the Vikings were not English. just google where did the Vikings come from. it's still disputed who was first, which is why I listed both in my reply. Not everyone who lives in what we now know as the United States was British. for example, France and Spain had control of huge swathes of land in the north American continent. the original 13 colonies fought the revolution to gain independence from Britain. They were British until the US was founded.
