It is always enlightening to hear Chidambaram.
The reason I side with Congress is not just because of their fair just ideology, but because Congress is a party of not just political leaders but of highly intellectual and learned individuals.
In BJP we see most of the leaders are either not educated or from criminal background or completely illiterate except for some ome two of them.
And that's the reason why Congress has survived till today no matter whatever people say, they are highly educated party so eventually people start to know that we should rely on educated and learned leaders than just voting for people who can only give big election speeches and false promises with big words.
I hope people of India will realise that if we really want to be the Vishwaguru than we need leaders who understand economics and contemporary needs with tolerance and peace in the country. Otherwise we can't just be No. 1 uf we keep ourselves engage in communal hatred and intolerance. We need leaders who are able.

According to 2022 Oxfam report 1% rich owns nearly 42% of total wealth in India and 2023 report says 10% owns 77% of total wealth in India. Even if India becomes largest economy in the world , there will not be any tangible change on ground unless we bridge the inequality gap between poor and rich .How much will be the per capita income of those 10% rich and the per capita income of 90 % population who just owns 23%wealth of country. Economic mismanagement, demonetisation, flawed GST , plutocracy, crony capitalism , hike in fuel price, lack of employment,, inequality in distribution of income and wealth price rise of goods and services etc etc made the life common people Very miserable. We need a wise finance minister like Dr Manmohan Singh to tide over the present economic problems.

It's also a no-brainer increasing the income of the poorest 15% by say giving them 3-6000 rupees per month as almost all of the money in this segment goes straight back into the economy as consumption. The BJP would do well to think about either a Universal minimum income OR some means of providing every BPL family with a basic minimum income.

Sustaining a 8% growth rate mainly through manufacturing is virtually impossible unless de-forestation takes place on a gigantic scale by displacing tribals or ravaging our sea coasts- in short, by causing an ecological disaster. Other countries can grow at 8 % because of the low population to land ratio. India's growth strategy should consist of 2 planks- giving its scientific community the resources and the responsibilities of finding cost-effective solutions to the problems of affordable housing and health-care and providing urban facilities in rural areas that doctor Kalam was so passionate about. If India has the scientific brains to send spacecraft to the moon, it certainly has the brains to solve the common man's problems and design local technologies for small and medium enterprises. My vision of India is that of a large number of thriving small and medium enterprises serving the larger ones in India and abroad and colloborating with their counterparts in other countries.

THE PRESENT BJP GOVT IS IMPLEMENTING 10% EWS QUOTA NOT BASED ON ECONOMIC CRETERIA, BUT ONLY IN THE NAME OF ECONOMIC CRITERIA. NOW MODI GOVT WON IN THE COURT WITH 3 JUDGES AGREEING AND 2 JUDGED SEVERLY OPPOSING IT. IF IT IS PURELY ON THE ECONOMIC CRITERIA, THE INCOME LIMIT SHOULD HAVE BEEN AROUND 2 LAKH RUPEES PER YEAR INSTEAD OF 8 LAKHS AND FOR WHOLE POPULATION IRRESPECTIVE OF CASTE, CREED AND RELIGION. THE ULTIMATE MOTIVE OF THE BJP GOVT IS TO NULLIFY ALL THE RESERVATIONS GIVEN TILL NOW ALMOST TO ZERO LEVEL. THEY DON'T HAVE COURAGE TO REDUCE THE PERCENTAGE OF ALREADY PROVIDED RESERVATION CONSIDERING THE PROTEST FROM OBC, SC, ST, THOUGH THAT IS THEIR REAL OBJECTIVE. INSTEAD THEY ARE CLEVERLY COUNTERACTING WITH THE RESERVATION TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE BALANCE WITH A TOTAL NULLIFYING OR EVEN REVERSING EFFECT. NOW NOBODY CAN COMPLAIN AGAINST THE GOVT THAT THEY ARE REDUCING THE RESERVATION FOR THE OBC/SC/ST. THEY WILL ANSWER THAT THESE RESERVATIONS ARE KEPT INTACT. THIS METHOD IS DEVISED CONSIDERING THE POOR ANALYTICAL ABILITY OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC. IN PAST, ON THE SAME LOGIC BOFORS, PICKLE EXPORT CORRUPTION, 2G PROPOGANDA, COAL GATE, CWG, AADHARSH, NOTE BANDHI, GST, FARM BILL, LAND ACQUSITION BILL, PULWAMA, BALACOT, FIRST TIME COVID LOCK DOWN AND EVERYTHING WERE DONE. PUBLIC UNDERSTANDING WITH PROPER ANALYSIS ON ANYTHING IS VERY VERY POOR LIKE THE HERD OF GOATS AND SHEEPS. PUBLIC DECISION MAKING PROCESS IN ELECTIONS IS PURELY BASED ON PROPAGANDA MACHINERY POWER WITH MEDIA HELP, POWER OF CREATION A FALSE COUNTER NARRATIVE FOR EVERY TRUTH, MONEY POWER OF THE POLITICIAN, INFLUENTIAL POWER OF THE LOCAL GOONDAS, MUSCLE POWER AT GRASS ROOT LEVEL, CREATING RELIGIOUS ENMITY EMOTION ( now polished way called as "POLARIZE" ) AND ULTIMATELY THE SUPER POWER OF EVM BY 10%. BJP HAS ALL THESE POWERS ABUNDANTLY. SO, UNLESS THE AFFECTED PEOPLE BY THIS "GOVERNMENT OF ULTRA RICH" REALIZE THIS FACT THE COUNTRY WILL GO IN THIS WAY ONLY. ESPECIALLY WHEN EVERY 10 YEARS NEW GENERATION RAISE UP TO THE NEW ELECTION, THINGS WILL BECOME WORSE ONLY, BECAUSE THEIR VALUE SYSTEM IS JUST WHAT THEY LEARNT IMMEDIATELY BEFORE THEY ATTAINED FRANCHISING POWER IS WORSE THAN A FEW YEARS BACK. THIS IS A CONTINUOUS PROCESS OF INCREASING THE ENTROPY AND DECREASING THE ORDERLINESS. IT IS A HERCULEAN TASK TO FIX THIS. IT NEEDS A LOT OF DEVOTION TO THE PATH OF VIRTUE AND GREAT AMOUNT OF HARD WORK AND SACRIFICE.

To bring a huge population out of poverty you need a strong govt which can enforce and implement policies and the determined plans.
China with a strong and stable govt managed to bring about 400 million of its people out of the clutches of poverty.
In India we all know how baneful some of our so called democratic institutions are.
Politicians by and large are of low calibre, deceitful, many are just rabble rousers, of dubious loyalty to their own country and some are criminals who sit in parliament.
Indian politicians are full of hype, self elevating and presenting themselves as saviours of the down trodden. This serves them well in deceiving the huge poverty stricken people, whose votes are then easily garnered.
A reality check will reveal that these politicians are not the champions they present themselves to be in public but are scammers who will do any deception to fill their pockets.
It is sad that an overwhelming majority of the people are enticed and thrilled by political drama and cinema depictions, than analysis of facts and reality.
Indiscipline, a penchant for civil commotion and disruption of normal services are strong deterents for inflow of foreign investment which is so important for poverty reduction.
Just talk and talk with fine words and erudite arguments will certainly not produce the results we desire.
