Wish I viewed your video before I attempted to install my track lighting. Could not understand what I was doing wrong.
Then, after watching you, I had an aha moment! The light went on, (pun intended)! Very helpful! Thanks!

Lithonia lighting fixtures from Lowe’s are the worst. No directions showing this technique of twisting the head unit into the track. How is the consumer supposed to know this?

All the track I've worked with (four different stores) has a slight groove on the ground side of the track. This is on the side that faces downward, it is easy to see and feel.

I feel like I'm losing my mind. My track is hot, I see the side w two coppers and the other side with only one, and my pins appear to line up (mine do not have the adjustable pin so it is only a matter of bending them a bit if need be). The shroud is insanely difficult to pull back, but on a test run when just holding it on its own I can see that the little plastic edges do indeed come down far enough to clear the edge. But with all these things in place, when I go to twist the stupid flippin thing, the contact is apparently still not being made. I have three lights on the track all w new bulbs so bulb can't be the issue. Any other tips? I bought this at Lowe's (Lithonia Lighting) and do not recommend so far. Have been wiring and rewiring and testing and slowly turning into a giant ball of rage. Thanks for any input.

Problem here is he really didn't think this all the way through. I found this first time out. You really can't pull the "shroud" down. BUT, it's EASY to simply push UP on the lamp housing, automatically retracting the shroud, and twisting as needed. Easy

    1. Lithonia Lighting could have improved the design by marking with a label on the track to show two pins and one pin sides instead of someone peeking inside the track while standing on the ladder with no lights.
    2. At 2:09, you would see a mark (called Ground Indicator) where the stem and shroud join. This indicator side has two pins (one of them is ground). This is only helpful as a reference if you are installing subsequent bulbs if the first one is installed correctly and working fine
    3. To remove a faulty bulb, the shroud should be pulled gently (or pushing the stem up and pulling the shroud down to avoid ripping the track off the ceiling), and twisted 90 degrees either direction
    4. To install a new bulb, make sure where the two pins side is on the track and two pins side is on the bulb (or the Ground Indicator as mentioned above) . The bulb can be installed in two ways (Please remember Step # 2 above)
    a. As this video said, put the bulb in the track, pull the shroud and twist the bulb 90 degrees so that the two pins sides on the bulb meets the two pins side on the track.
    b. As "SamFixit Guy" commented below, put the bulb in the track, push the bulb towards the ceiling so that the shroud is pushed down automatically and twist the bulb 90 degrees so that the two pins sides on the bulb meets the two pins side on the track. I prefer this method as it uses ONLY ONE HAND to do

Thank you for that tip. It doesn’t say very clearly at all in the instructions how to do this.

Track pendant. 2 lights work 3rd light cusses short. Happened twice

I would check to make sure the 3rd is wired correctly.
