    1. Bring up topics that you are interested in
    2. Ask questions that you are really interested in
    3. shift to something else

    I've learned to do this for the most part, I care less what ppl think but it's not that I don't care to get to know them or about what they're saying..I've got poor working memory along with auditory processing disorder and eventually accepted that some ppl may find me a bit annoying when I ask them to repeat themselves however at least I'm taking in more of what they're saying and can actually participate and not end up blending into the background wanting to hide..

    I have had engaged in several conversations where people talked about what interests 'me'. But I always thought that the things interested me was 'minute' topics. So I always let my self flow with the 'important' topics, tryna 'fitin' to that group. But now I know what to do

    Hi Aziz. At first what you're saying in this video appears to be opposite of what Dale Carnegie talks about. But then from a different angle it does look an improved version of what Dale Carnegie's message is. What he talks about is that we should be only talking about others when we are with them and some how creates an interest in their life. And what you are saying is that we should still be talking about them but focusing on the topics that excite us at the same time. How do you see your message in comparison with Dale Carnegie?

    another great epesode aziz. your tips are life changing;;
    but what if another person wants to talk about his interest;;
    as the saying goes "IF YOU WANT SOMETHING TO BE DONE FROM SOMEONE THAN TALK ABOUT HIS INTEREST"
    what are your views on it.

    • @GetMoreConfidence
      @GetMoreConfidence  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mihir Dwivedi Great question Mihir.
      It is incredibly valuable to be able to also talk about what other people are interested in. Being able to become fascinated by their interest, ask questions, and get curious can create great conversations (and great connections).
      It's also important to talk about what you want to talk about too : )

    I like to talk about history, but I don't think its compatible with everyone since not everyone knows history. My mom starts running away from me when I start talking about it haha. Now I am afraid to talk to others about this subject. They will think that I am some kind of a weird nerd.

    Horrible

    • @GetMoreConfidence

      How so?

    • @GEECHIE_LYFE_SPORTZ_TAWK
      @GEECHIE_LYFE_SPORTZ_TAWK 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Because if a person responds to what himself only cares about then the other person will understand that their specific question or statement hasn't been directly responded to... And that says that your not really with me on the specific topic at hand... I said horrible because ppl would easily catch on to that.
