Tesla and Xpeng cannot be compared! Tesla abandonned all sensors except cameras already 2 years ago, week they hardly reached ADAS level 2.8 and since then went back to ADAS level 2.3... Xpeng have much less vehicles than Tesla on the road, but had much much more models than Tesla equipped with Lidars (2, well placed, not on the roof but at the most effective place to discover what is behind the vehicle preceding the autonomous driving vehicle (Xpeng). According to all the daten they saved about all sort of strange situations, and having reached ADAS level 4.2 in some places and working to reach ADAS level 5.0 till 2026, Xpebg is in a much better situation than Tesla, to use only on some vehicles (Mona M03, Xpeng P7+, ...) by still getting useful daten from Nio, Xpeng vehicles equipped with Lidars, and using very very accurate visual detection of animals, they can do much better than Tesla without generating any risk for the users! Tesla did not care of security, they just responsabilized drivers making them fully, but badly, responsible of any accident! Even worse than the bad Chinese brands Xiaomi (with its new but dangerous SU7 prototype) and Zeekr with their beautiful and very strange cars but with lot of security lacks! Xpeng in contrary is taking security as a first condition, as they are doing robots (Xpeng Robotics) and flying vehicles (only prototypes for now) but which will he soonly available to the customers and which request a 3 dimensional effective security system!
