I'm celebrating my daughter's 1st birthday this weekend, I'm also currently 20 weeks pregnant and we just found out yesterday that it's a boy! We're undecided on whether to get a second pram/stroller or look into purchasing a double, so your advice would be very welcome! Not sure how my heavily pregnant self will be able to keep up with a toddler in a few months but you're doing an amazing job!

So cute. I don't have to read that book now because Riley pretty close to read it all to me. Good for her. You will retain all the memories in your heart, there will be a video record in vlogs, and you will make new memories. When you get to VA look for a Cuban bakery, which you may find if you are in the environs of D.C. Because D.C. has people from all over the world. The world-renown master chef, Jose Andres, from Spain has his restaurant and home there. There are so many internationally-oriented things due to the center of the federal government being there with all the diplomats, etc., that their presence draws. Plus Baltimore is a big city with lots of various Latinos there and institutions that draw people from all over the world, like the stellar Johns Hopkins University and its medical center and research studies. MD & VA horse country can draw representatives even from QEII, who breeds some horses there. You may be surprised at what you can find, though it may not be examples in the dozens within each small town. And you will find new culinary traditions that you will want to enjoy while you are in that region. But Cuban is not an oddity at all in many places around American. It just isn't the dominant Latino subculture except in the Miami area. However, following the original escape from Castro through the Mariel Boat Lift there are significant Cuban-American communities in NY-northern NJ, TX into OK, VA, PA (Philly-southern NJ), NC, NV, MD, IL, GA, CA (L.A. southward into Orange County), and the D.C. area (specifically Washington-Alexandria-Arlington). Ask some folks in your area who they know of in the D.C. area doing what they make. It could turn out to be their cousin who has a place. You can always ask her to eat 2 more bites of something before she goes to play or get dessert, if she has eaten a pretty good meal. But you must present things, keep a pleasant mealtime for the family, and not have her negatively influence your son who does not need a bad example. On the positive side, my brother was the world's worst eater and now travels the world eating native culinary specialties in tiny villages that would make me consider starvation as an option (and I have quite a varied palate). The only issue over time is that people who are fussy eaters or have bad manners or talk constantly about what they cannot eat due to meds, diet, etc., are not really cherished guests or companions for meals. But most kids tend to go through phases with those preoccupations. It will not be healthy for her to have a limited diet in the long run. That stroller is a gift from the heavens if it is not a side by side. A lot of places do not want people taking those into their establishment or on narrow sidewalks because they really impede foot traffic, which is how their merchants make their livelihood. I am not sure anyone makes those side by sides anymore due to that. Oops, it is a side by side. Well, that may be alright if you live in the 'burbs where there are few people out walking the streets and the children are not taken into stores in it where they would clog aisles. If you have a bucolic neighborhood where you do a daily walk on the sidewalk and perhaps go to a play park for the kids, it should not be a problem. In most more populated environments re: public walkways and shops with aisles that are not as wide as the big box stores, this one would be a bit of a problem. It seems to be narrower than some of this type, so may work out. "Casper" was a kids' cartoon and is more of a kids' movie than most Halloween movies. i have to check out the dollar section at Target. That little paintable Halloween greeting card was cute. It was a sweet idea to go out as a doe and a fawn. I guess Joe is staying home to hand out candy to kids who visit your place. There she goes again: the Dancing Queen. Tell her she has to eat well to be a good dancer. It is so funny how she just gets inspired to dance, but is still young enough to not know how to lift her feet yet as part of the endeavor. At this age, they all look like their soles are glued to the floor. It is nice when people have gentle parties at home that keep the kids safe and not overtired.
