My heart melts when you speak Spanish 💕 Nice Q&A, I love listening to you while I'm working. Glad to hear that baby Jackson is getting better from reflux issues ❤️
I watch every single video of yours! I’m expecting my first baby in July and I’ve been watching you before I even got pregnant. Your videos are so helpful! I love your approach to being a mom!
Dear Kayla, I'm from Bulgaria and since I found your channel, I never miss any. I am a mother of just one child and I think you are doing so great with everything. Jackson reminds me so much to my boy when he was a baby (now he is almost 5) and I was a real "ruin" because I didn't know how to help him with the colics and non sleeping. It was a tough period and now looking you, I admire you really. You are so real and not as much of the vloggers who share only the beautiful part of their life. So stay always so positive and be happy. Thanks for sharing so useful information and things to us. Hugs
I'm also a new mom, first time mom also. My son is 2.5 months old too! We just moved from Washington too Colorado and booooy is it stressful. Watching this makes me feel less crazy . Pls dont stop making videos 😀
I don't speak a second language at all so no judgement from me, but I wanted to let you know that if you did decide you wanted to teach your kids, the most common method for bilingual families is for one parent to exclusively (or almost exclusively, I'm sure no one is perfect) speak one language to the kids, and the other parent speaks the other. So you'd have to brush up on your Spanish a bit, but you wouldn't have to do a whole separate set of activities with them; just start speaking to them in Spanish instead of English. (I know "just" speaking to them in Spanish would be easier said than done, but I wanted you to be aware that it might not be as much extra work as you thought
My husband and I tried to conceive for 8 months. It was very bothersome to me. Insecurities came and self doubt was at its all time high. Am now a SAHM of an almost 3 month old beautiful baby boy. I guess it made me cherish the pregnancy and the baby more than it normally would, at least for me. I love watching all your videos. I feel like we’re going through all these, figuring out how baby boy’s growing up, together. Your channel is my me time. If that makes sense. 😂
Some of us are not on other social media. But following you through real life with the example, for good or ill, of how you all handle certain situations, organize your lives, adjust to major changes, is always a helpful lesson for us all. My father once told a friend to ask his parents about the ins & outs of buying a house. The friend told him that his parents had done everything wrong. My father said, "Bingo, then they can share with you everything NOT to do." Now my father was able to share with him that they may want to meet the neighbors ahead of time and get the house inspected or they want to be sure they have enough closets and electrical outlets, so he did not refuse to answer the question. We all get things right and wrong and sharing one another's journeys give us good ideas for traversing our own paths and sometimes we can share something from ours in event it's helpful to you all. We all learn.
Love your videos so much they have really helped me! I’m having my first baby in just a couple weeks and am so excited, scared, happy etc. all the emotions are so crazy. I love how real your videos are about your life as a mom❤️
Omg. I have so much anxiety about leaving my baby with a babysitter or at daycare, she’s only 8 weeks. I am taking a year off work because my anxiety isn’t going to allow me to leave her at daycare this small. 🙁
Oh wow I needed this. Thank you so much Kayla! New momma here. I enjoy routine and thrive on predictability so it was really nice to get the truth about letting go of those expectations and going with the flow. I’m happy I can go into motherhood mentally prepared!! THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU!
Mental health is sooo important. On the language note, I speak English and Vietnamese but my Vietnamese is pretty bad, so my husband will speak Vietnamese only, and I will speak English hopefully it works out haha. Also I like the q & a format 😊❤
Don't worry about the potty training yet because she is gonna regress most likely because of the new baby and changes in her life. My 3 year old is just starting to potty training and it's going a lot better than it would have 6 months ago
Omg I love this video, especially the part about TTC. I relate totally to your faith, we tried for 4 years for our baby and what I eventually realized was that it was God's plan not mine ❤
You are so beautiful inside and out. Your videos are like theraphy for me. I have a 15 month old and currently pregnant with baby#2. Baby #1 was so easy slept through the night when she was 2 MO old and I can't help but to feel anxious what bby #2 will be like. That's why watching videos of you dealing with Jackson helps me train my mind to expect the worse 🤣
Loved getting to know you more! I totally agree on your FTM advice about going with the flow and letting go of expectations! I used to obsess over routines and why things weren't working out... kids are on their own schedule! Keep up the good work mama!
Love your Q&As! You’re so open and honest I love it, and I do exactly what you said when watching these lol! I play it in the background, I did laundry while listening to this one 😂
I would HIGHLY recommend teaching them a language when they are young. Even if it's simple stuff. I understand how hard it can be, but it's Soo rewarding! English is my 4th language, my parents spoke different languages and they incorporated it early on. Eventually I learned English on my own and it was so much easier to do so because I already knew others. My husband on the other hand is half Hispanic, his dad spoke it but he never learned even though he took it in school. I think it's harder to learn when you're older rather than a child. Obviously do what you think is right. But from someone who saw both sides, I would suggest teaching young. It'll bring a rewarding future. Thank you for all you do!
I love your videos so much! I added you on Instagram and noticed you have the same birthday as me! I love how you don’t limit the real ness to motherhood. I’ll be a first time mom here in 2 months and your videos help so much! Thank you!!
Most of potty training is when the parent is ready because for the child it’s all a leaning process. I can understand for you this is a bad time being sleepless with a newborn. Potty training causes loss of sleep and is as stressful as the newborn sleepless period. Any recommendations of your baby refuses to sleep and then gets overtired beyond the sleep window. How do you fix that? Or if they fall asleep and the wake up 30 minutes later and can’t go back to sleep?
Thank you so much for these videos. I am learning so much! I'm 38 weeks pregnant first time mom to a girl and I'm trying to learn as much as I can! Btw you have two beautiful babies! I love hearing Riley when she talks ❤️
I seriously love your channel! I'll be a first time mom in april and watching all your videos and the advice and tips that you give have really helped me feel more at ease with what to expect with a baby because I still get really nervous about it 😬 lol
This is so cheesy but I love watching your videos... not only because they're amazing... but because my name is Kayla.. and I've always wanted to name my daughter Ryleigh (weird spelling, but I love it). When I met my husband, he had already picked the name Samantha. So our first daughter will be named Samantha Ryleigh... I just thought I would share😂 Been watching since your TTC videos for baby #2😊🥰
It took us 8 months to conceive and it was tough to keep getting negatives! The month we conceived we got a puppy and literally tried once during my fertile week. Clearly the not "trying" was key 😂🤣😂
Thanks for your realness, God bless your heart and your family ❤ I love you even more beacuse you are LATINA!!!🇨🇺 Im from 🇩🇴 and im moving to the 🇺🇸 this year, im also 30 weeks pregnant and im due by the end of april, when you move to Virginia can you make a video on how to travel with babies? This will be my first time traveling and traveling with a newborn so i would like to be prepared. Gracias por tu ayuda kayla❤
Potty training is a monster! 😩 First time attempting it with no luck! So if anyone has any tips, please help us both 😂 Love the video as always Kayla 💕
My brother and I were both potty trained in 1 day (and I have autism. We had no accidents after we were potty trained either. What you do is you set a date a month later and you have a countdown to potty training. You HAVE TO BE extremely excited about it. My mom said she used oh my gosh look at this in a month you are going to be a big girl or boy. In a month the diaper ferry will come and take all of your diapers and leave you something else in their place. My mom did this everyday for a month. My mom said after 2 weeks we were asking how much longer until we were potty trained. The day before we were going to be trained we collected all the diapers in the house and put them in a box out front. The next morning the ferry came took all the diapers and left us big kid underwear. After this my mom put whoever she was training at the time in only the underwear. My mom turned all the phones off and wrote a note over the doorbell not to ring the doorbell and to comeback tomorrow. For me my mom and I spent the entire day on our patio. It was in Florida so we didnt have to worry about it being cold. My mom got a doll that would pee when you gave them water. My mom would have me feed something salty to the doll and give them water while the doll was on the toliet. My mom celebrated big time when the doll went on the potty. My mom would feed me salty snacks and lots of water. There were quite a few accidents, but before my dad cam home from work (which was 5:00) I was going on the toliet. It was the same process for my brother, but they lived in Wisconsin at the time so my mom did it in the basement on the concrete floor I can't find the book my mom used with my brother and I unfortunately. Maybe look up potty training in a day with a doll.
Jessica Ely Omg Thank you! I appreciate you taking the time out to write all of this great information! I will definitely have to try this method out, we have one of those potty training dolls too, so hopefully it works. My daughter has shown interest in wanting to be potty trained, so I’m definitely going to try this out. Thank you! 💕
@@MarleneOrganization your welcome. I hope it works out for you 💕💕. I haven't personally used this method, but my mom and friends have and had success.
Yeah Riley is the same age as my daughter and there’s really no rush I’m waiting till my daughter gives me signs I really enjoyed this video thank you for sharing I love your little family I been watching you for a while now can’t wait to see a videos on decorating your new house so exited thanks for sharing and being so real baby Jason is so cute I know it’s not easy but I’m glad he’s doing a lot better ❤️💕
I’m new to your channel. I’m considering starting a mommy channel too. How much time would you say you spend producing a video (from recording to posting). Thank you!
QUESTION: Are you going to do a travel with infant video? How old will Jackson be when you take him on his first flight? I’m traveling with my 2 month old in March and would love some input 🥰😘
My son is almost 2.5 and the only person we have left him with is my SIL. I literally trust no one else 🤷🏼♀️ unfortunately for us (but super fortunate for her) she is moving to Hawaii right after we have baby #2 in May
I work full time from home and mama of my first who is now 3 months old. It is so hard to find time for myself much less my husband. It's even harder to juggle work and a baby especially when I'm at home. Any suggestions?
Kids are like sponges, and absorb SO much growing up. It gets harder as they get older. I wish my mom (Mexican) would have taught me Spanish (she was fluent, and passed when I was 13). My dad only spoke English. My whole family on my mom’s side is bilingual, and I am not. I think it is SO important to teach another language, and I REALLY wish my mom would have taught me.
Its extremely hard to teach your kid another language when your spouse doesn't speak that language. I'm in Switzerland and my husband is Swiss. Switzerland speaks a dialect of German. You are supposed to only speak your mother tongue in front of your child. My husband wants my daughter to speak Swiss German. I don't speak it. It's been a lot of talking in the bathroom or kitchen for us.
Can not wait to see the baby carrier video! I have one (not sure what it’s called it’s just a basic one with buckled) I want to get one that’s more comfortable but also secure! Love your videos you help me get through the slumps I get in.
Your openness is so relaxing to me... Like I'm just being real with a friend. You're a special one, K!
