Miss all these great actors. These guys were just so good. Actors today cannot compare to the actors of this era. Martin was so good he could spend his day golfing and never miss his marks. Truly miss these guys.
AS a fifties kid, I loved Dean and Jerry... movies and comics... but then with adulthood, Jerry increasingly seemed irrelevant while Dean was always worth watching; as a movie actor and also crooning in his show; even though by then I was a hard-rock/blues fan. Even today, seventy years later, a Dean Martin song will always make me stop and listen. He owns every song he sang.
Best entertainer ever. A singer who cold sing any song and made great. Very few singers could do that. Today we don't have singer like Dean Martin, Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Tom Jones, Engelbert Humperdinck, Nat King Cole, and Como.. Today it's all junk.
He was one of my first crushes. I remember all the songs that he sang. He was a handsome man and when I grew up. I was gonna marry him. Didn't know he was married though where he had children. But he, but yes, he was a wonderful, wonderful actor answering her and from what I just hear from this video. He was a fantastic father. And husband. But I'm glad that the family is still continuin.God bless you all.
Me too. Jerry Lewis was meaner than crap to his family and his first wife. The only movies that were worth watching were the ones with Dean Martin in them.
Fairly good, however many errors about dates/years and documentary lacked smooth presentation. Loved Dean's "act" and one of the best male vocalists ever, along with Bing Crosby, Perry Como were/are the greatest crooners of 30's, 40's, 50's, 60's and into the 70's....there will never be others like them. Music/entertainers have all gone to hell.
Lewis held Dean Martin back, trying to always be upfront of everything. I’ll always see Dean Martin as the true talent. He didn’t have to be Lil himself to be loved.
I am 70 in the early seventies in hong kong as a young soldier. They showed him live on tv he was brill. What a singer. And a good looking guy, No not gay straight but i was jealous.
Saw him more than once driving his Stutz Blackhawk on Sunset Boulevard in Pacific Palisades. Usually late at night, driving from Riveria Country Club to his house in Bel Air, which was later owed (and lost) by actor Nic Cage. Saw his son, Dean Paul, in Francis Orr Stationary Store in Beverly Hills back in the '80s. He was with Desi Arnez Jr who had a major cold. Double tragedy how Dean Paul died and how his death apparently destroyed Dean's will to live.
Loved the Dean Martin comedy show. Wish they would bring it back on. They have taken all the great shows off TV. ,& replaced most if them With nonsense
In today's world, whatever is on television is garbage. When I was growing up we had shows like Jackie Gleason Show, Syd Cesare Show, Amos ad Andy, American Bandstand, great music with Guy Lombardo on New Years Eve, not the wrap they have on now. Other shows Perry Como, My friend Irma,Mama, and many more that I can't remember since I'm 83 years old. Happy New Year everyone.😂
I thought Dean was a very talented man. And I even learned to sing like he did. I still have all of his albums and 45 rpm. But I never cared for Lewis at all. I guess he was a little to childish for my liking. In fact I would go as far as calling it stupid.
I always preferred it Martin than Lewis. Dean had so much talent in every way Louis was obnoxious, and his talent was just getting away with being goofy and making faces.
Dean passed away December 25th 1995 from acute respiratory failure resulting from emphysema. Alcohol had absolutely nothing to do with his death! Dean had Martinelli's apple juice in his glass on stage and on set as a prop. Greg Garrison, many of Dean's children and Dean himself stated many times through the years that Dean Martin was not an alcoholic!
I liked Dean Martin movies Matt Helm those were funny secret agent movies and I enjoyed the Dean Martin n Jerry Lewis movies , my favorite song that Dean sang was Tiny Bubbles!!❤❤❤❤ yes he was a true entertainer!!!
I always liked Dean Martin, He was The Best!
Miss all these great actors. These guys were just so good. Actors today cannot compare to the actors of this era. Martin was so good he could spend his day golfing and never miss his marks. Truly miss these guys.
Dean was a talented singer, actor, comedian, and personality that everyone fell in love with .

Christmas Day 1995 one of the saddest days of my life, like losing a family member God bless you Dean and Rest in Peace
I loved Dean Martin he was just great. 🥰
he is very missed, and very much so ahead of my time. i have seen the dean martin show though.. and it is sad that dean went through so much pain :/
Dean was the last of the class act

I just loved Dean!!
This man lost alot
.But he was a funny man with a big heart and a good singer ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

What a fantastic line up of singers you've named there!
I am a singer that enjoys my life every day because life is short. And that's something we have incoming ❤❤
He was one of my first crushes. I remember all the songs that he sang. He was a handsome man and when I grew up. I was gonna marry him. Didn't know he was married though where he had children.

Great photos rare !!!!
Love Dino.
I couldn't stand Jerry Lewis. He was never funny. He was idiotic. I was so happy that Dean went solo, and he was incredible. I absolutely loved Dean.
I agree
@@theshabbyvintagebelle1875 same
I agree 👍 also
Me too. Jerry Lewis was meaner than crap to his family and his first wife. The only movies that were worth watching were the ones with Dean Martin in them.
I couldn't stand Jerry Lewis either, never watched aniything that he was in and could never understand why Dean had anything to do with him.
Please release the Dean Martin show ❤🎉

Right! Too many wrong dates in this mess. :)
Elvis referred to Dean Martin as The King of Cool. That name stuck and became one of his nicknames.
Lewis held Dean Martin back, trying to always be upfront of everything. I’ll always see Dean Martin as the true talent. He didn’t have to be Lil himself to be loved.

I remember being at formal party in college late 70s , pretty girl on my arm , dink and a smoke other saying “ I feel just like I’m Dean Martin “
Dean Martin was in all of our lives, just like Cher, FLEETWOOD MAC, Evander Hollyfield & Smoky Robinson !
The king 🤴 of cool ❤

Lo bed all his shows and performances and Greg Garrison was a great producer love watching his stuff on iPad. Thankyou
I still listen to the Mills Bros.....Paper Doll
Turned out that Dean Martin was much more popular than Jerry Lewis, and Dean went a lot farther in Gerry sort of faded into the wilderness.
Yup❤
Read his daughter's book, Deana Martin ❤
Son Rico's book is really good also
I try to read everything that is written about him, he was a beautiful soul rest in peace my lovely❣️
I'd be happy to see men even remotely have the panache of the rat pack. Ah, real men!

I loved his voice! Loved his songs! He was so sexy.

DEAN MARTIN WAS AN IDOL BY POVERTY PEOPLE I GREW UP WITH
I always preferred it Martin than Lewis. Dean had so much talent in every way Louis was obnoxious, and his talent was just getting away with being goofy and making faces.
He said that Dino was born in the year 2017???!!! Honest mistake...but fancy.
Actually a lot of these video are AI generated and/or AI voice over......not honest mistake....sloppy work!
My Mom was born here to Italians. Went to kindergarten and couldn’t speak English. Geeze
Jerry Lewis was crap!
DINO🎤 IS NO DIFFERENT FROM US COMMONERS‼ WITH PASSING TIME, MOST OF US DRIFT AWAY‼ AS SHELLY WINTERS ONCE SAID, "YOU DON'T HAVE TO CALL ☎ANYMORE!!"
No difference?
Do all you "commoners" have a great singing voice, charisma and a good screen presence then? ! 🤔
@ I REFERRING TO NOT GIVING A FLYING FK ABOUT KEEPING IN TOUCH WITH ANYONE☝️‼️ THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF DENO’S THAT NEVER MADE IT, IT’S FKN LUCK☝️‼️
How old was he when he died
78 years old when he passed away. June 7th 1917 - December 25th 1995
Dude was not handsome but it did have ‘IT’!
2017…1917yes?
They said in 1800 she got an award.. WTH?
AI voice over and sloppy editing.....junk!
T Y
Jerry Lewis was great??? He made me laugh!! Martin and Lewis were a great Duo.
ALCOHOL IS TO BLAME
His drinking was his act. He drank apple cider/juice.
Dean was destroyed when his son died in a US Airforce Training flight that hit a mountain in the fog. He never got over the loss.
ROTTEN FATHER
That’s not true. Compared to many stars, Dean loved his kids. He always played the drunk, it was apple juice.
No he was not. Listen to how his children feel and learn something. He was a good father.
