King Bill was firstly introduced in NSMB.Wii. They first appear in 9-8 and are 50 times the players size. They just have a smile, can smash through stone and could not be defeated until U by using a power-up utilizing the game pad.

You could technically defeat it by grabbing the flag pole with one screen.
You missed a bullet bill type, in super Mario bros 3 there are a few bulle bills that flash red and when they pass Mario they will turn around. They are not bullseye bills, because they don’t directly target Mario like how the smm ones do. They also can only turn around once, and can’t just camp the player out. They can only move horosontally though

Don't forget Mario 3 also had Bullet Bills that can turn about face in a straight line, too.
Super Mario Bros. 3 actually had the first homing version of Bullet Bill. They were called Missile Bill/Bullseye Bill. Though they only tracked once, then went on their way.
They only tracked along the horizontal. They'd turn around once and only appeared in 8-1.
Missile Bills first appear in World 4-5 of Super Mario Bros. 3. The only relief you get is a hidden Tanooki suit.
In Mario and Sonic at the winter Olympic games, you actually face off with a bullet bill in the bobsled race. I was very surprised when I first saw it.
Here I thought I was the only one who remembered that. That game was my childhood
Not only did yoshi’s island have green bullet bills and red homing bills, but a yellow ricochet bill! They were colored like stop lights to imply how hard each one was to avoid, and the more advanced the bill, the more deranged it’s expression. The green ones were standard, the yellow ones seemed delightfully insane, and the red ones snarled like rabid wolves when you jumped over and they started homing in. That’s some determination there!
I started calling them Missile Mike right after I saw them in the trailer. But Rocket Rick would be a cool name as well.

King Bill is just pure nightmare fuel. Since it has that puffy grin in its mouth because it knows that's it's an unstoppable force careening towards a single direction, and it's gleeful by the fact that there's nothing the player can do except avoid its path.
The Banzai Bills in the New and 3D games are actually 5 blocks long and 4 blocks tall, but in SMM2 all of them where squished down to only be 4x4.
King Bills were in New Super Mario Bros Wii first in the last World 9 level and Yoshi's Island has different colors then just green
Mario RPG is notable in that you never actually fight the Bullet Bills themselves. They served as obstacles in some overworld challenges where you had to avoid them, and some enemies would use them as projectiles. You could also fight the cannons. Some enemies, including the final boss, could also fire a golden Bullet Bill which would kill a character in one hit.
Impressive list! I've got another Bill to add to it, though: the Bouncing Bullet Bill (AKA the "Killer Three B's") from Yoshi's Island! While that game's regular Bullet Bills are green and launch from a green cannon fixed in place, there's also a yellow cannon that will point itself in Yoshi's direction and eventually launch a yellow Bill, firing it at whatever angle necessary to hit Yoshi's last location. You can dodge it easily, but it's called the Bouncing Bullet Bill for a reason: it can bounce off walls to ricochet back towards you! They aren't too fast, though, so you can do some bouncing of your own and leap off a well-aimed BBB to reach tricky platforms.

Nice addition of the Kirby enemy, I didn't know that and I love taking a mental note of the things exist in both Mario and Zelda for example or Mario and Kirby.

I loved those early mario & Luigi rpg games. They always added the wackiest enemies. Like a tanookie Goomba with a leaf on their head, and they could transform into the bros to attack.

With the way the new "Bullet Bills" are falling at a sharp angle, and the design of them, I think they're based on ground-to-ground mortars. Mortar Mikes, maybe?

The Bullet Bill at the end of the Mario Bros movie was a "Bomber Bill" not a Banzai Bill. It was a brand new even LARGER Bullet Bill, unique to the movie.

Oh my God i thank you for acknowledging the mario bros u game when you where talking about the bullet bills. Most people would talk about the Ported version of the delux game on the switch and not talk about the wii U game. Most people when they do these types of lists, they just straight up ignore the Wii U's existence.

The Olympic crossover games with Sonic have some bullet bill uses too, including a unique variant in at least the DS version of the Winter games in Canada that appears to have the same design as a Bonzai Bill but without the mouth and is literally just called "Big Bullet Bill"
Personally, I like to refer to the purple missiles from Wonder as "ICBM Ians"

It’s really interesting to see the omnipresence and importance of Bullet Bills throughout the franchise, thank you Nin10doland!
A few extra details:
- In Super Mario Odyssey, Bullet Bills flash red and then explode after a while. The same happens with Banzai Bills, but after an extended period of time.
- In Super Mario Maker 2, Banzai Bills are placed without a launcher; whereas regular Bullet Bills do not exist as an entity, but rather their launcher.
- Also in SMM2, the red Bullet Bill launcher will spit out any non-Bullet Bill item placed in them, with more power and speed than a regular one.
Even though they're colorful, the rockets in that Mario Wonder trailer look unusually "real" to me compared to the cutesy short and stubby bullet bills.
I think we will soon be seeing Hypersonic Missile Harry and ICBM Ivan

The homing Bullet Bill actually came from SMB3. Notice when you play the game how they change when you pass them... Does that count? Also, 12:19 we don't know that until wave 6 of the Booster Course Pass comes out.

technically the Bill at the end of the movie is referred to as a 'bomber bill' not a bonzai bill. the difference, I assume, being the massive size of it and the fact it explodes

BB and TT both have secondary names that are one syllable (bill, ted) so it makes sense that the rocket would be named rocket rob

I don't like how the Banzai Bills in the NSMBU theme of Super Mario Maker 2 aren't animated at all. They should be doing their barrel roll. Instead, they just look really flat.
In my school vr game, there are bullet bills, and 2 new verionts first are the morty mores, which are mortar type bullet bills and second is the Billy bomb which only encountered in Psycho space

Also, you missed a Bullet Bill. In Yoshi’s Island, there was a red Bullet Bill that would home-in on Yoshi. They went unused in the original, but were added to a new level in the GBA Remake, Yoshi’s Island: Super Mario Advance 3
It’s clear that the issue is not that Nintendo cannot make up their mind about what the bullet bills will do. They have clear and distinct move sets for 2d or 3d games.

Funny, when I was younger, i always called the King bills Omega Bills, because i didn't know their names. And in my opinion, it fits much better.
I know that it's not a mario game but in lego city undercover game (the wii u and switch versions) there is an bullet bill easter egg that's needed to find to 100% complete a game there is a smg style cage with an unlockable character and a canon that shoots a bullet bill I think that's a really cool Easter egg
