Problem is this that after refunding Ebay and Amazon don't take any action against fake sellers, that is they keep doing to other clients. Because not everyone have knowledge about these tricks
So that's why my 64 gb USB that I bought keeps getting corrupted everytime I move a large files it's not even 1 gb and the file keeps getting corrupted I thought the USB has virus but it was just fake
Thank you I actually bought a 16 gig USB drive and It did not store anything even photos, I did the test it shows 1 gig only and that 1 gig is also corrupted
I got scammed lost close to 500 GB of files I thought I successfully transfer them and deleted all original ones It was not transferred and the files in the usb are corrupted. Lost decades of work
Very helpful, my fake flash drive reacted exactly as you described. From the beginning I was suspicious because of the cheap price. But the packaging is very neat.
Thank you very much for this informative video, sir. I have suspected that there was something wrong with two USB sticks I have, one I ordered online with as much caution as I could take and a spare one I received when I was starting university. They don’t seem to work anymore. The one I got at uni kept corrupting the appearance of the images I use for my articles and the text displayed in the window was distorted as if Zalgo was involved. I know that reference to the creepypasta was corny, but I can’t describe it in any way. If I want a new USB drive for backing up more writing and such, I ought to stick to shopping in person and not online.
I just downloaded and used RMPrepUSB and selected "quick size test." I know I have a bogus 2TB USB stick and I just wanted to know what the real capacity was. The test has hung up at "95% complete - 1 min 8 sec remaining" for the last hour.
I would generally recommend buying your drives from Amazon, making sure that it is sold and shipped by Amazon itself. They usually sell legitimate drives only, and if for some unlucky event you end up with another fake one, they will refund you right away
@@mikebanach7542 That's pretty strange! Have you bought it from Amazon directly or from a 3rd party seller? In either case, you should be eligible for a full refund
bruh just after 10-15 mins i used the flash drive it already said 0 byte on the properties list i havent tried the app you said but im expecting itll be the same i spent 30 dollars on it and im not even sure if refund is available
Hey Federico! Thanks so much for the tutorial. I checked your channel since this is an old video and found your channel alive, which I'm very pleased to learn and happy to subscribe to 🤜
Unfortunately, there is no technique to make them in the original state, they are a scam, there is no good "original state". One thing that you could do is formatting them in a way that only the real 12/13gb are visible and usable, so that you shouldn't get any corruption. That said, they are definitely unreliable as they are not genuine chips
@@FedericoTerzi Would using the diskpart on the cmd control can change it back? I'm really not sure if that would really work and might affect other files on my computer.
I'm not sure, but don't buy pen drives from chinese online shops, it's so obvious it's a scam 99% of the time. Buy a pen drive at an actual pc hardware store on your area...

That's bad! Unfortunately, these scams are still very common

thats why i always make double copies of everything because flash drives have a shelf life too but i have no idea what it is !!!

7how do you revert it back to the real capacity so you can "safely" use the drive? in my case, an ssd not a usb

i think its safe to say if youre not sure of any site/brand just google it ,adding the word scam.
Can I use a phone to check ? If yes, how do i download it. I teied but it didn't open atter downloading.

Not a good sign :D
The command prompt like window is not showing anything, im testing a 2tb stick, should i give it more time or it don't work?
I keep seeing "removable disk 1tb for a 2tb USB I bought does it mean it's fake?
well I just wasted $35 on a fake USB. Anyone have a link to a real 256G USb drive?

Federico Terzi funny enough I bought it from amazon and tested it on another pc and it doesn't work on that either so it must be the driver

Federico Terzi directly from amazon, it does say I am eligible for a full refund, just ordered an hp brand 256G from Best Buy to be safe

Can you give us a list of where to buy real, safe flash drives?
Im here because I have the same case that being scammed in online
I was trying to create a bootable usb drive to upgrade a pc and it's a fake...
Mine is not reading at all. :(
It stuck at 85% , is that mean my usb is fake? Or it the software problem?
You have to be patient, it takes a while
anybody else find they are unable to extract the zip file for the download for this app?😔
Can you make a video on how to fix them and make them on their original state?

@@ralfvillorente9857 I really don't recommend it... As the resulting USB key will be still a bad quality one, that you can't rely upon

Buy a pen drive at an actual pc hardware store on your area...
That's a good strategy, though it also might happen in those places as well (very rarely)
