Good grief! That lobster looks so incredible. Grew up in Pacific Northwest, Washington State. Love good seafood. Loving that treager grill too. Surf n Turf….great job Matt. Once again you killed it.
I’m in Arizona now…Phoenix since 1994. But still have the webbed toes….lol grew up in several places in grays harbor county. Elma, McCleary, Aberdeen, Porter…
So glad you included seafood in this video Matt! That lobster tail looked so good, steak too. Nice sense of humor went along well with this video. Keep on doing what your doing man!!
“More fun than prom night” - too funny! Great cook! Grilling season is in high gear in Texas and I was hoping to find a good lobster tail cook. Hard to beat a surf n turf night with friends. Another twist on use of compound butter: let your steak rest in a melted compound butter bath then sear that buttery flavor in. Keeps the crust from the sear good and crisp! Thanks for the video!
Ok. Watched all you guys use the new Traeger. Obviously they gave all of the cooking guys a free one. I watched 4 of you guys and that MONSTER lobster tail put you over the top. As always. Whoever's idea that was deserves props.
Sayy you make me proud to be a “Texan” in your words… “I an’t mad at that!” Good stuff… can’t wait to see you put a big brisket on that beautiful grill…
what a grill, wow. and I'm not sure you could have picked a better first cook to demo it. Bravo. I have a breville control freak induction cooktop that I couldn't live without, but that traeger combo looks INSANE! Great job dude
Meat looks delicious. Nice to see some innovation from Traeger. I think LoneStarGrillz really gave that market a kick in the ass the way they designed their pellet grill, so that would probably be my preference, but I've got my eye on one of their large insulated cabinets as you can run it with a FireBoard or something the same way you would a pellet grill but with the flavor of charcoal and wood instead.
This looks SO good. Relocating to Denver this summer, will order this new Traeger as soon as the move process starts so it arrives shortly after we get to the new place.
Just brought the Pro 780, got it home hooked it up started going through the set up steps to load the auger and couldn't load auger because the select knob wouldn't work. Brand new setting on my porch 10 minutes and already had to face time Treager and order a whole new panel to replace the new panel that came with it. Going to take a week to get the new panel. Kinda of upsetting. Found out though if you bump the knob with the ball of my fist it will select so I got my seasoning step done, and now have a big ol sweaty butt setting on it. The 780 needs super smoke mode or just smoke mode. It holds temp great, just waiting on my new parts. Have to run a smoke tube for smoke.
I've recently read reviews about the Traeger Wireless Meat Probes. Many users have reported frequent connection issues as well as significant calibration inconsistencies. Since I love the idea of a totally wireless thermometer, I'm intrigued by the technology but I'm a reluctant because of the negative reviews. I'm curious as to how long you've used this device and how well it has performed.
If I'm paying $4,000 for a smoker, it damn sure ain't gonna be a pellet, as much as I love my Pit Boss. I can get a custom built offset for that price. A Yoder YS1500 is about $500 more, but it's built like a tank, not some Chinese Traeger. They are wild for selling this at that price. No wonder they're giving them away to every TH-camr.
That looks like absolute money! I will be making this in the very near future. To bad I can't source monster Lobster Tail like that. Never even seen one that big.
That ending, " oddly satisfying, more fun than my prom night". hahahaha.... that is one massive lobster. they hooked you up Matt. That Timberline is a sexy beast.
Ive got a meater+ probe and ive been disappointed with their range over bluetooth--it won't even stay connected if I walk halfway through my house. they say they work thru wifi also, but thats only if you leave a burner phone nearby for it to bluetooth connect to, and have that burner phone connected to wifi which will let you access the meater probe over wifi. I don't know about you, but I don't have extra phones around the house to dedicate to a thermometer probe.. Do these included wireless meater probes connect via wifi out of the box since they connect through the treager app?
I agree. I had the Meater 4 probe set and ended up throwing it in the trash. Inaccurate and unreliable. Still looking for the holy grail of wireless probes.
I love all the videos. Great cooks. Love the ODK (Outdoor Kitchen). Does smoking seafood(shell or fish) leave oils(seasoning) in the smoker, where transfer is a concern?
When you start your restaurant, make sure to fly me out to taste test. My credentials are impeccable - I'm a self-proclaimed expert on what I like to eat!
How did you get a drip tray liner? I can't find one on their website or anywhere but you clearly have one in this video? Did you take a different liner and just custom cut a hole??
I do love your videos. I also use a lot of your ideas about cooking, but dang I get better results from my offset smoker. It didn't cost but $1000 to build.. plus it's made in the USA...
Out of curiosity - does anyone know if there is a Meater setup where you can view cook progress from anywhere that doesn't require the Timberline? The four-spike block I have requires you essentially to be right next to the grill, which isn't very helpful for me whatsoever.
Been cooking a lot of lobster tails over the last 3 years on my pellet grill, actually doing 4 smaller ones on it this afternoon. Never saw a video from you doing them Matt, watched a lot from others who do them very similar including the butter basting, but I've been using the Meat Church Honey Hog on them & they always turn out fantastic, wife says I've ruined lobster at seafood restaurants for her. But now, seeing you use the Holy Voodoo & Seafood Seasoning, I'm really curious to try it. That steak looks magnificent!
Loved the "Scalpel!!" surgeon command and the scalpel comes in off camera. So fun!
That’s the best food combo ever! Great video, thanks
Good grief! That lobster looks so incredible. Grew up in Pacific Northwest, Washington State. Love good seafood. Loving that treager grill too. Surf n Turf….great job Matt. Once again you killed it.
Nice to see a fellow Washingtonian!! Cheers from Seattle
I’m in Arizona now…Phoenix since 1994. But still have the webbed toes….lol grew up in several places in grays harbor county. Elma, McCleary, Aberdeen, Porter…
I grew up in Mercer Island, right off of Bellevue and Seattle right in Lake Washington!
So glad you included seafood in this video Matt! That lobster tail looked so good, steak too. Nice sense of humor went along well with this video. Keep on doing what your doing man!!
Wow !! Amazing. My mouth was watering throughout the whole video
Lets Go!!! Just ordered my Timberline XL
Amazing cook and that Timberline looks AWESOME!
That was one awesome cook !!! Grill looks awesome also.
I agree
Thankyou for your channel! I look like a champ with my family, much appreciated sir.

Steak and Lobster is my favorite meal to cook. I'm ready to try the MC seafood rub next time.
Best vid !! That's my birthday meal right there.
Ok. Watched all you guys use the new Traeger. Obviously they gave all of the cooking guys a free one. I watched 4 of you guys and that MONSTER lobster tail put you over the top. As always. Whoever's idea that was deserves props.
I love lobster. Had to do it!
Sayy you make me proud to be a “Texan” in your words… “I an’t mad at that!” Good stuff… can’t wait to see you put a big brisket on that beautiful grill…
Great video! I also love lobster being from Maine!
Wish I had the money to follow some of your recipes keep up the good work
I'm salivating over here !!
Praise be to Meat Jesus in the name of all things sacred and holy.
Man this is a hit! Steak and lobster .sign me up.
what a grill, wow. and I'm not sure you could have picked a better first cook to demo it. Bravo. I have a breville control freak induction cooktop that I couldn't live without, but that traeger combo looks INSANE! Great job dude
THATS HOW I LIKE MY STEAK TENDER BUT DONE AND THE LOBSTER LOOKED AMAZING 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Got my first look at the Timberline yesterday and I gotta have one. Thanks Father Matt🙌🏻
Great feedback & insight. Thanks!
Meat looks delicious.

Thoughts? 4k for a grill seems ridiculous to me, but it's a great looking/functioning grill
Chuckling on how you used the hanf without the glove for the Lobster more. Heehee! Love your content.

That looks a beautiful lobster and steak meal. Perfect meal right there. Looks delicious!! Send me a plate. 😂😂
Man, that Timberline XL is awesome, but nearly $4K is hard to swallow.
I agree 1000%
Matt your making me hungry love your videos.
"I'm not here to help you lose weight, I'm here to help you enjoy life." Amen brotha... Amen.

I love your seasonings bro. There a staple in my cook prep.
Thank you!
@@MeatChurchBBQ no thank you. You’ve raised my smoke game up a few levels. I have people making requests it’s unreal.
Hell yeah 🍻🍻🥩🥃🥃, that ending was pretty funny 😆 😄 🤣 🍻
Birthday meal dreams right there!
Im a Rec teq man myself, but, that is a nice looking traeger. Definitely doing lobster for my next cook!
Man that lobster is HUGE and looks amazing!!
New favorite meal, love the comb turf and surf, I just bought that grill without the side heater, save me 1700 dollars

Agreed, I have a traeger but it's Chinese junk. Saving for an offset
I would NOT be mad at THAT. More fun than my prom night he says.
😂😂😂
That is a Texas Sized Feast for a King Matt! Traeger hit a home run with you as a brand ambassador.
It’s looking great.
Man!!! That looks great. Love the grill and love me a good surf and turf. Definitely going to have to try out this recipe.
So good!
You and Sam the cooking guy are pretty close on firsts. He did a porterhouse. That grill is insane.
Traeger has really improved their products.
OMG that lobster is epic! That was one helluva cook and that new Traeger is pretty damn fine as well
Great cook! Nice grill, can’t beat rib eye and lobster tail!
Oh Lord… That butter dripping
That has got me hungry that looks amazing!
ROFLMAO!! “More fun than my prom night”!!! Ya Killin meee!! 😁👍👍
That looks like absolute money! I will be making this in the very near future. To bad I can't source monster Lobster Tail like that. Never even seen one that big.
That steak looked cooked! well done. Nothing but white in the middle.
Love your vids, but will you please do a video tour of your outdoor kitchen area?
I have done 2 lobster tails that size and 3 huge Ribeyes that were 2 and a half thick on a grill for me and my wife's 20th anniversary .
Great video. Looks like I need to upgrade my Traeger. Thanks.
I 1000% agree 😂

What type of pellets were you using for this cook?
I love all the videos. Great cooks. Love the ODK (Outdoor Kitchen). Does smoking seafood(shell or fish) leave oils(seasoning) in the smoker, where transfer is a concern?
Hey Matt!!^
For once in my 44 years on this earth, I have no words....
🥩 🦞
Saw your post on IG first then ran straight to TH-cam! Lol!
Looking good. Surprised you didn't throw on some of that 2 step.
I cooked a lobster tail once the size of a Chinese spy balloon.
One word. "Damn" what a meal!
Love you Matt, and love supporting Texas and American companies. Ain't down with pushing Chinese products though.
I'll watch the next video.
Unreal dude!!
Just missing the Miller lol. Awesome cook!
When you start your restaurant, make sure to fly me out to taste test. My credentials are impeccable - I'm a self-proclaimed expert on what I like to eat!
Lawdhammercy…the prom night comment got me. 😂
Texas: Everything is bigger in Texas...
Alaska: That's cute, here little boy hold my beer
Only 1000$ difference between this and a mill scale 94. Too many choices. Definitely a bucket list dinner though…. Surf and turf Meat church style!
I ate dinner an hour ago and now I want to eat again. Well,...surf and turf,..but -- looks amazing.
Looks so good!!! God bless!!!
Get Tragger to bring back the Meat Church Pellets!!
This looks good brother
I have never seen a lobster tail that big...Thanks for the video Matt...
Me either!
Hey Matt! What’s your preference for pellets when cooking seafood? Thank you.
You have the luckiest dog in all of Texas.
How did you get a drip tray liner? I can't find one on their website or anywhere but you clearly have one in this video? Did you take a different liner and just custom cut a hole??
I ad those from the beta days. They learned foil works fine, so they are not sold anymore.
That looks really good. When you up grade that timberline Traeger I’ll take it.My pit boss no good. You can’t say I didn’t try
Nice vid matt. Hey question. When u are using the meater probe. Is the smoker temp controlled via the ambient sensor on the temp probe?
Awesome grill!
I do love your videos. I also use a lot of your ideas about cooking, but dang I get better results from my offset smoker. It didn't cost but $1000 to build.. plus it's made in the USA...
Is it not possible to direct grill over flame with this unit? That might be the one knock I have on this in comparison to Yoder pellet grills.
What up Matt! Met you at the BBQ Class in Lockhart at the Caroline. Great video. Food looks amazing 👏🏽 😋
Hey Ron!!! Hope you are well sir!
Out of curiosity - does anyone know if there is a Meater setup where you can view cook progress from anywhere that doesn't require the Timberline? The four-spike block I have requires you essentially to be right next to the grill, which isn't very helpful for me whatsoever.
What knives are you using?
Matt Pittman for president 🙌
Dayummm, looks delicious!
Sam put up an XL video yesterday too
For the low price of only 3,700 dollars you can have a induction cooktop and touch screen on your grill.
How to BBQ right beat you to it!!!!
Awesome job thank you
Dying to try and cook a lobster
My boy Jared! Been best friends with him since I was 8 years old!
Been cooking a lot of lobster tails over the last 3 years on my pellet grill, actually doing 4 smaller ones on it this afternoon. I need to try that as well.
