You look so excited talking about these books that it's making me super excited to get them and start reading!!!! Especially Im thinking of ending things!!!
Oh the book is called "Then She Was Gone" .....I kept typing in AND THEN ..... because that's how it's labeled above your link but I finally noticed and I just added it to my book app and can't wait to read it!!!
Thank you for posting, but let me remind you that books do not only have titles, they are written by writers, who deserve to have their names mentioned. Good recommendations!
I'm excited to see, I Let You Go. I actually have had it on my shelf for over a year. I picked it up at a library sale as a BOTM copy for .25. That's next on my list! Thank you!
I've read three of these, and totally agree on I Let You Go and Then She Was Gone (that one broke me!). Clare Mackintosh and Lisa Jewell are two of my favorite authors.
And it’s 4 am now. I think I know what the big twist will be, and I’m sure I know what happened with the phone. I’ll finish the book tomorrow and see if I’m right. Really gripping book.
I'm new to reading I'd say. I've read a lot of sherlock holmes novels and hardy boyz series during school tho. But recently read good girls guide to murder, chalk man and truly devious. Really loved them now. Now planning to read let you go. Thanks for the recs!!
These are great recommendations! I'm a huge Lisa Jewell fan, and I've read I Let You Go and I'm Thinking of Ending Things too and really enjoyed them. Definitely putting the last 3 books on my tbr!
Hi, congratulations for your reviews. I have always followed your advice. I was really struck by the beauty of "Motion Detection", a thriller book that I found by chance on Amz while looking for a new book. The cover intrigued me, it's an unusual book with a spectacular ending, I highly recommend it!
Great recs! I haven’t heard of the last couple, which is rare on booktube. The ones I recommend are The Broken Girls by Simone St James. I’ve read almost all her books, I loved Cold Cases, but Broken Girls hits a bit different, it’s such a satisfying mystery, I wish I could read it again for the first time. And The Nothing Man by Catherine Ryan Howard is the fastest I’ve ever physically read something, I had to keep going, the format is so great and unique and it hooks you right in. Hope you enjoy if you ever read those two!
Hey, actually i just started reading books at the start of august. Before i got bored easily when reading. But for some reason that switched and now i like it. Before i knew it, i already have 10 books, with 4 more coming that i have ordered online. Been wondering what had happened that got me so hyped up. 😅 Im also a fan of thriller/horror/mystery books so i’ll take into consideration the books you reviewed in this video. 😊
I just finished and then she was gone. It was fantastic. Thank you for telling me about it. Can you give me the author’s name of I let you go thank you. I’m low vision and I can’t see what you’re doing, but thank God for iPhones.
Going to the Library has been a mystery in and of itself. But no longer a thriller, sadly. Misprints, forgery competitions, and amazing curator battles get dull eventually. I have trouble finding paperback books that I can read - due to my poor reading skills. For example, I don't read Tom Clancy. Some of the old Steven King books are good.
Thanks! I generally rate them on my overall feeling of the book at the end. If it had me guessing and if there was intrigue to keep me turning the pages kind of thing.
I will preface this by saying, I think your reviews are great, but I wish you didn’t mention the complete twist at the end of I let you go. It’s a spoiler alert to a degree. That was the sort of thing that supposed to surprise and now i expect it, so I hesitate to read it now
That's fair to say and I get that. I was just mentioning it because it was something I hadn't seen before and when someone says something like that, I am even more drawn in because I want to try and figure it out when I read it. But I understand where you are coming from and will look into not revealing too much in the future and finding another way to express my excitement.
I'm always looking for a really good read and co workers mention stuff but I'm always kind of disappointed. I just ordered the first one. Hope it scares me with twists and unexpected outcomes. Thanks
What about kate white books? I’ve been reading her novels. She’s good mystery author. Keeps you guessing. I tried a different mystery author too; carter wilson . He is a good thriller writer too. Read the book the new neighbor
Thank you for this vlog review! You deserve more viewership for this particular review. I'll even share it on my Twitter account and will let everyone know you're a young and cute book reader. LOL! Considering that I'm an unpublished author, who writes about stalkers, serial killers, and deranged characters in general it's refreshing to watch a TH-cam vlogger, who doesn't act like an airhead explaining about Horror, Thriller, and Crime Fiction. Trust me, I tried watching 3 female vloggers about similar topics and it was painful. ROTFL! BTW: Do you know the other book publishers' names for the other books you reviewed in this vlog?
@BreakevenBooks thank you I has my wattpad hacked I lost 5 books, so I used my friends now, I kind of wished they were on back up lol because I kind of miss one of them 😂

I'm sorry you felt that way about it! I read this book about 10 years ago for a bookclub and it really stuck with me which is why I put it on my list. I'm sure there are better ones out there and I am always reading more thrillers to find some but everyone has their own taste when it comes to books. Do you have any recommendations for me of ones you really enjoyed?
I'm holding my hand over the corner of the book and most of the names you can see pretty well but I went ahead and added all the links to the books in the description so you can find out more about them there if you would like to 🙂
I definitely didn't feel giddy after reading I let you go. Very sickening to read. Didn't make me want to pass it on for other women to read/experience.
@ I might also add that many thriller writers are not actually writers, they have no fire in them. They think they have a good story , they sort of flesh it out, do he bit of description, a bit of dialogue and so on and so forth but that’s not writing, there is no flame.
@jeanmarieboucherit7376 That I disagree with. That is your opinion but I would say that if you write something, you are a writer. Some person might read that same book and feel like there is a fire there. It all depends on the preference of the reader and what kind of style they enjoy out of the writing. Some thrillers are slow and methodical, and that works too as it's own style.
Dude, you’re doing vocal fry. I thought only women did that. Oh yeah Bill Clinton did it. Not being critical just giving you some feedback from a former radio station manager :-)

Skip Verity. It was bad. Silent patient was ok. But like the OP they are always mentioned.
@@Kjs_interests I agree about skipping Verity. It's like reading something from wattpad.
The Silent Patient's twist is so garbage imho.

I just finished reading the chestnut man which was my fist noir crime thriller book and I’m ready for more. These all sound intriguing

I *loved* The Book of Cold Cases!
I think you would love it!
does it count as a spoiler to tell someone to read a book because it will end differently than you would have thought had you not been told so?
I don't think so because you are not giving away context as to what the new direction is, just stating its different than you expected.
@Breakeven Books yeah, I guess so. worth exploring though, imo.
