    Great video, but can you tell me if the matrix commercial treadmills are self lubricating? Thanks in advance.

    Can I use candle wax in a pinch ? if I’m waiting for my treadmill lubricant to arrive in mail.

    • @sportsmith
      @sportsmith  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thanks for your question. We would not recommend using candle wax. There are many unknown factors with candle wax. It would be best to wait on the proper compound. This is the best way to prevent further problems.

    When my treadmill is at low speed, does it make noise on the left side of the vanda It sounds like something is hitting. It sounds like something is hitting. What could it be? But it is ok when is in high speed.

      If you are concerned about the noise on the left side of your treadmill I would suggest contacting PartsforTreadmill assistance.
      You can sent a request to sales@partsfortreadmill.com.

      Unplug the unit from power, remove the motor hood and then move the belt by hand. Listen closely and you should be able to pinpoint where the sound is coming from. This could be as simple as debris that got pulled into the machine from the bottom ( yes, that happens), or this could be a more complicated problem such as roller bearings or motor bearings failing.

    Hello. I have old Precor C956i does it also use this wax or the silicone lube? Thank you.

    • @sportsmith
      @sportsmith  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Your lubricant is determined by the type of belt and deck you are using. If the parts are original just use what is recommended by the machines manufacturer. If you are using a Sportsmith belt and Deck, we use liquid silicone.

    What is this lubrificant?

    • @sportsmith

      The product used is a soft powder wax. You can find it at SPORTSMITH.com. Just search "powder wax"

    I have the treadmill that uses a little bar of wax on a blue plastic stick for lubrication are there any alternatives I keep breaking the sticks? I was told since we started off using wax that we have to continue is there a granulated wax that we can use what would the name be and where can we get it thank you for your time

    • @sportsmith
      @sportsmith  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Lubricant requirements are directly related to the type of belt and deck you have. You must follow the guidelines for the belt and deck to get low friction and long life from them. Many a belt and deck have are ruined from a change in the lubricant from what has been applied already. To change from the original type of lubricant used on your machine you will need a belt and deck compatible with the chosen lubricant. We do not carry a lubricant like you are referring to, so I am not able to offer a solution for anything to start using now. However, We have belts and decks that work with the powder wax we carry as well as the liquid silicone.

      @@sportsmith yeah I went back and read the instructions on my deck and it replied that it was really made never need lubrication but that if we wanted to lubricate it we would use I guess you'd call it paraffin on a stick so I guess powdered paraffin would work I did recently find another stick they just don't work well thanks for your time Simon

    2:11 A 'teaspoon'? Looks more like a heaping tablespoon. Thank you for the helpful video.

    • @sportsmith
      @sportsmith  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The spoon we used was very shallow but was more of a tablespoon shape. I wanted to make the point that the exact measurement is not nearly as important as the process that is why I referred to it as, "roughly a teaspoon".
