If you liked this with Malfeasance, try it with Crimson. It does less damage overall and probably generates less grenade energy, but the 3 round burst builds the damage buff faster and you gain access to healing, which strand innately lacks. The ammo refund on headshot also makes it great for dealing with groups of enemies quickly, too.
@Vichas x It's damage per magazine. A full mag of malfeasance dumped into a champ will overall do more damage than crimson, but crimson will kill quicker so its better for less tanky Champs. A good solution if you're using crimson is to reload with marksman dodge right after you run out and continue shooting. Shouldn't be a huge difference
@@brayw.7109 Ok thanks, think i will just use the crimson then. Might be a little less overall damage but the fast burst and healing from crimson greatly helps strands lack of healing.
As a lucky pans strand hunter since lightfall day 1, I have been enjoying similar build ever since. I would give few more suggestion: weapon choice --1, crimson is good too, sometime even better than MALFEASANCE, it can greatly increase your survivability. 2, the real god weapon for this build is Seventh Seraph Revolver with reconstruction + vorpal (or harmony or redirection), reconstruction reloads 2 rounds per sec which perfectly match the out of luck debuff, so you never need reload, and with perk above, the Seventh Seraph Revolver do much more DPS than MALFEASANCE. 3, therefore, the energy slot you can use the most broken primary weapon - Fighting Lion! You only need fighting lion to clear red bars since it one shot anything, and once yellow bar or boss come, it's time for HC, also enjoy the crazy damage from vorpal or harmony (since you just kill a red bar with fighting lion).
ive been running the solar version of this build with crimson and radiant buffs and man. it shreds paired with crimson heals on kills its pretty cracked
@@darkrinshade4363 Yes that's it. For some reason this season since lightfall launch, Fighting Lion is doing 5x damage to red bars (only red bars not yellow bars or boss/champions) than it suppose to do. I think it's a bug but since Bungie is so lazy to fix it for entire season, why not enjoy it. 🙂
Actually the best class to abuse Fighting Lion is void GYRFALCON hunter, invis-shoot-invis-shoot forever. Even a beginner can solo any GM with that. Now I already refuse to use that build after a few days of enjoying, it makes the game boring. Same as I refuse to use starfire warlock last few season.
A very good legendary alternative to this is the Seventh Seraph Revolver with FttC + Vorpal, yes it won’t have any intrinsic unstoppable this season but it absolutely dishes out wild damage and opens up an exotic slot if need be.
Crimson is also a great swap if for some reason you're finding survivability to be an issue! My Seraph has reconstruction and I find that works great too because I never get through 27 bullets in the time window. Either are great! Great comment.
Seventh Seraph is absolutely the best legendary hand cannon to use if you want to run another exotic. Reconstruction and Vorpal are the best perks, though Fourth Time’s the Charm will also work. Seraph Rounds helps with crowd control. Otherwise, make sure its Stability is at least 60, and prioritize its Range stat for the rest. Don’t worry about Handling because Lucky Pants buffs that to 100 already. Reload Speed is not a huge priority, but Flared Magwell is an acceptable magazine perk (Seraph Rounds is still best, though). Smallbore or Chambered Compensator are probably its best two barrel perks. A Range or Stability masterwork is preferable. Using Thread of Ascent instead of Thread of Continuity (you don’t really need it) will help you out with instant reloading and general gunplay. I think it fits the build better.
I remember when strand came out and most of us thought it was mid! Little did we know, all you need is thread of generation, a shackle grenade and max discipline to make an infinite suspend build!
100% going to be trying this build out. Didn’t use my Strand build much before as I found the grapple spam sort of boring. Love that this isn’t tied to seasonal artifact perks either!
This looks really fun but isn't running both Grenade Kickstart and Kinetic Surge somewhat counterintuitive? Suspending with a grenade will remove all your armor charge right when you want to be damaging with Malpheasance so it's probably better to run one or the other.
@@hummuslord6521 I think the point is that if you throw a grenade and grenade kickstart eats all of your armor charge, then you don't have armor charge for kinetic surge so your malfeasance won't have the damage buff.
For anyone who didn't know as well you don't have to swap weapons to re-proc lucky pants. Pull out your ghost and it counts as stowing your hand cannon for a re-proc.
I have a solar build around crimson and lucky pants, takes advantage of radiant and restoration buffs as well, plus crimson heals on kills. No CC but a lot of on demand damage.
If your using grenade kickstart and weapon surge perks on your boots the kick-start perk will use all your armor charges so those two mods work against eachother.
@@joon-young9589 well if you have both equipped, when you use your grenade, grenade kickstart will take all your armor charges so then your weapon surge will not work because you have no charges left.

@@UltimateUnknown yeah thats obvious, i just wanted to mention it seperatly to point that malf has it anyways even if u cant suspend for a second :3 thank you regardless :3
Only issue I had when trying out Crimson in the past was the mag size being too small to take full advantage of the lucky pants buff. You build x10 faster, but spend part of the buff timer reloading. Definitely worth the shoutout though as it does have different strengths, specifically with the heal and faster burst damage. The mag refresh on precision kill comes in handy too but doesn't help the small mag size when doing single-target dps
Really good video and build, I find pulling my ghost out and putting him away to malfeasance fast and easier to activate or prock the pants when I do it and thought you may find it the same
