      th-cam.com/video/HhKgErLRlzM/w-d-xo.html
      So it's always best to use reputable/quality fan-translators (even with context and cultural explanations), just they are in text not video/audio format, and may not show who's singing, although the color coded sometimes get them wrong also... ha.

    Jungkook often has the most lines, as others have said, and often has long parts. His voice, like JHope's is so versatile that he changes it up (he talks about finding the right color for each song) depending on the style of the music. V and Jimin have very distinct sounds, and are easy to pick out, while Jungkook's like a chameleon and people don't always realize who they're hearing. He often carries the melody or harmony while V and Jimin sing, which rounds out the sound and elevates the whole song. (Please don't misunderstand me; Jimin and V are both amazing vocalists in their own right, and perfectly capable of carrying a song on their own.) All of the others have praised Jungkook as their main vocalist; as you said, he is definitely the glue, and to me, is what gives BTS their signature sound. I recommend "Jungkook the Main Vocalist" by Ida S to learn more about the role of the main vocalist in a KPop group. It's an actual position, or job within the group, and comes with a lot of responsibilities. As a vocalist yourself, you might find it interesting.

    Rm explained how they were planning on taking their hiatus after this tour. They had a huge world tour for this album, but as soon as the videos for this song were released, and they got to perform it on Fallon, covid shut down everything. That changed the course of everything. Stuck in Korea, they did the BE album, that they completely self produced- down to the decisions on the packaging, the videos, the writing and production, even the clothes they would wear for the concept photos, and their makeup ! The songs they wrote for this album were their feelings and mental hardships they were dealing with through covid lock down- not being able to tour and perform, and they actually worried that ARMY would forget them ! Then came a string of singles, English singles. These were not a part of their plans. RM talks about this period during the Festa dinner. So, for two years, between the release of this, and the announcement of their solo work, BTS were in a state of limbo, and I feel like it was a very hard time for them, physically and mentally. If you go back and listen to Black Swan, Louder Than Bombs, and the other songs, they hit completely different- now that rm and Jimin alluded to the things that were going on, and how there were things that they wanted to tell ARMY, but couldn’t, they were crying out back them about how they were feeling, and we never picked up on it! Now, for my own theory- when PD Bang stepped down from being their CEO, and they got a new one, also, BTS were made a commodity, being placed on the Korean stock exchange. All of a sudden, shareholders enter the picture! Everything gets turned upside down for them, from loosing Bang PD, and BTS having to make sure they are keeping shareholders happpy. It seems like all their security gets shaken. Then these English singles- a total departure from the essence of BTS. This is just my opinion, but, I think that they would not have chosen to do those, if they had any say about it. They got a lot of hate from the Korean ARMY, accusing them of selling out and abandoning their roots. I feel like this was a move by the new CEO, thinking, what better way to establish yourself, than to be the one who was responsible for breaking BTS into the American market and orchestrating the first kpop artists a Grammy. That would be a huge accolade for the new CEO, and cement his worth in the company. I never recall hearing BTS talking about this new guy, or see any pics of them together- except for the end of the Permission To Dance video, when Hitman Bang, the new ceo, and staff members all joined in the dance at the end. I haven’t heard anything that indicates a relationship with this new guy. I think we may hear, in many years to come that things were not as sweet in Hybe/Bighit, during this period. Could any of this be what RM and Jimin were referring to when they said there was more they wanted to say, but couldn’t ? We may never know, but things did change, in spite of the guys trying to appear as if everything was normal. But one thing for sure, BTS would never blame anyone.

    • @blarmy827
      @blarmy827 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      They’re actually still under bang pd… they always have been lol he stepped down as ceo of hybe but is still in charge of some idols and groups which includes bts. They’re saying that it was hard not to discuss that they were gonna take a break but basically waiting and waiting for the pandemic to happen just to end up having to do it this way without getting that world tour that they had put SO much work into. These English songs were simply fun happy and light songs with no specific messages or personal connection bc they had no group plans in the works when it comes to songs or albums… and bc they had to keep waiting and waiting… just was hard mentally and physically feeling like they had no direction anymore…. And now that they waited two years bc they thought the pandemic would end sooner makes them regret waiting sadly .. but they can’t change that now … and that’s hard on them.
      Also bts has been getting hate from karmys and saying they were “Americanized” and lost their roots LONG before the English songs were even a thought… it started when they did comebacks on American television and decided to do the New Year’s Eve ball drop instead of the normal Korean award shows. Around DNA and Fake Love time was when that started… and it’s easy to understand that this was happening bc of the song “idol” everything about it… the lyrics the sounds, the music video, the dance… so it’s been going on from like 2017-2018… the English songs had nothing to do with that lol bts gaining worldwide popularity forcing their way into the spotlight in Korea only happened after they blew up everywhere else bc of the big 3 monopolizing the kpop industry … saying they were Americanized was just another weak excuse to try and deter bts success… but clearly it didn’t work lol

    There is a really cool making of for this video. The marching band is the famous Blue Devils and the choir that you heard in the background is from UCLA. They inspire so many people, it was a really moving behind the scenes.
    Also the girl dead center at the beginning is the choreographer, Sienna Lalau from The Lab in LA. She was 18 or 19 when she choreographed this for them.

With Black Swan, they danced in bare feet. That's why some of them were in bare feet practicing. They were scheduled to shoot mvs for ON and Black Swan while they were in US.
    Just for a fun info, Ariana Grande was rehearsing for her BBMA performance in the same bldg and visited BTS' dance practice. She took a picture of herself with them and put it in her SNS expressing how out of world their new song (& choreo) is.

    Yes "Bookish Theories" are one of the best channels for BTS lyric and mv breakdowns(they're kinda underrated in my own opinion). Their approach is more philosophical and I love how they perfectly explain the songs in the context of the album that the song is from plus how they connect the song to to other songs . You gotta check out more of their analyses. They're very extensive. They did an analysis of the official music video of this song(the one you reacted to was the choreography/performance focused video...there's an official visual mv with a storyline for "ON") and it's so amazing...I understand the song even better now and their explanation of "black swan", "dionysus", "singularity", "pied piper", "serendipity" , "film out" are my top favorites from their channel. Actually when you do react to "Black Swan", I suggest their explanation(it's perfect). Now "xCeleste" and "DKDKTV" also have explanations for the music video of "ON"(the "BU" content one not the Come Prima one) but I love her explanation more.

    • @kthsantisaresuckingmydick.748
      @kthsantisaresuckingmydick.748 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      its because Bookish puts the personal meaning explanation for the group/member/concept of the song***. DKDKTV just does the korean explanations for letting free interpretations to the personal meanings.
      for that i just read the lyrics from Doolset (or if dont have the song translation, i read from other) and if something is confusing i watch a explanation.
      I think Bookish is good in just some things, but in songs like this with complex things is muuuch better DKDKTV. The Come Prima dont need so much over-analysis, and i wish him watch the MV and see the MV explanation, because many people forget that exist and just watch the dance.

    If you want to hear all the vocals live you can watch their encore stages of”on” from music shows and award shows… they dont dance during them but there’s usually no heavy back track and mostly live singing … there was some drama about some of them and the singing in one of them I believe but didn’t seem like anything big deal to me lol but also the carpool karaoke with janes corden… that is iconic especially jungkooks bridge.
    Of course if you watch the main vocalist jk video or like the jungkook king of acapella by ida s video or even she has the livestreams of him singing and taking requests for what to sing and he sings without a mic into the camera and sometimes with a mic … but you’ll never hear a bts member more clear singing than that lol

    Hi, I am back. Good reaction, ty. I am glad u liked this. It's fun to see someone knew listen to BTS songs for the 1st time. Love seeing the wonder and pleasure. For choreo this song has the hardest one BTS (방탄소년단) 'ON' Kinetic Manifesto Film : Come Prima. Jimin ult bias, Suga wrecker, OT7. Jimin started us off. The 2nd person u saw was V. RM the leader was 3rd. RM writes and produces a lot with staff. He is our poet. He has 148 IQ! This is the performance MV and there is one more for this song plus a live in NYC as u saw. Hope u check out the other MV. It's interesting to see all the versions especially because American artists don't really do this. =0p This one has my fav production. The droid shots are so cool. And yes pls check out the behind the scenes. They have them for all their songs. This song was a collab with an LA dance crew called The Lab & UCLA band. Sienna Lalau from The Lab choreographed this she was 19yo at the time. She has a YT. Her crew won World of Dance season2. They are great! I listen to techno, pop, R&B, soul, country, etc. They mix the sound and it sounds great. And yeah they all give us good vibes thus we love and support them. Usually new ARMY follow Big Hit & HYBE on TH-cam this is how you see all their songs and other content. You should follow xCeleste too and get ARMY updates. It took me a while to figure this out no one told me, lol. Another good follow is DKDKTV .They break down real well some of BTS' more complex songs. =0) And follow BantanTV too. They have an older song called Fire. Yes, it's fire. They have a song called Dope too yep it's real dope. Life Goes ON is a great song written during pandemic from their recent album BE if u want to switch up. Have you heard Stay Alive its a OST from their new webtoon called 7 Fates Chakho. The song is by JK and produced by Suga. So it's a 1st time unit song between 2 members. It's awesome! Pls check it out. So excited for u to see more of BTS. Hugs. Stay safe! #YouAreEnough --NY USA 2019 Army💟

Yes, the other dancers each show a lot of individuality in their clothes and accessories, and this is very different from the usual. In other videos (N.O, Not Today, MIC Drop) the backup dancers all wear the same thing and wear masks. (This was all before COVID. Masks hid their individuality, since they represented concepts like "the establishment" or "haters".)

    the lyrics can be connected to bu, can have its own mini storyline connection to the albums map of the soul which are linked to jungian theories, and can also be interpreted as bts telling the western music industry that theyve already beat the korean industry that tried to tear them down theyll be able to do the same with the west. "bring it bring the pain, im taking over you should know cant hold me down cause you know im a fighter"
    tbh thats my favorite interpretation of it especially knowing everything both industries have tried to do to tear them down. feels like bts fired back at them or bts laughing in their faces.

    About the bare feet in the dance practice. They were out in LA, rehearsing for TV appearances upcoming on both coasts. Their two presentations were gonna be ON KM and Black Swan. The contemporary passages in Black Swan are better done in bare feet. They were practicing for both presentations. In some rehearsals I've seen for Black Swan, Jimin starts in boots or shoes, and then behind a screen of the other members, has to quickly get down to bare feet.

      The ones where jimin changes to bare feet is actually after they do the “black swan” performance from the most concerts lol he took them off to do his solo dance after the group. Jk and jimin actually randomly do dance practices barefoot… and jimin s contemporary background with basics in ballet and stuff mean he would be comfortable with this…. Jungkook does it to build strength bc it’s a lot harder to dance barefoot just like jk used to always do dances in tims lol building that strength. They did it for the big dance break from. “n.o.” Dance break with mots as well… seems like they do it off and on and think only they know why 😭 we appreciate the grind tho right 😉

    This was a great reaction! I don’t know how many times I’ve watched this. The official MV for this song is so very different but just as meaningful. The whole Map of the Soul 7 is a masterpiece in that the album is about Carl Jung’s theory of individuation. So you will see persona, shadow and ego. I love this album!
    The Kinetic Manifesto is incredible! I saw that others recommend Carpool Karaoke and I agree. JK is amazing! His vocals are incredible and he does much of their demo tracks. If you notice, just before his solo, the members retreat in order of their age. Everything they do has significance and meaning. There is a making of video for this and also another video that shows the UCLA drumlins involvement.
    Again, great reaction!
