Found your channel last week and I'm enjoying your content very much. Thank you for making your honourable mention video! I have a couple more of your videos to watch, and not many channels mention authors like Olivia Manning, Primo Levi, etc. so I am looking forward to your down to earth, quality reviews. Thanks again for spending the time to create great content!
I just found your channel and I really like your taste in books! It also turns out we both started our booktube channels around the same time. I had The Hours on my tbr some months ago but didn’t get to it and you’re reminding me I should make time for it. I was also surprised by the tone of Dead Souls but I ended up enjoying the humor and the commentary. I’m very interested in A Passage to India and In the Castle of My Skin. Great video!
@karlalikestoread what a coincidence! Dead Souls was such a surprising book- I'm glad you enjoyed it too. I would definitely recommend giving The Hours a go- especially if you enjoy Viriginia Woolf 😍
@@Sarahsreadingjournal It took me two attempts to click with Mrs. Dalloway (my first Woolf fiction) but I ended up really loving it! I also got a copy of To the Lighthouse ☺ So yes!
@eriksoltvedt7552 ha ha, I know what you mean. I feel like I read this at the perfect time for me. Quite often I don't like satire, but something just clicked with this one!
While I recognize you've just started posting videos a couple months ago, I like that you're talking about these books even though you read them last year! I also make videos but haven't in almost a year for a few reasons. I didn't mean for that long to pass and I would like to get back to it, and throughout this year I've thought about still making 2023 wrap up videos but wonder if people would even watch with it being months later- even though I know it's all arbitrary! It's just books or whatever we happen to have read within a certain calendar year.
Love your segment on White Noise-- love everything from Don Dellilo. I've always wanted to read The Hours, nice to hear you found it powerful!
@doublemintvariety oh great- I have Mao II on my shelf so hoping I love it too! Would highly recommend The Hours, especially if you enjoy Woolf's work
Loved your discussion on A Passage to India. I would agree about the purpose of the book. Great discussion ☺️
@@MilenaReads thanks! Really enjoyed your reading vlog of A Passage to India and reminded me how much I enjoyed it 😁

Always oscillating between liking and disliking White Noise, depending on the current mood :) Maybe I
should re-read! 🌿

@BaileeWalsh yes, definitely still worth making! It's nice to have a record of what you've read and loved as well 😊
The Simone de Beauvoir book sounds so interesting that I paused your video and ordered it. Can't wait to read it!
@@marleneartigues oh yay, how exciting! I hope you love it 😀
