    The three-finger-slide tension check saved my day! Thank you!

    Thank you. Finally a video that explains exactly how tight the belt should be (too many other videos leave out this information)

    Thanks for the FANTASTIC video!!! I was able to adjust my 18 year old Precor Treadmill as a result of the information provided. The presenter did an excellent job and was clear and concise in his instructions. Hats off to your organization.

    You can use a heat gun to seal the cut parts of the belt. Put something under the belt so it doesn’t affect the rest of the treadmill when you are applying heat.

    My treadmill is slipping when the speed is higher...running most of time to the left side when im using it in lower pace. There is also kinda lump in my belt coz my baby pour water on it.can i still fix my threadmill?

    • @paulriley4218
      @paulriley4218  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      sweet habibi so you need to tension the belt to get rid of the slipping and center it to right. Just follow the instruction. Check the deck under the belt to make sure the deck has not cracked though if there is a lump

    Static electricity may damage the electronics? I don't think that this is a knowledge that all technician's posses. This info may have saved my 23 year-old treadmill. Thanks!

    How do you tell if it's too tight?! All the videos are about looseness. Mine bogs when I walk on it between 1-2 mph. I think it's still too tight but I don't know. SHOULD it bog a bit at lower speeds? Should I just loosen it till it slips and then tighten till it doesn't? Thanks for any help.

      You should be able to stick 3 fingers (on top of eachother) under neath the belt about half up on one side of the belt. If they fit comfortable then it's fine, if they don't its to tight. If you can fit them and still to much space then it's to lose.Hope that helps i did this on my treadmill and runs perfect, I was always tightening it to tight.

    Great Video! Great explanations! My only comment would be when you say you only need to adjust the belt after purchase or after 2 years, I was told you have to loosen the belt in order to lubricate properly below it, which means you can accidentally have misaligned or put too much tension on the belt.

      Don’t loosen the belt to lube it. Lift the side of the belt and most the time the lube can be slid under each side and then allow it to run a couple of minutes to allow it to spread around. That’s it

      You don’t normally have to adjust the belt to get under the track. Use a can with a spray needle to reach under the middle of the belt.

    I understand that a non level floor will cause the belt to slip in the direction of the low side, and I understand you can adjust the roller to prevent that...but doesn’t that cause the belt to stretch and distort on one side and not the other? Will it cause the belt to wear on prematurely?

    • @paulriley4218
      @paulriley4218  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That is normally how they are adjusted. You don’t normally fixe the level to the floor as it’s minimal wear on the rollers and belt to do use the roller to adjust for the floor. As long as the treadmill doesn’t rock when you are standing on it.

    Stubborn Sole F85 with ls1 low speed error. Tried lubing and will adjust the tension to the method you describe. It struggles to even start and after reset often immediately then ls1 error. Any thoughts? Before just replacing the circuit board and or motor?

      It may need to be checked by a service tech if there is too much friction on the belt.

    Recently my drive belt came off of the electric motor. I noticed it was worn and bought a replacement. I noticed that the belt does not align with the motor any idea what the problem is?

    • @paulriley4218
      @paulriley4218  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Saturn 951 usually the motor has 4 mounting bolts. You can loosen them off the turn the motor to line up with the front roller so that the drive belt is running straight. You will need to keep the drive belt tight so you will need to push the motor away from the walking belt so that the drive belt doesn’t run off to one side. Hope this helps.
