Lived in the PNW my whole like and let me tell you your an inspiration. I’ve been fishing pretty much my whole life and not once have I ever seen a TH-camr from the Northwest at least in my area of Washington have success on a TH-cam channel. Keep up the good work and if you’re ever down to fish I’ll be ready.😂
And YOU just made my evening 🎣 Thank you man, I really love fishing our area, and the channel growing at this rate is still unbelievable to me... You're right, in terms on Washington, there is no channel that has ever made it big. So the odds are against me... I like it! 🤣 Definitely down to fish, stay tuned for events!

Absolutely. Oh and there are a few youtubers but I have yet to find one quite like him. You can tell he puts time and effort into his videos and you don’t see that from youtubers around here. At least I don’t . I see this channel Growing into the 10,000 mark in the near future in subs and it isn’t going to stop there. I look forward to the videos when they are posted. That's awesome! I had collected a bunch as staging material for a real estate listing I had. House sold, now I have like 300 corks in a bucket 🤣 Have you made any bobbers yet?
Nothing yet, I haven’t got around to it yet. I’ve made a few with some boba straws to use for panfish lol. I am going salmon fishing for the first time this Sunday here in Northern CA. Wish me luck.

Just wanted to let you know I really enjoy your videos. Your positive attitude is what really makes you stand out. You seem so happy, excited, respectful, and watching you is like a mini feel good movie. I'm from the Northwest also, and also enjoy all types of fishing. Keep doing what you're doing buddy, you are definitely paving a road for success. As far as ideas go, try catching some sturgeon off your kayak in our two big local rivers we have. That would be cool to see you catch an oversize in the kayak and get pulled around a bit, Good luck to you!

Thank you for the kind words man... We totally have that in common. And I think it's necessary for TH-cam, as it otherwise would feel like a chore to make the videos! Really looking forward to doing some fishing together 🎣
Having built thousands of lures and used gallons of epoxy there’s a few tricks to this. After you apply the epoxy, run a torch quickly over it. You just swipe it really quick. This removes all the bubbles and thins the epoxy for a perfect finish.
I live in Washington too and I’ve been salmon fishing for three years with no luck. Now that I’ve come across your channel it’s inspired me to try it one more time
I hope you know how much hearing this means to me... So glad you are getting excited about fishing. That's all I want, is for people to realize they don't need to be a pro with fancy gear to catch fish. Just about going out, being in nature and having fun 🎣

That thing is sweet it actually looks really sensitive. Normal fix floats on the market have too big of an orange section and the fish can feel that resistance. The addicted float for instance has like half of itself out of the water but yours shows just the very top so it’s like a hairpin when they hit. Great work dude and awesome catching one on it. Bet it’s a blast just kayaking around bobber fishing, that would never get old!
Thank you Ricky! The float really did turn out, and I gree - it's all about having it tuned like a hair trigger, so the fish don't feel anything and you see the slightest bites. One way or another it worked great! And no, kayak fishing for salmon in rivers never gets old! You yak fish?
NW Fishing Secrets Yup you know what’s up you don’t want them feeling the resistance it definitely worked out ! Really great job, pro completion that float! I've been looking for a good guide to make my own floats for a long time, this is the definitive guide. Greetings from Uruguay. Like and new suscriptor 💪👍🇺🇾
Just stumbled across your channel today! Absolutely love it my dude! I love salmon fishing but never really knew or tried to fish eggs under a float, I usually drift them with a corky. After watching your past few vids, it sparked my interest and I'm gonna give it a shot this weekend on a local washington river!
Love hearing this! I started with corkies & yarn for salmon and finally decided I wanted to try bobber & eggs years later. Took several frustrating attempts with no catches, till I finally had the cure and technique right! If you follow the steps in my Bobber & Eggs 101 video, you will be 80% there! Definitely expect a learning curve, but once you get your first fish on the bobber, you'll be hooked! Welcome to my channel, and let me know how it goes! 🎣
@@NWFishingSecrets I will for sure! When I'm rigging up I was going to rewatch that video! One thing that I never would have done was adding split shots to the leader, I always thought doing that would spook fish but obviously not!
Love your channel.. obviously that is a “fly” fishing bobber... I just got back from the OP, did some serious river recon on the Sol Duc, Hoh and Queets.. amazing area
Took me 3 reads to get the "fly" part 🤣 What should I say - it's late at night.... Totally should have encased that little rascal. Headed out that way next week. You do any fishing while you were there?
Yes actually I did toss a line in the Hoh River, it was flowing a little better than the other two, and its beautiful turquoise water was pretty refreshing, as I was wet wading. We ran up to the upper Queets, just because we have never been there, the water was low and clear. The drive through the Queets Rainforest was amazing, took a few photographs but no fishing. Stopped by the hatchery on the Sol Duc and they had a couple HUGE Nooks in the holding pen and no Coho’s. The rains should help, so I might try it again next weekend. I live on this side of the sound so I run over to the Forks area pretty regularly. Again, I really enjoy your content, keep up the good work, your channel will be huge in no time..
I’m sure someone has mentioned it, but to help with the bubbles hold a hairdryer or a heat gun to it for a clear finish in the beginning before it starts to harden 😉 Enjoy your content very much !!
Can't mention specific spots, but I fish that river pretty much everywhere... There's probably a good hole every 100 yards or so! Do you fish it as well?
@@NWFishingSecrets I do, I only know a handful of spots around flaming geyser but I've never taken the kayak on the green and I think I'm going to do it today around Bullwinkle's in Tukwila ...Try my luck! Great bobber video that you just put out by the way really fun my son loved it!!!

Les Davis.
Such a positive vibes dude keep it up man that's definitely a like from me🖒
So much appreciated! You guys keep me excited to go out and film every time.... Fish onnn!!! 🎣
Great vid once again! Easiest place to catch a burbot is Banks Lake.
Glad you enjoyed Levi! And thank you for the intel..... Haven't fished there before! I'll keep the name secret if I end up doing the video there, but I'm sure you'll recognize it! 🎣 You go for them with chicken livers? jigging? New to Burbot...
NW Fishing Secrets I’ll send u a pm on insta
Thank you! Received!
Phew! Thank goodness there’s another video!
Ha! I knew you could use one tonight 😆 Let me know if you're liking a little crafting mixed in 🎣
NW Fishing Secrets of course! I watch your videos, and Marling Baits videos religiously! I like the “lathe” 😂 whatever gets the job done is the right tool
I LOVE Marling Baits! That guy is hilarious! And very talented... Yeah, I might upgrade my "lathe" a bit 🤣
Could be my favorite video bud always wanted to start making tackle bobbers could be a good start keep them coming coho fish just start down here tight lines
Thank you Jason! You'll love some of the next ones coming out then soon too.... I ain't done makin' stuff 🤣 Fish oonn brother! 🎣
YES DO BURBOUT! I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL!
Dude, let's do it 🎣 Should I try and get underwater footage of BURBOT BITES?!?! 🤣
@@NWFishingSecrets That would be amazing!
LOVE the BOBBER!!
Sat up most of the night with a stomach ache but I found your channel. Love the channel. That landing on the bobber was unreal. Had me laughing so hard. Sub’d.
Newer subscriber, great clip. Most favorite thus far.
Dude that fly was classic!
LOOOL I should have encased him into the bobber!!!! 😆 Glad you enjoyed man! Any luck on the bobber yet?? Or do we need to finally go fishing again
NW Fishing Secrets Ha I’m just waiting for the call man! Was on the humptulips on a drift charter last week and got a decent Chinook. Not big, but definitely decent
Dude, the Humptulips?!! awesome, I've never fished that one. Was it a tribal guide?
NW Fishing Secrets naah just a normal dude. Was pretty fun, and he can navigate that boat like you cannot believe. Learnt a couple things on the bobber fishing, so will probably try it out somewhere soon. I don’t have many eggs left though
Once again, great video.
Thank you Denny! Loved making this one for you guys.
Good work on your vids! Me and a buddy always talk about your videos. I think it's time for some surf perch in Westport!
It totally is!! You know if the surf perchin' is still good out there? Glad you guys are enjoying and talking about the videos! Love the input from ya!
@@NWFishingSecrets Surf Perching is always on. Just need to find the holes along the beach. We typically go during razor clam weekends so we can crab, do some surf Perching, and clam! Happy to meet up!
Really great job, pro completion that float! I've been looking for a good guide to make my own floats for a long time, this is the definitive guide. Greetings from Uruguay. Like and new suscriptor 💪👍🇺🇾
Lovin this channel friend! Hopefully not too late to the party... Keep uploading!
The party is just starting! 😂 welcome!
Much love from Central WASHINGTON. Keep up the good work brother.
Awesome video and amazing adventures 🌲 and definitely go fishing for a Burbot I’m curious on what they look like now !
All your vids is not horrible it's like A+++++
Im giving you a like only because you asked for it. Ask and ye shall recieve.
🤣 You're the man!!! By the looks of it, I've got to get started on that shark bobber!! 🦈
Keep posting bro it’s the best videos in WA
Great job on the float!!
Thank you Matt! was a blast making it! Already working on the next.....
Dude! Love your videos! Smashedddd that like button for ya!!
You're the man, Sam!!! Swear I saw that like button get a crack in it 🤣 Thanks for enjoying the video!
love to learn how-tos and rigs for steelhead, salmon, cutthroat etc. and high lakes bug fishing.
Awesome video. I’m going to make some homemade bobbers now.
Do it! 🎣 Let me know how they turn out!
Am i the only who says they like the video and they havent watxhed it yet but u know itll be good
Love you bro 🤣
Thx i think
in a not weird way 🤣
btw, working on doing a vid with that cured corn of yours......
@@NWFishingSecrets ooo nice
Duuude I'm rewatching your videos, twos years ago and you were ""only"" at 5k, and here you are now. Good shit man
I’m sure someone has mentioned it, but to help with the bubbles hold a hairdryer or a heat gun to it for a clear finish in the beginning before it starts to harden 😉
Enjoy your content very much !!
Are you fishing below Tukwila or above Tukwila? Great catch keep up the awesome videos!!
You videos are awesome! Keep it up!
hey brother, just want to say hi from Ontario Canada. Just found your channel on youtube and I am lovin it, your energy, enthusiasm, respect and appreciation of nature and the planet we live on is beautiful, i just want to go for a fish with you, maybe some day. Much love from Ontario brother and you always have a place to crash here, keep up the great uplifting views, vids and knowledge, one love ❤💯✌🤙👊
Watching this in 2023, still a good one 👍
excellent video , keep up the great work
Thank you Duane!! More coming. Anything fun you want me to fish for?
it'll be great if you make a video of your formula for curing salmon egg 🙏
I have one!!! Search my Bobber and Eggs 101 video! Has my full formula and how to fish it 👍 Fish onnn!! 🎣
@@NWFishingSecrets oh! my bad. Thanks for the vid. Keep rocking! 🎣🎣
bro what a nice bobber. nice videos pm if your ever down by the rogue river and want to fish. tight lines and looking forward to the steelhead videos
Awesome, thanks! I'll let you know if I make it down there 🤙 Announcing an event in the next video. Hope you can make it!
I went burbot/Lake trout fishing October 1st out on Lake Chelan, Lakers where hot in the morning but slowed down after. the burbots where on fire the whole day (I was jigging for both of them), I threw down a piece of cheese and they hit it. Best of luck to you! Also keep up the videos I really enjoy them!
Thank you for the intel!!! you mean you were out there jigging for them yesterday?? Feel free to email/PM me in insta. Any intel is appreciated. Will totally give you credit and as always keep the spots private! So glad you're enjoying the videos!
I like the makita lathe...In The past, I have used my drill press in much the same way for small projects like this. Concept is the same, just clamp a board to the drill press table and mak your hole to hold the opposite end. Same results, less steps, think I’ll go make some bobbers myself now, thanks :)
Wow, that's a fantastic idea! Let me know how those first bobbers go!!
Your awesome, I'm planning an egg float trip to the green after watching your success with it. You should definitely do a chum video since it's about time for then 😊 they're really fun
Thank you Mike! Good luck out there. Definitely let me know hoe your floatin' goes! And I can't wait to go Chum fishing. Will be a first for me!
Awesome coho!!
Thank you Tristan!
This dude is clever, hi brother from Morocco 🐟🐟
You should make Bober down! Merch I would cop 100%
Nice fish, great video.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it! Already working on that shark bobber.... 🦈
I died when that fly landed. Reminds me of my Dabber
Nice man! See the page is blowing up! That’s awesome!
We'll see what happens! Still so early, and so much to fish for! 🎣
NW Fishing Secrets so much fishing so little time! Lol
amen to that! What are you fishing for this season? You're down South if I recall correctly?
NW Fishing Secrets I’m am Northern California. Bass fishing at the moment. I can get to bass close to home. Be crabbing here in a month and some rock fishing hopefully! But I love fishing all different species
I really hope you make a video of how you rig your GoPro on your float for salmon sometime 👍
I will one day! Right now it's a bit of a hard earned and crafted secret video weapon! 🤣
How about an underwater camera bite under your bobber to see what is really happening? Great video! Thank you!
thank you!! Love making underwater footage.... Have you seen my other salmon videos? 🎣
Every year I try to catch salmon and I never can. 😂 thanks for your videos. I’ve learned a lot. Hopefully I can catch the first salmon of my life this season in the green.🤙
hello again, for your kayak you should check out the anchor wizard for kayaks. pretty cool set up.
Thank you Austin! I haven't looked into anchor rails yet, but probably should. Especially in a river, depending on where the anchor is mounted will determine the angle at which you sit in the water. So you can adjust where in the river you are sitting. It's awesome actually! Do you yak fish?
@@NWFishingSecrets www.anchorwizard.com/kayak-anchoring-winch-system/
It isn't much of a rail system but a nice compacted system. i like the clean look of it also.
@@NWFishingSecrets i use to Kayak fish, i am going to invest into a better kayak. i started with a cheaper one to see if i would like it. sadly though i had to sell it. not having a garage or shop to store it makes it hard. but soon i will be back at it. I love bluff Bobber fishing combat fishing or not something about bluff fishing with bobber and eggs just make me feel at home
Thank you for sharing that link! Never heard of Bluff bobber fishing! What is it?
@@NWFishingSecrets the spots i fish on the Kick is all rock bluffs. not all spots but where i fish you anywhere from a couple feet or 10 feet from the water on a rock bluff.
hey i just found your YT channel about 2 weeks ago and i love your videos can you post more i enjoy watching your videos i subscribed and like all of your videos. Keep up the Good WORK
Thank you man! Glad you're getting a kick out of the videos, and I'll be sure to post more. Right now it's about once a week, but I'll try and get it to twice a week soon! Fish onnnn!! 🎣
I laughed when you almost got it on your drill. Stuck on for life! 🤣🤣🤣
Gave you a sub! Keep it up brotha 👊🏼
Thank you!! Glad yo have you along for the adventures! And will do 👊 🎣
Great video! Glad I subscribed since you fish at places that are near me. Also, did you hear about minter creek, heard there’s lots of silvers there coming up.
Thank you! Glad you subscribed too! Love having locals enjoying the videos, and I'be been running into subscribers at all sorts of fishing spots! Literally yesterday after filming this video, I ran into a sub at the river! And yes.... Minter Creek is on my radar.... Heard it's good for Chum as well? Any experience?
I enjoyed watching you make a bobber. Have you ever tried making a lure? That would be fun to watch especially if you caught a fish on it
I have! Did you see the 9mm bullet lure in my shop? That thing catches fish really good. Got a few of my earlier videos showing it catch! Do you make lures?
