brilliant. wouldnt be wise to put some plastic/ruber protection on the tips of the screws just to avoid scratching the wheel?

Thanks for the comment and subscription (hint hint)! You could probably screw on a presta valve cap. However, I don't "true by touch" except in videos because prominent waves and hops are easily spotted without the indicator arms close to the rim. Enjoy your day!

Or use the rounded end of the bolt to the wheel... Still metal on metal, but no sharp edges.
