  • Hello guys! How many times have we been looking for a problem related to the gearbox or clutch pedal and in the end the problem has always been in the clutch kit that was placed earlier!? The brand of a clutch cannot be something that is decided by opinion or taste, it must always be the same brand that was supplied to the factory during assembly. Sometimes, inside the box with the incorrect brand, the parts are actually correct, that's why sometimes it works well, but most of the time not really!
As we can perfectly see, the construction tolerances are very different and in fact this disc rubbed against the crankshaft bolts. In addition to its central clearance, it was very unstable and difficult to drive!

I Love SACHS Clutches , always very reliable brand , real Made in Germany. But Valeo and Aisin are very good too

  • @peterzoltan5839

I am working with clutches almoust daily (I am a mechanic ) and Luk is one of the best brands in clutches. Here I think that the previous owner changed the clutch by dimensions reference and not what the EPC asked . For example : for an alfa gt 1.8 the best clutch is Valeo , Luk even not made clutch kit for this model.

Your channel is a great one.

  • @joes5096

Dude if you have the wrong clutch in there it's never going to work. WTF do you think is happening when you see those flywheel bolts rubbed out? The clutch is holding off and you have slippage. The whole assembly looks gross as if they just cross installed something from the shelf. LUK is my go to, its a Valeo. I do run Exceedy on on my Honda's and Mazda's

Luk aren’t that bad. I believe Luk is owned by Valeo as a budget brand and they use Valeo patterns, andY they often come with Valeo stamped parts in the box. Your clutch clearly looks like the wrong clutch for the car, which is why it looks weedy next to the correct clutch, and why it was fouling on the flywheel bolts. It was clearly more damaged than worn out.

Don't buy luck uneven pressure plate fingers severe vibration

  • @dnacannotchange

My Sachs slave cylinder is full of gray metallic toothpaste material...... My Nissan oem master clutch cylinder $164.... Doesn't seal at the hardline..... Found out today....😅.... After bleeding the clutch I can only drive for 3 day.... And that's after stopping all the leaks..... It needs an exceed pressure plate.

  • @leod3963

Aisin is a Toyota brand just like Denso.

  • @fun2rideadventure

it doesnt matter if it LUK or Valeo or Sacks etc ... check if the LUK clutch kit it was compatible with your car .... there are many versions, and if the parts identification was correct made...... you should add the LUK part numbers here .... and you vehicle data .... so we can check if that LUK clutck kit was corrected identified for your car .... I worked in this domain and I know what i am tolking about!!! the rest that luk or sach or valeo or aisin or ap ...etc.... is not good for this or for that car is just a story .....

Nice one...in my 156 mk1 sometimes I have trouble engaging the Reverse...sometimes it engages right away, other times it won't lock even after repeated combinations, e.g. 4th>reverse, 3>4>reverse, 5th>reverse....Reverse does not have a synchronizer I believe in this model....is there a way to operate it more smoothly?

    Another great informative video

  • @JayJay-du4tp

Great info. This is very informative for someone who doesn’t understand how clutch/flywheel work. I have a Toyota and when I asked other fellow Toyota car owners if Sachs clutch will work, i kept reading “keep the car stock as possible”. I didn’t know what they meant. But now I know they meant to buy excedy or aisin because they are the OE manufacturer for Toyotas and other Japanese brands.

Great video Bruno. Thanks for the amazing videos. Actually the 156 2.4 20V has a LUK flywheel and clutch. Same with the 159 I believe. The OEM Alfa clutch is also LUK. The 4cylinder JTDs are Valeo.

Great video. Quite informative. I would to know, what is the best brand for a Ford Focus Ecoboost 2016 1.0L? Is Aisin a great option? Please let me know, thanks!!

Hello, I'm probably going to have to replace my clutch and dualmass flywheel in the next half a year, it's an alfa gt jtd, I also suspect it was remapped by the previous owner, judging by the performance I measured.

  • @quillaume2390

Hi Bruno, nice video. Question: i have a Toyota Avensis T25 2.0 petrol 2007. Clutch still works but there is some space when i go from the 2e gear to the 3e gear and from the 4e gear to the 5e gear. Some mechanics told me that the cluch is not 100% anymore. Which brand clutch would be good for my car...? Sachs or Luk or Aisin? When i let the Toyota dealer replace it, it will costs around 1150 euro. But a universal garage asks around 650-750. They use Sachs or Luk. What would be your advise..? Hear from you. Gr
