Uncle Pooly, small details like the voiceover quality and blending voiceover to music, fade in/ fade outs were excellent in this episode. I really appreciate the time you’ve taken in making this cape/ Simpson series a pleasure to watch
@Unclepooly the quality of the series shows the time & pride you've taken in production suite. And some good tunes as well. Great trips series, thanks for taking us along with you and Jess. Looking forward to the next series of vids.. 😎
@@Unclepooly instead of doing voice overs to the video would be awesome if you sat down in front of the camera and told the story and just edited in the parts yours talking about. like the first video you made. voices overs are kinda gay and your a naturally good story teller
I love how you take all the setbacks in your stride and don't turn them into clickbait like most other channel do. Your genuine style is what makes this channel better than the rest. Cant wait for the next vid.
Hey Unk ! Hello from the states (Arizona ) Glad I found your channel I been building a 1997 single cab Tacoma with inspiration from you Aussie's and what we do in the states working on a tray in my garage currently keep it up you have a sweet rig and your friends!
Neat video, crazy trip. Amazing how much stuff actually survives these type of trips. Keep the chassis and body and continually replace everything else, lol.
Nice work, great episode that I should have been working instead of watching but it was very well put together. I have really enjoyed watching you go through the old tele, we went through mid June (got home last week) and seeing the lines you took through all the 'challenges' and how the tracks changed by the time we came through was great, felt like we were back there again :) I have shared your vids with a bunch of people as you did such a great job showing what it's actually like - thank you - I can only imagine how much work it is to get the content, charge devices, plus the edit at the end. The Simpson crossing doesn't seem as exciting as the Cape, hard on the gear too - the mud, mud and more mud would do your head in after a while (and the endless whoops - thanks Jess) Top stuff lads, I look forward to the Flinders exploration as that's my back yard and the run down on the Starlink install, we took one of the earlier ones with the stand and it was good, but the setup and pack back down in the box was a hassle and so some days we didn't bother.
Hey mate! Thanks for taking the time to write this, your appreciation means a lot to me these videos are a lot of work and im glad you enjoyed them! Cheers mate 💪
Pwwrrrrrrrr, great catching up with you at the Outback Equipment expo. It was awesome walking through the gate there and the first thing I saw was your 4x4 and you. Cracking vid too. Congrats on 50k subs!!! You'll be at 100k subs in a few mths.
We were a few weeks before your crossing and had no one on the Rig Road for four days. We replaced the windscreen of our near new 76 after the claypan mud ruined it. One hour in Birdsville pub and we started planning another crossing. Our brakes were almost cactus too eh. Great footage Pooly.
Worth the wait and I am glad you did it different to tj and Mac. Looks like you put more effort into, the voice overs and music. Keep it up man quality over quantity
Howzit Uncle Pooly, from Cape Town in Sunny South Africa. Love, love, love your TH-cam vids. You have an awesome persona, wicked rig, fab co piolet and flipping awesome mates 😊 great adventure colab with TJ and Mac. Keep up the great content and your style of editing and story telling. Stay true to who are and keep the 4bie passion going. Looking forward to the many more adventures and colabs that you are going to share with us. All the Best Andrew Pwwwwoooahh!! 😂😂
Ripper video pooly loving this series mate Was sick to meet you in person down at outback Equipments open day and see the big gold Ute keep up the ripper content mate 🤙🤙
Great vid as always! Would be interested to hear more about that manual proportioning valve and how you've got it set up, seems like a good idea compared to the factory LSPV
Hey mate! Its an aeroflow one and its mint, screw it clockwise for more brakes anti clockwise for less kinda thing, old school proportioning rod was no good with all my suspension travel and this works great!
Gday Pooly, Jess, TJ & Macca, what an absolute brilliant trip through the desert, like I said on Macca and TJ’s episode we all need to learn from you guys on how to have a shit hot time away with good mate, brilliant episode as always mate, cheers
Perfect timing mate, just sat down after a 13hr day in the shop fabbin' on my Land Cruiser. Grabbed a cold one and did a few cheesy eggies quick like on the barbie and fired up the vid. Cheers from the US of A! 🤙
Legend. Can you do a detailed run down on spares you carry. Seems like you were mostly prepared for that trip and there was a couple of things I wouldn’t have thought of. Cheers lad
Another awesome video I do enjoy the sound of a V8 turbodiesel especially yours Pooly puts my GU Patrol to shame when you go to the Flinders go down to Bendleby Ranges epic 4WDriving I took my son there for a week even Tyler Thompson says it epic cheers legends 😄
Buddy the best episode ever. Wow. BUT. Can you please show us more 🤷♂️ we love your content it’s so good 👍 and I think you probably could have had two more episodes in that. Could you get passenger princess to do a bit more filming and editing. Sorry Jess. 😂 I’m sorry but we really love your content. And we love Jess. As I said in cape York street it out a little bit. Tj and mac will help with that 👍
Love your shows Pooly. Also your suggestion to carry a set of alternator brushes for the 79. Local Toyota dealer does not have listing. Where did you pick up your spares? Thank you in advance and keep up the cracking content
Hey mate they have been great! Not a single drama only thing i have found is i might have to maintain pressures in them which to me just means checking with a tyre guage every now and then. Run them for the whole desert trip and also up to the start of cape and back but we trailered my naughty wheels up for just the north of cairns stuff
Pwwwwoooaaaarrrrrrrrr, another amazing episode pooly! How do you find the noise of the turbo sucking through the snorkel? Sounded quite loud during some of the footage. Does it annoy you at all?
Hey mate! Its quiet as can barely hear it, i drove a next gen ranger once for a weekend with the same kind of snorkel and it was horrible 😂 couldn’t even talk to passenger with window down in that one so definitely not complaining about mine!
As boring as it sounds, I love the fact that the gang always seem to either thought thru what was gonna break & had spares on hand, or had a way to think it thru. So well done Uncle, the video & sound mix on this one is spesh! 🙏🙌💪✌️
Uncle Pooly, small details like the voiceover quality and blending voiceover to music, fade in/ fade outs were excellent in this episode. I really appreciate the time you’ve taken in making this cape/ Simpson series a pleasure to watch

G day mate great video also how have those internal headlocks been going ? Have any problems?
Hey mate they have been great! Not a single drama only thing i have found is i might have to maintain pressures in them which to me just means checking with a tyre guage every now and then. Run them for the whole desert trip and also up to the start of cape and back but we trailered my naughty wheels up for just the north of cairns stuff
