    If I lived somewhere where it got as low as negative 40 degrees, it would be a high priority in life to change my latitude ASAP!

      you say that! But... You would get use to it pretty quick!
      I don't think i could move anywhere that is warm during the winter LOL!

      @@starpuss - When I was kid(from 10-16 years old), I lived in Oklahoma where it got down to zero degrees, or even a little lower. I've experienced negative 30 degree wind chill factors. Those kinds of temperatures, even occasionally, I could never get used to! So, when I turned 16, I got the hell out of there! I've only been back twice. Once for a wedding, and once for a funeral. The wedding was in May. The funeral was in July. Different years, though. Cheers!

    WOW, I realize its -40C and I know that is really cold, but if the battery can't hold a charge in 2 to 3 days in the cold weather, its telling you that she's not able to hold her reserve anymore, and she's loosing CCA as well. Its time to get a new battery Curtis, which is more important then smokes lol. Nice review of the charger though. She's not as good as a mechanics shop charger which has a 200CCA start mode, but she's not bad either.

      ya.. she is only a little 80amp jump starter , the one in the city we have is a 300Amp i think , but... kinda the same weight as a battery.
      Nothing beets just using a good charged up battery.
      I still have plans to make a booster battery setup soon , i have the semi batteries that "should" be still good.... .... And i also have the cart to mount them on.

      @@starpuss I can't wait to see that project! Please by all means film that, I am very interested in what you come up with. Besides, we gotta throw in a little Curtis style shenanigans in there for good measure. HEHE

    When you get back you should probably put the charger back on it lead acid batteries take a long time to fully charge

      I went for a 20KM drive , she was running for almost 2 hours.
      So she was well charged , just needs a new battery soon and well block heater is now fixed LOL !

      True! But his battery is 6 years old, and its loosing its reserve and its CCA's. I am honestly surprised it hasn't lost a cell with all the abuse its taken lol. He needs to buy a new battery and he will be good to go.

      Ya I was just saying good practice if you want a battery to live a long time

    Even at zero celcius it will stop charging and show a snowflake, as if it's too cold to work .
    Also, it wont charge a dead battery...there needs to be some voltage in tbe battery.
    I've had 2 and i dont like tbem, not reliable

    • @starpuss
      @starpuss  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have not had an issue with the snowflake showing on it.
      I always use it in -20c weather or colder.
      IF the battery has no / Low Voltage , Boost the battery for 4-10 times , than it should hold to start to charge.

    Ur suppose too let it count down to zero before u crank it

    • @starpuss
      @starpuss  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      At 0 It Stops.
      That would only be good if the battery was dead.
      But would not help for just a Shitty battery that will not take a charge,.

    Put a new starter in. Don't crank until it won't anymore. The greatest destroyer of starters is cranking them with low amperage until they won't.
