I was a nineteen-year-old yupster when Boston’s debut album hit the shelves in 1976, the year of the American Bicentennial. Two years later, along comes their second album “Don’t Look Back” and the title track. Great rock classic, and Sib Hashian is smiling down from heaven and so is Bradley Delp. I hope Tom Scholz, Barry Goudreau, and Fran Sheehan had a chance to scope out Sina and her magnificent cover. There should be a special Grammy set aside for Sina. She even does jazz, and does it good. Have a look of her sitting in on “That Old Devil Moon”. During the 1970s, Boston was riding high on the charts with Bad Company, the Doobie Brothers, Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Peter Frampton, Foreigner, Grateful Dead, Heart, Led Zeppelin, Rod Stewart, Humble Pie, and lots of others that I can’t name at the moment. I’m glad that Sina has a deep musical appreciation for the rock artists of yesteryear. This video proves it.
Okay some comments are pathetic, but Sina is a professional drummer she's a musician she can play anything just like it's recorded she's a prodigy!!! She kicks assss!!!!
I'm not a drummer. I'm not even a musician. I love music, and I'm a huge Boston fan. I remember exactly where I was when I heard this song for the first time. I have gained a new appreciation for the art form of being a drummer. Thank you Sina for that.

Nostalgia got me since yesterday. Yes, this is a long song, but songs became longer with the new CD-format. And the sounds are so 80’s, sounds like Jump by V.H. here and there. The funny thing though is that this song came actually out two years before the 80’s and four years before the first CD.😊 Anyway, it’s easy to watch this video the whole 6 minutes because of Sina’s impeccable playing. She nails it as they say. It is perfect!!

Hi Sina...your Boston covers are by far the best out there. Spot on! When in my car...I now listen to your version of all my favorite classics. They sound much crisper with your drum track. Truly amazing...keep up the great work. RIP...Brad Delp

My God. I come back to this one every couple of weeks. Powerful performance on this one. Just as good as Sib in his early days with the band. Wow is appropriate.
SINA Doering does an amazing job on Boston’s Don’t look Back, I was SINA’S age when this album was released so I guess I just aged myself. SINA is an incredibly talented young lady and musician WOW 🥰👍👏🤟🙏
I am in my 50s' and learned to play in the late 70s', I learned on Boston and spent hours playing in my garage. I am from New Jersey, but married an Irish woman and came to Ireland 20 years ago leaving my drums. My kids are now grown and I have felt that I was really missing joy in my life, I am so happy I saw this video because it reminded me what it is!! I could play for hours by myself and love it!!! I going to look to get a small set and start playing again, I love your technique and you are excellent on the fills! I really want to thank you for these videos, they helped this guy find some real purpose and directed me back to the love I used to have playing!! Again Thanks!! Keep making videos you have a great future ahead!!!!
I simply cannot do what the song title says. I must "look back" at this classic drum cover time and time again. Your preparation, precision and commanding performance is absolutely praiseworthy! I'm not a musician and I've not experienced the exhilaration of being enraptured during a song. It's so obvious that you do. I'm sincerely envious. Notably, at 3:56 and 4:11 into the song, you are totally concentrating with your eyes closed and your countenance raised to actually feel and be a part of the music. It's as if you are playing for an audience of one and wanting to make a lasting impressing to the one to whom you are playing. You succeeded! Sina, you are truly gifted by God and it's so refreshing to see Him working through you and being a blessing to so many - including me!
Great, great and great again. Love Sina's symbal work. I remember her early videos, whenever she hit the one on her far right she looked in that direction. Not anymore. It comes so natural. A truly amazing talent.
Sina is so technical! All of her covers.. and I mean all of them, are exactly as they sound on the studio version release... AMAZING! Every fill on all of these covers is exactly! how the original drummer played it... not sure if people are realizing this!!! Super Fantastic!
I don't get some people. They see the accuracy of the cover as a negative, as in _she's just copying_ . Well yeah, that shows versatility when you can do that many different styles, that well. Those comments tend to come from drummers who think throwing in as many drum licks, stick twirls, and solos, as they can equals great drumming.
I never get tired of watching you play. You have the perfect amount of showmanship, talent and execution. You don’t over play anything and your love for playing definitely shows!
That was awesome. Sina. I grew up with Boston. They came out when I was high school. I'm 60 now. The years. Fly bye. Lock it in. Thanks young lady. Loved it ❤️💯👍👌
It is amazing to see someone so young deliver such incredible talent over such a huge range of music history. I love you Sina, and your contribution to the world of entertainment.
So fun to watch and listen to. The thing about Scholz is that he is so PRECISE. All his parts for all the singing and playing are perfectly formed like a precision watch. Maybe Sina has Swiss family... because she really takes to Boston drum parts... so accurate and perfectly engineered. When I toured Germany, Austria and Switzerland, we had a lot of Southern USA swing in our rock grooves that our German musician friends asked about but couldn't quite find. The ones that come live in Tennessee or Louisiana or even Virginia for a while and immerse themselves in the swing, return to Europe with something special. But when Sina plays Boston...it's already there.
I love you Sina....my neighbors hated me always played this at MAX....I love how her shirts ALWAYS meet her jeans at a level plane!!! Drumming keeps you fit obviously...
Sina, I am going to be 50 next time around. I am a lead singer first, a rhythm guitarist second and drums are a very distant third in my abilities. I've watched/listened to you for a while and have loved seeing your artistry flourish. I've left the commenting to others because I would only be repeating what they are mostly saying....until now. You bring joy to those who watch you play. That you are gifted is indisputable. You are a deserving and worthy torch - bearer for an era of music that will never be surpassed yet I am certain that you will both preserve and add to it before you are through. May your Journey be Any Way You Want It, may your Heart always be protected from the Barracudas of this world, may you be a Queen who continues to exhibit grace Under Pressure, and, may the Rush of performance always carry you in keeping the Spirit of AOR Radio alive and well, while never making you lose sight of the forest for The Trees. The comments on this thread are more active than on others I've seen. You seem to have hit a special nerve with your fans. They should all be this lively, you are are a rare talent and it is a treat that we get to watch you. Thank you young lady. If you ever come to AZ, I'd play alongside you in a heartbeat!
I'm so glad to see a young lady into real music you do a very good job on the drums keep rocking my friend your buddy ben brown from Cincinnati Ohio 👍 ♥️
Thank you for this! I have had every iteration of this album from 8 track all the way to MP3. The drum solo was always my favorite part of Don’t Look Back because every time I played it I cranked it up to 11. Seeing you do it on TH-cam makes my day. Normally I won’t comment on a video this old but I really enjoyed it and broke my rule for you. I hope you see it. ❤❤❤❤
It's almost 2019 - look forward, don't look back...but do look before you leap! THE SONG - "Don't Look Back" was written by Tom Scholz, the main songwriter and multi-instrumentalist of the rock band Boston. It's the title track of their second album 'Don't Look Back'. The song was recorded at Scholz's home studio in 1978 and both the album and single were released on Aug 2, 1978. The album version clocks in at 5:58 while the edited radio version is 4:05. "Don't Look Back", the single, entered the Billboard Hot 100 chart at #62 on Aug 19, 1978 and peaked at #4 on Oct 7, 1978. It was last charted at #95 on Nov 11, 1978 spending 13 weeks on the chart. The album 'Don't Look Back' reached #1 on the Billboard 200 album chart. The song is about moving forward without regret and embracing what lies ahead without wasting time. THE DRUMMERS - In the studio, Boston was mostly Tom Scholz playing almost all of the instruments and Brad Delp singing all the vocal parts. Scholz's original choice of drummer was Jim Masdea but the band's managers and record label insisted on a different drummer. Sib Hashian, also a fine drummer was recruited. In order to have a performing band, Barry Goudreau was brought in to play second guitar parts and Fran Sheehan was recruited for bass. For the recording of "Don't Look Back", Scholz has stated that Sheehan played only a few bass notes while Goudreau played the intro and outro solo guitar parts. Sib Hashian was required to copy Jim Masdea's original drum parts by following a transcription and Scholz stated that he made over 60 edits to Hashian's track in order to get the required performance. Hashian played with the band from 1976 to 1983. Masdea, who had to leave the band in 1976, returned from 1983 to 1988. There doesn't seem to be much information available for Sib Hashian. Jim Masdea got a second-hand drum set at the age of 13. By 16 he started playing in bands and not long after, he met Goudreau and Scholz. Apart from drumming, he's had a very varied career including running a bar / restaurant in China and operating a bakery. With the paucity of info on the two drummers, there wasn't much for Rosanna and Sina to discuss but they agreed that both were relatively uncomplicated straight-ahead rock drummers that suited the band perfectly. Sina admits to being a fan of Boston - "It's not really a 'drummers'-band', but the whole package is just perfect!!" Regarding her cover performance, "I listened to the album 'Don't Look Back' a lot, so I know most of the fills. I didn't really learn this song before recording it, I just did what I remembered and added some little things of my own towards the end." This is Sina's fourth Boston cover. Check through her old videos for "More Than A Feeling", "Smokin'", and "Cool The Engines". An interesting fact for the last song is that Scholz created the drum track by recording segments with drum machine and physically splicing sections of the tape. In covering the song, Sina replaced that drum machine with a real drummer. Score one for the humans! This is Sina's last video of the year and my last comment of 2018. Have a great weekend guys and see you next year!
A little complement...Sib Hashian died on March 22, 2017, at the age of 67, after collapsing in the middle of a set while performing on board a cruise ship

God it’s so good to see someone appreciate music from before the time they were born. This girl is incredible. I got to go backstage at a Boston concert when I lived in LA. The only time in my life I’ve gotten to go backstage for a concert like that. I can just say they were phenomenal. One of my favorite bands ever. The whole story behind Boston is just magic and I think an incredible amount of creativity and talent.🎵
Good girl gone philosophic! Look back, proud of what you have accomplished so far. And look forward, the best is yet to come. In fact, we wish each of your years be better and better, with the best always a little bit in the future. Gosh, I don't wanna get too philosophic either... Happy New Year, to you and your family!
Boston is my all time favorite band. I have listened to their songs thousands of times. Sina, you absolutely NAILED this song. I am stunned by your performance. Likewise on Foreplay/Longtime. I cant stop watching you over and over. You are truly gifted. Would love to see you do Hitch a Ride and Peace of Mind.
you know, two Heroes showing with play these drums. I'll tell you what. This young lady was blessed. I've washed TH-cam videos on drummers 4 years. I've been around drums for years and just see somebody at 14 years old no the songs that she does and as many as she does she's gifted. And anyone that gives her a thumbs down on any of her videos you are freaking blind. And not only blind you're tone deaf. She's hitting every single know everything she's banging these songs not like they make a key there hers. But she's literally in the band. And for anyone to give her a thumbs down or any kind of snide remark or being a smart-ass excuse my French. Towards her you need some mental help. The sea there's one word the sums up the thumbs down and the smart remarks. It's called jealousy. This girl plays better the most adults that I have seen their been around. Keep up the good work you are freaking awesome

One more time here. Watched this video a dozen times now and I must say, the past three times I put it on my 10 ft HD Theater screen in order to watch your fundamentals and entertainment gusto very closely. Your drumming fundamentals are seriously top notch with the best professionals. On this one, your entertainment gusto (how much you got into playing the song) was also professional quality (very important). I am at the point of making a donation to your efforts. I believe I am convinced. Since I travel frequently, I might attend one of your local German gigs. We need more of you in the music business...….real music that is.
Long time fan and supporter of Sina here. *Sina is absolutely something very special!* You must watch all of material from the start to see where she has come from to where she is now. An epic ride! So happy to see the younger generation appreciate good old rock music.
No words, perfect... This girl rocks. Amazing.
30 Year Studio Engineer, You are extremely talented. Amazing watching you play, Thank you so much and Wish you the world.
The world still has a chance with young people smashing drums to Boston, what a perfect set!!!!
I'm so glad to see a young lady into real music you do a very good job on the drums keep rocking my friend your buddy ben brown from Cincinnati Ohio 👍 ♥️
You continue to amaze. Great job on a great song
Great song. Nicely done. My goodness, those vocal harmonies.... I never get tired of hearing this.
Sina God has Blessed You With Such A Gift in life keep going it's so inertaining to watch
I'm not a musician but that's one of my favorite songs... you play it perfectly...great work!
I didn't really learn this song before recording it, I just did what I remembered and added some little things of my own towards the end."
This is Sina's fourth Boston cover.
Have a great weekend guys and see you next year!
thanks, for the info., you always give good info. on the songs, giving insight of the songs, Sina did great on the other songs also.
Thanks so much Juliet and Rosanna for all your amazing write-ups all through the year!!
Tom is a graduate from MIT he did all the instramenatals and vocals on his own. Tom very talented but cant be copied!
A little complement...Sib Hashian died on March 22, 2017, at the age of 67, after collapsing in the middle of a set while performing on board a cruise ship
Your behind the scenes informational write ups have become an important part of sinas covers ! Thanks and have a great new years ! We look forward to your insite on future covers .
My favorite Boston song! Love it!
Boston's late drummer would be proud.👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
i wish i still had a drum set...im 56 and could learn so much watching you dump awesome sauce all over these songs
You've gotta love her choice. Great musical taste to match your drumming prowess dear.
You are amazingly great! I loved this; your talent and work are off the charts superlative!!!!!!!!!
Out of over 720k views, only 16k likes? I don't know what you people were listening to but if this phenomenal young lady isn't worthy of a simple thumbs up, who is?!
Watched it 4 times she never missed
Been following her for a couple years now. I'm a drummer, sort of, after watching this blossoming young lady
The whole story behind Boston is just magic and I think an incredible amount of creativity and talent.🎵
just found sina, this girl is so awesome, ive listened to this song 100s of times and this was is perfect,so talented
Keep up the good work you are freaking awesome
that crescendo there at 3:10 is just marvelous
Boston is true classic rock n roll and you did this song such great justice with your awesome skills. Thanks for bringing back such good memories from my early days.
I'm liking this pronounced drum version more than the original.
Sina you're incredible... I love you ❤️ more 💕
Sib Hasian was a drumming legend. This sounds just as amazing.
He was NOT a legend. Stop just making shit up to try and sound cool.
@@spaceghost8995 you're so funny. Try explaining your hot take on any Boston classic rock station and see how that goes for you. until then STFU. have a great day and thanks for the laugh.
Good job young lady 🎵🎶🥁👍 this was my Senior Class Theme song brings back many awesome memories thanks 🙏
I'M A REALLY OLD MUSICIAN, BUT THIS MAKES MY HEART YOUNG AGAIN.
Few and far between, are the times when I find myself actually applauding at the computer sceen. This is was one... bravo!
Sib would b proud of that cover !! Loved that one.
She has been blessed with music in her heart and soul! Highly recommend checking out her patreon acct.
@@Steve_J_ And boy has she exploded in the past few months while attending ArtEz in the Netherlands! Steve are you still following Sina? Ian Paice has issued an invitation to do a project, and Lava Records has signed her for a project... so phenomenal watching her shine👍Fan From Florida 🌴
Oh my God, good job, Boston are one of my favorites and this song it's my favorite, you play awesome !!
Sina and other similar young musicians like her ARE PROOF that eventually the music of the 21st Century will get better. . . and IMHO surpass and in a positive way BLOW AWAY music from the 20th Century. . .
Close my eyes and I'm back in the 70s I think I was 16, living in mass. When Boston just came out good times
This girl rocks! Best taste in music ever! You go girl! New subbed!
That was awesome! You rock Sina!
Ahhh....Sina, one of my favorites by Boston also. You are going back to a time (1978) when real Rock & Roll was being played. Love the drums on the song. Especially the bass drum. You definitely did it justice. Good job. Loved it.
Long time Sina fan.seen this vidio before, but loved Boston and love to watch this german girl drum.Sinas a pro,and one of a kind.Gods speed Sina.l.y
IDK why this is taking years to get one million views. This is one of the great classic rock songs and Sina is just superb.

This young Lady is amazing as a young Talented Female Drummer. She Rock's and has passion in her Drumming!
Smooth and confident. You're a talented young musician. Never quit
Oh how I love a trip back to the 70's!! I remember when this album was released and me going to the record store to buy it! Not long after, I got to see Boston live for the first time. What an amazing concert that was!! Great song to end the year with Sina!! Well done and I loved it!! Happy New Year to all!!
As a new listener to Sina all I can say is, FANTASTIC! I love it and will continue watching and listening.
And now she can play electric bass
too. There's no limits to what this young woman can accomplish
Wow to see a youngster play like sib these days is unreal talent, I was 7 when I heard more than a feeling in 1976 and Boston is still my. Fav band of all time, it was something that grabbed me , she's got it too, greatest underated band of all time, rip tom, brad, and sib.
I scored this 10.00 on a 1 to 10 scale
The people who gave this a thumbs down must have been East German judges. I also awarded Sina extra style points for the Tshirt/slogan which absolutely would have DQ'ed her at an Olympic figure skating competition 😊❤👍🥁
P.S. I am a hobbyist-guitarist not a drummer but I love watching Sina and Yoyoka videos. They're just fantastic
