The jet you are Refering is the F-4 Phantom that Blitzwing transform to. The reason why Hasbro didn't make Blitzwing into a F-4 Phantom in toy form is due to a Copyright to the Lockheed company. Something about the Copyright cost too much to get the Rights. So, they decide to make a Alternative version for Blitzwing.
I’m not sure which Slingshot you’re referring to, but as a jet nerd, I wanted to let you know that Blitzwing is an F4 Phantom in the movie, while Slingshot and Shatter are AV-8B Harrier Jump Jets. My point is they’re actually different planes.
The feeling you have for this figure is how I feel with SS 07 Starscream. I also saw one of these in my local nerd shop for 20 bucks and I keep kicking myself for not picking it up.

I found this guy at Walmart, but someone decided to get into the box and remove his head and arms. It was on clearance for $20 as well, so that was rlly sad
When I found this I did a double take and ran through the Target over to my step mom and got it and I'm custom painting it to make it look movie accurate Then today at walmart there were like 5 of em
I live in the states and his literally at every store I've gone to since he's been released and there's at least like 4 of him along side Studio Series BB Starscream

The gas mask face is just the cherry on top. Just like actual pilots have. I hope they never change this mold/design
