I LOVE these videos Jeremy does, they are such eye-candy. I live in Cumbria UK where it rains 10 months of the year (don’t get me wrong I love living here and experiencing all four seasons) but I appreciate seeing a completely different lifestyle presented in a non-superior way; Jeremy isn’t boasting about how he lives he’s just being himself and I could watch him all day. I actually started to drool when he was cutting that brisket🤤👏😁
Just revisited this video as have been eyeing up a new smoker. Great content, as ever. Can’t believe I missed the best line on TH-cam the first time around though… “If you don’t like that, we can’t be friends.” Amen.
Ironwood 885 owner here. Appreciate your review of the Timberline XL. Like the lower cabinet and paper roller! That induction burner is a nice touch too!!! Saw those Meat Church seasonings! We love’m too!
Found your video because I am a new home owner wanting to check out grills, your production and attitude made me fall in love with your personality - but seeing how you're from Florida as well, that explains why I like you so much. You got yourself a new like, sub, and loyal follower. Thanks brother for the advice
This is both an awesome grill and an awesome video. If TH-cam hands out awards for winning content and winning providers, this video should be right up there, in the running. It's worth the viewing. The grill? Man, I want one. Wow!
My hardware store has one on the floor. I'm going to buy it purely bases on the strength of your honest enthusiasm and forthrightness'. Oh yeah,....subbed! Thanks!!!
First off, awesome video/overview of a feature packed Traeger! Now, it's feature packed and there's no denying that it's a set it and forget it rig. But, I'm just not dropping $4k on that thing! I'm actually in the market for a good pellet smoker to go beside my stick burner for the days/weekdays where I can't tend the flame. This thing, while it looks pretty end all be all, just doesn't add enough value over the say $1k-$2k pellet smokers available. And that's a hard $2k jump to sell! Electronic temp control, overnight hoppers, Wi-Fi... those are all standard features now. There's gotta be a serious wow factor for that $2k hit and I'm just not seeing it with this Traeger. Now, if we had a blending hopper that could add x amount of maybe some Hickory from chamber A and then x amount of Applewood from chamber B in an user adjustable sequence, that would be the type of feature I'm wanting to see at this price point! Again, awesome video! Totally get this smoker isn't for everyone, I just value what each of my dollars does is all!
I can totally appreciate that opinion. It definitely holds a premium price. I will say though, there is an X factor that can’t be explained by features on paper. This thing cooks way better and pumps out more smoke flavor than any other pellet grill I’ve used. Also don’t think I’ve ever seen a smoker with an integrated induction burner and wireless probes. Both super handy. Still at that price it is definitely not gonna make sense for everyone. Just food for thought. Or brisket for thought…depending on how ya wanna look at it. 😂😜
I agree that this is a REALLY nice grill. IF you're looking for the max features AND price, the Camp Chef Woodwind Wi-fi with the Sidekick might be considered. For roughly $1,500 you can get a large pellet smoker (the 36 in model is pretty big) and the sidekick with griddle and bbq box. I've been enjoying reverse seared steaks and such for some time, all on one unit.
Awesome video from start to finish! Love everything Traeger did on this grill and it’s pretty clear for those that might not want to drop the coin on this model that Traeger has some future grills that will feature a lot of these improvements at a price point that better suits those consumers. Good thing tax return season is here, I know what I’m spending my check on!
I retired 2 weeks ago and got one of these as a retirement gift from my work. Pretty nice of them although I haven't done a ton of smoking. Guess I'm about to... It is pretty heavy duty and appears well built and is a beast. The thing weighs 289 pounds. Hope all the electronics hold up, time will tell.
DAANNNGGGGG!!! How am I just finding your channel now?!!! Smashed the sub and notification buttons and loving your channel. Awesome review, love it! So glad to be here and support. Thank you 👍
Really enjoyed the video. Really nice grill. I've got a Camp Chef Woodwind Wi-fi with sidekick griddle and bbq box so, we've had most of the same functionality for some time now. With that said, hats off to Traeger for bringing it.
never seen this guy or channel before. I just clicked on it because I saw the Traeger. Then I saw the Chris Reeves knife. Man of good taste. Alright, I'll continue to watch. Then I noticed the "This is the way" shirt. Okay, I'll click the like button. Then he gave his full disclosure on his uninfluenced opinion. subscribed.
I saw this the other day on Sam the Cooking Guy, but he only showed it off and cooked food. As is his thing. He didn''t show off the whole unboxing. Damn man. I need to get my cooking onto some TH-cam or something cause these things are dope! Thanks as always Jeremy!
U was in my new feed .. I clicked.. 1 part was funny 2.part u made some great points .. 3rd great to explain the grill... 4th u get a sub 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾 u hit all the factors... I dont mind watching ..
Picked mine up yesterday while smokin a butt on my 8 yr old pit boss! Loved my boss but the family has grown and so have my cooking needs…that said today is burn in day and can’t wait for wife to wake up cus I don’t want to start without her! This is next level! As the guys loading it up said yesterday, as they were loading it one kid says to the other, this is how you know you made it!
Looks nice and more heavy duty like a Yoder YS640S. Seems like they may have some takeaways from Yoder. I do like the high heat side burner nice touch. Still sticking with the Yoder its more of a competition style pit and made in the US with heavy steel on every part. Hats off to Traeger for stepping up their game.
First of all Meat Church is fantastic & a reminder I have to order more. Will add just because it fits Bearded Butchers has some good rubs have to support beared people. Its like cigars & brown liquor I have my favorites but also like to mix it up and try others. So I keep Meat Church & Bearded Butchers in stock but like to try others. As for the smoker think it's neat looking and has neat features, I did like your review. But honestly the price is what stops me and I do agree sometimes you get what you pay for but same token I honestly wonder how much is in the name. For me I been saying my next smoker will be pellet and I considered them higher end brand is RecTec their built like a tank, I do think Traeger makes great products mainly in higher priced ones, but do think their over hyped. I currently use a Char-griller Gravity 980 for money and features its fantastic charcoal smoker. Not to reference cgars again but there are some off brands or not well known that are like half the price, truly amazing, & just as good. Great content as usual
Baaaaaaaaadass as all hell, also this video quality is beyond exceptional recently, love Taylor but every time I watch one of your vids, I think back to in the podcast when he said his video production is superior to yours 😉
This is now on my list of items after I purchase a home. SOLD!! I think everyone would watch to see you dance, once! 😁 BTW, Traegar has paid to push their commercials to your channel. If that was your intent, congrats. Mission accomplished. 🙌🏼
Great video Jeremy!!! I love all the designs and features of this smoker! I can't wait to get my hands on one of these bad boys. I'm saving a place for it right on my patio! Living here in Michigan, I am just a little concerned with the screen and how cold tempuratures might affect it using it during winters, because winter will never ever stop me from smoking in the winter. Although I didn't drop my phone, but I did "drop" my desktop computer mounted to my desk, meaning I threw it against the wall, not really, but felt like I wanted to after hearing that price. Who am I kidding, it will still look amazing on my patio.
Thanks for the phenomenal content Jeremy, Really appreciate the in depth insight and dead honest review! Absolutely love it brother! I think my hearts set on this monster of a smoker now!
I was about to buy IMO the best smoker ever Lone Star Grill smoker until I saw this review. LSG has almost all these features built in already but not as fancy trims. The induction burner is a game changer! LSG has a chrome valve ONLY as an ash oil dumpster with no way to put a bucket underneath. LSG has a real competitor now. Soooo, where’s the smole stack? Clean burning effectiveness?
Question. I just picked one up. Day one. After burn in, I am having issues with extreme temp fluctuations. I have had a recteq for years and only see temp variations of a few degrees. This new one seems to be much worse. Set at 400.. runs between 435 and 375. Gets better as the cook goes on. Is this common for Traegers?
they did a great job with features on this grill. i’d like to see a bigger hopper. also don’t knock scraping i do not foil my pellet grills let them season and scrape the crap off
I went from stick to pellet years ago…just little something always been missing. I got turned onto a Char Griller 980 Gravity. It’s pretty new to me so jury is out, but liking the cook of real wood with the convenience of the electronics. Do you think Treager will enter the gravity field?
Yeah I still like the ole stick burner when I have time. But ya can’t argue with the results and convenience of a good pellet grill or a gravity fed. I don’t think Traeger would get into the gravity fed game, pellets aren’t kinda their deal. But….ya never know. 😉👍🏻
Thanks for the video! How accurate can the grill maintain cook temperatures? For example if you set it at 250 degrees does it stay there or fluctuate throughout the cook? If so, how much?
Great video Jeremy, We are on the pre-order list here in Manitoba Canada. I hope it does well in our winter which can get to around -30C without wind chill!
"Put that steak on top of your head. Your tounge will try and beat your brains out to get to it." First time I've heard that and I freaking love it 🤣. Will definitely be adding that to my saying list!
Awesome video. Just got done building our room that was largely inspired by yours and spent about 5K on that…. Wife may kill me if I spent another 4K because of you!!! Lol. Good video none the less. Brisket looked amazing.
What a beaut! I just snagged a IW 885 yesterday. Looking forward to my first smoke this weekend. I am use to smoking on a 18.5 WSM (modified to all hell 😂). Love that smoker but wanted to enter the pellet game.
I like it, but I don’t like the lack of a direct sear plate. If I was gonna spend that much on a pellet smoker, I’d go more boutique and get a Lone Star Grillz with the fire board controller. That thing is a beast Thanks for the great content as always!
I have almost pulled the trigger on the Lone Star Grillz pellet grill (I wan't a pellet grill that can get to as close as possible to a stick burner). This one now has me at least studying BOTH a little more. Decisions!
Awesome video. Thank you. I am selling my house in VA and moving to FL. Now I’m seriously looking at taking some profit from the sale to get one of these bad boys! You convinced me! Duvaaaaal!
Had I known this was coming to market, I would have waited and not bought my IW850. I’m not spending 4K on a grill after spending 1600 on my IW. Great review!
Hit the nail on the head. A bit spendy. But amen Traeger, finally added some of the features folks want, and will keep them competing with all the others on the market. About time to see the Meater integration too!
Great video! I would imagine that Traeger will come out with something less featured up to get the $4K price down. Personally I don't need an induction cook top, and could live without the Meater probes. This is the pellet grill Weber SHOULD have brought to market!
I purchased a Traeger way back in the day here in Oregon when they were made here in Oregon this thing is still going strong but thanks to your content I’m going to upgrade to this one. Keep up the good work, like the man shit vibe. U.S.M.C
I own the iron wood 880 and I freakin love it. Can’t justify the upgrade of this but I’m definitely a fan boy of the brand and don’t doubt how good it would be.
They have them at my local Ace Hardware but I was told this weekend they can't release them for at least two more weeks.... I'll end up getting one but I really think traeger missed an opportunity to have a rotisserie
Thanks for the love brotha!!!!!
Anytime brotha!! Happy to help spread the word. You’re doing good things my man! We gotta connect sometime. 😎🤜🏻🤛🏻

You should check our recteq pellet smokers. Top notch quality with fair prices. Traegers are overpriced to cover all of their marketing.

You did a great job brother and want to thank you for putting out some phenomenal content 💪🏽
Jeremy, awesome content again! I'm really happy that I've watched this after dinner and not before.

Same, I'm moving to Sweden and I am going to be the envy of the neighborhood....if my wife will allow the budget lol
Taeger brings smoked barbecue to the everyday man who doesn’t have the time or know-how to run a wood smoker. Overall just way more convenient.
I love my Traeger that I have now but I may need to upgrade haha. Awesome video!
Great video👍 and can't wait for the new zippo, today I smoked my first ever cigar and can't wait to light the next one with it.
Here for the algo and to say you rock. Don't have a good day, have a great day
You’d be the best neighbor, bbq smoke rolling all the time. The grill looks amazing but I agree the price is gonna keep a lot of people away

Would love to see more videos of the grill . That’s a decent beater car price . Looks cool for sure
It was the best ribs we have had in a long time, thanks for sharing, we love you guys 🔥

The timberline 1300 is on clearance right now in my area kicking the tires on that or the ironwood xl.. What one would you choose

Meat church bbq rubs are amazing. Just found them at academy and I got quite a few cans of it
What a beaut!
That thing is a beast
Thanks for the great content as always!
I have almost pulled the trigger on the Lone Star Grillz pellet grill (I wan't a pellet grill that can get to as close as possible to a stick burner). This one now has me at least studying BOTH a little more. Decisions!
Hope you do a tour of your outdoor kitchen soon....
Were did the brisket come from looking to get into something other than Costco Briskets sometime they cook well sometimes they don't !!
Hello buddy , is have a ironwood 885 👍Please how do you use the feature prime auger.. To remove the old pellets out of the auger
Awesome video. Thank you. I am selling my house in VA and moving to FL. Now I’m seriously looking at taking some profit from the sale to get one of these bad boys! You convinced me! Duvaaaaal!
Nice!! Moving down here where I am. Welcome! 😉👍🏻
That bad boy kicks ass! Might need to upgrade my ironwood 885.
Awesome review of an over the top pellet grill. It does cost 4X the cost of my Camp Chef Windwood 36 with the side kick. But I am still jealous.
Had I known this was coming to market, I would have waited and not bought my IW850. I’m not spending 4K on a grill after spending 1600 on my IW. Great review!
The new models always seems to drops right after you buy something! 😂
The Koenigsegg Jesko in a grill form! She's a beauty for 4k😳
Great Review, when you said what the price was I'm glad I wasn't holding my phone ;).
😜😂
Awesome video, and a neat new Traeger. But $3,800 is insanity.
Speaking the truth..thanks for your honesty!
Here we go the smart grill area, pretty sweet grill there.
Were you saying that the Meater probes don't show ambient temperature or that the app doesn't show remaining cook time?
Hit the nail on the head. A bit spendy. But amen Traeger, finally added some of the features folks want, and will keep them competing with all the others on the market. About time to see the Meater integration too!
Great video! I would imagine that Traeger will come out with something less featured up to get the $4K price down. Personally I don't need an induction cook top, and could live without the Meater probes. This is the pellet grill Weber SHOULD have brought to market!

Great vid as always, absolute bbq envy over here now 🤘
Great content! Love the channel. If you ever need to off load an old Traeger my backyard is free and can use one. Lol
😉😜
Great review my guy but I gotta stick with my Recteq.
The smoker/grill I like is the one I can afford. I have to save up for this grill, so I can afford it someday.
Is it work it to upgrade from the ironwood 885 to the timberline?
What is the dimensions of the box unopened?
Having already owned 6 Traeger's it maybe time to up grade.
Great vid. I dont have 3 large sitting around, but would love to have one.
Costco has a Louisiana grill for $1,000 I think it is a much better value. Plus it can actually grill.
