1. When Kashi broke the pregnancy news she walked in the water and had to pull him in and show him, he was clueless.
2. When Mastani was pregnant he was already waiting in the water and pulled her in. She didn't have to tell him, he knew right away.

In real life, after Mastani's death, her son Samsher Bahadur was raised by Kashibai as her own son.
She was a dignified, graceful, & respectable woman!!
In real life (history), Bajirao never ditched Kashi and Kashi supported him throughout his life.
Bajirao took care of both Kashi and Mastani till everything was under control. After that, he actually left both of them in Pune and moved further to carry on only his political duty.

Bajirao did not return to Pune when the battle was over in February. What was stopping him? He left Mastani under housearrest and Kashi severely ill, both in Pune and went to Raverkhed giving reason of another northern campaign to his brother.
Bajirao was not at all sick as shown in the film.( That is imagination of Bhansali) He was keeping track of Raghav's upanayan, he wrote letters to Nanasaheb ( yes, his son who put Mastani under housearrest) and Radhabai too and many political letters also. All these are available.
He developed fever somewhere around 25 th April and that was the reason of his death

Gosh, please do historical research. This is a movie-adaption, based on history. This movie does not reply the history facts. It is a basis for discussion. By history Mastani was wed by her father to Bajirao. She had to live a live as a dancer and was repelled by the court. The history paints a different picture.
Yes Mastani suffered in this movie but the actual pain felt by people was for Kashi she did a brilliant job and showed us how a wife will feel if his very own who was also very much in love with her falls in love with another women shame on all those women who try to take other women’s men and shame on the men who go for other women when they already have one!!
I never really cared for Priyanka before but in this movie she showed what she can do keep it up and keep showing us your talented side!!

SLB is such a master story teller in this scene. The subtlety of Bajirao not being able to tell that his wife whom he’s supposed to have known all of his life is pregnant is conveyed through the water: still & unmoving whereas with mastani he instantly knew & there the fountain was on. And yet Kashi still carries a torch (her love) for him.

She nailed it as kashibai! Also it is more shatterring to know of husband's affairs when one is pregnant. Kashibai hinted in the end of the scene that she is pregnant.

this movie is next level unappropriation of historical facts.nobody ever tried to kill mastani,nether she was captured by peshwas after bajirao is gone.bajirao was not selected,but became peshwa cz he was a son of previous peshwa.nobody forced mastani to became nachnewali,as shown.mastani came for bajirao by her own even after knowing he was married,has a wife.still she is glorified as if she was some great lover.real lover was kashi.she deserves everything.

jenish patel all SLB wanted to do was glorify bajirao and mastani's relationship in every aspect possible. there's so many small attempts in the film, to try and get the audience to agree with how glorious their relationship was. for eg, when bajirao gives away kashibai's "navgraha ki anguthi" without any hesitation to the boat driver in order to get to mastani. It tried to imply how bajirao had chosen mastani over kashi, not only then but throughout the course of the film. That's one of the many reasons why ab toh jaane na doongi was never included in the film, so people wouldn't go about loving kashibai and bajirao more than bajirao and mastani. as for fitoori, they didn't wanna include an "item song" in the film.
I'm sorry for addressing such a long "essay" & I don't even know if you'll ever read this 😅. but, kashibai and bajirao's relationship is what I feel for very strongly, so...

The core reason for why people are now into kashibai's life is becoz of the cast PC in this movie, her acting spoke everything about the pain, misery and injustice inflicted upon kashi. Even the movie is titled as BAJIRAO MASTANI though😆. That's what he meant.

@Rima Begum Thank god someone finally spoke about this! I was feeling so bad when I realised that Shahid was already married when he fell in love with Padmavati. But unlike Kashi, no one really spoke about the double standards in that movie. On one hand I really liked Deepika's character in that movie but on the other hand I just couldn't get over that he just married another woman and returned home and presumably forgot all about his first wife. And they showed the first wife as a bitter and vindictive woman as if that makes it okay for you to cheat. It's so sad🙁

He loved both of them, but in different ways. Kashi was his comfort zone and nice attachment, while Mastani was his soul connection. If people like it or not, doesn't really matter. It wasn't easy for any of the three.

Even though Mastani was loved by Bajirao, she also suffered so much in the palace. However, my heart ache the most and my eyes fills with tear when I see kashibai.

Kashi does not want to believe the rumors of peshwa's affair. When peshwa tries to tell her himself, She just turn the topic stating-"i know u already ate" and give peshwa 'paan' the same way peshwa presented to mastani(touching thumb gently, letting him know that she witnessed it)
When peshwa walks away, she herself enter the pool to tell peshwa the seriousness of what she is about to unfold-that 'u r my king and i m ur peshwinbai, i m ur wife and about to give u a child, so pls come back to ur home, to ur wife'

Ann Nax yeah the song is good. Maybe, SLB edited it out to be more faithful to Bajirao Mastani as a couple. Ranveer-Priyanka chemistry is much better onscreen than Ranveer-Deepika. But, SLB is kind of fascinated with Deepika. He has liked her performance better than anyone in this film. She's his new muse after Aishwarya. It's his film, we can't do anything.
