fun fact : in the mushroom kingdom in SMO theirs a tree with a tail referencing super mario 3d land you can see the tree in the many cutscenes in that game

Yeah Bob-omb Battlefield, SMB 1-1, Mushroom Kingdom, and Honehive Galaxy (I guess that counts) I really like, and the others are good choices too! Honestly can't think of just one grass level from the NSMB series to feature, but I do really like SMB3 1-1 as there's more to do than you first think and it's kinda iconic. Also the remake in NSMB2 is great and has so many secrets. Bianco Hills seems fun but I haven't played too much of Sunshine to put it in my list. Donut Plains 1 is really cool and deceptively difficult compared to the rest of Donut Plains. There's so many annoying Superman Koopas and different Chucks in the level. Fossil Falls I'd include if it counts; it's kinda grass but also kinda mountain and kinda river... SO yeah, there's some good grass Mario levels out there, even the simple ones can be quite fun! (great example is the NSMBU/NSLU Acorn Plains levels)
