    Good video with a lot of information. It seems a significant way they could make this alternative a standout in the lineup would be to allow an a/c connection for situations where power might be available and either you run out of charged batteries or you need to use it all day on a longer shoot. That coupled with a more usable modeling lamp would make this one distinct in the lineup instead of a half step in between the 200 and 400. Thanks again.

    Robert, I'm wondering if this makes sense to have. I was thinking that maybe a "best practices" and/or "how to use most efficiently" video might be useful. I.e. why is color stabilization important, etc? I'd like to see this with the AD300 in a real world setting - perhaps on a BTS shoot?

    Robert, you noted that in HSS the ad300 measures as having a .4 green cast. Would you recommend planning to use a filer such as a Rosco 249 1/4 Minus Green or 279 1/8 Minus Green? Is the cast in HSS enough to make it worth correction Ito avoid issues in Post with background to subject correction?). Any hints are appreciated. Also, have you found any options for easy filter holders on the ad300 pro? I see some "do it yourself" 3-D printing and of course pre-cut gels but wow, a holder like the magnetic ones for other lights would sure be welcome. Thanks for any hints or advice! PS - When I check Lee I think the options might be as you suggested for the ad100 pro and the V1 (803 and 804 respectively)

      Color in detail in my review (Clip : th-cam.com/users/clipUgkx4FfPxPP5J9niT2Z8OojEhXQS5960Km7X .
      There is a tiny .1G color correction at some power levels, but even a 1/8 plus green correction gel would overcompensate.

    I got this item from amazon last days! But my high speed sync turned off everytime I took one photo! Why its happening?
    I have an A7R4 and put speed sync on from the trigger, but on the flashpoint goes off everything you shoot the first photo!
    Can you check with your device, the trigger still on, but device goes off after the first attempt!

    I’m a little bit confused about the custom function F3, so if it’s on off mode, that means the flash will not go for standby at all? It will be on all the time? My ad200 pro go for Standby automatically after certain of time.

    • @robhallphoto
      @robhallphoto  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, if standby is off, then it will not turn off regardless of how long it hasn't been fired.

    Hi Robert. Does the AD300 support TCM via the X-Pro-S trigger? In my trigger menu (latest firmware v1.3) it only show option for the speed lights, AD200, AD360 and AD600. What do you set if you have anAD300, or for that matter, an AD400?

    • @lmhkt
      @lmhkt 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Steve have you figured this out? I'll test it out today as I've just picked up an AD300pro. See if different TCM settings (speedlite, 200j, 360j, 600j) make a difference. I guess it comes down to 1/128 or 1/256 smallest flash output and stepping.

    • @lmhkt
      @lmhkt 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Just figured it out. Cranked up the ISO to 1600 (to make sure flash uses the smallest output) and stuck my left foot up in front of the softbox. In speedlite and 360j mode TCM gave 1/256 conversion, while in 200j and 600j modes it converted the minimal flash output to 1/1 which is apparently incorrect. At full flash output all you get is a white frame... So I'll just leave it on speedlite TCM mode.

    • @steverogers1039
      @steverogers1039 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@lmhkt Yes thanks. I’ve been using the AD300 for some time now and often take the first shot with TTL then convert it to manual using the TCM feature, and then fine tune in manual mode from then on. Thanks anyway
