  • Riding the Transamerican Trail (TAT) on a ktm 890 adventure R. The hard section got pretty steep and rough. Riding in the mud and rocks became very challenging. This is the adventure I signed up for.

I live super close to Hot Springs NC, love it here, some of the best riding in the country is in this area!! That 209 out of Hot Springs is my favorite “Go to” ride when I just need my helmet time!!!

Shhhhhh. Don't let everyone in on that bud. 209 is FAR better than the Blue Ridge, Better than the Tail of the Dragon. Of course, I did those rides on two wheels with just the power of the legs. No motor. Specialized Roubaix Elite.

That muddy road was intense. You are either blessed with bravado or foolish abandonment or both; perfect mix for an adventure biker aficionado. Bravo Brock

Very nice riding on that muddy steep section, and that tight u-turn on the trail was pretty impressive too. Respect 👊🏼

@@MotoMission. were you running the Motoz tractionator GPS tires? I've run the heidenau k60's in the past on a long-distance ride and I like them for the mileage and I thought they did okay off-road also. They look a lot like the tractionator GPS

I did have a gps on rear for a while. Did ok most of the time. But I needed more aggressive tread. Moved to the motoz rallz and I am super glad I did.

I am just learning about the TransAmerica trail. The one thing no one is mentioning, or covering is where on earth are y'all getting gas from? Is it set up to be close to gas stations along the way? I would be very concerned I would run out of gas. But nobody seems concerned about it or worried that that would be an issue enough to have talked about it. And I see many people doing it. I also have questions about the road. On some people's videos through Colorado it is like a single trail that barely allows for a motorcycle. Is there an alternative trail as well for 4 x 4's?

Gas stations are hard to find. The sections stop at towns w gas. But sometimes we could not find gas. Had to go seek gas a few times.
      Never pass a gas station
The trails can be tough in some places. Some jeep trails become very tight and make it impossible to pass someone. But for the most part you can expect dirty and gravel trails with mud sand and rocks.

Are there GPX files for the ride from Candor NC to Statesville NC to Bakersville? (0:50) I live in Charlotte and would love to do that ride this weekend if possible.
