The concept of embracing both masculine and feminine energies regardless of gender is refreshing. It shows that these energies are not exclusive to one group and that we can all benefit from finding that balance within ourselves.
Yes @pierrevilleneu it totally help us find a fantastic balance and sense of calm within which helps us lowers stress, diminishes overwhelm. It can also help us transform our relationships and our life in ways we only dreamed of before. And this is true for both men and women! Thank you so much for watching and commenting!
I never realized the importance of receiving gratitude and how it can have such a positive impact on our brain. It's something I definitely need to work on and embrace more in my life.
@brandawoodword Thank you for watching! I'm glad it made you aware of something you seem to be willing to give it a try. I would suggest doing it in 2 steps unless you want to go all in from the get go 😉 First, begin becoming fully aware of the occasions when you don't receive. It can be a straight out "No, that's ok I got this." or a more subtle way of saying no, which can be "Oh, thank you but I am almost done. Maybe next time." or " Thanks I'll let you know if I need anything."... When in fact you could use the help. So for a week become acutely aware of those instances. Like I said if you're ready to go to the next step, take a deep soft breath, surrender and allow yourself to receive with a big bright smile. If you are doing it in 2 steps, then the following week - as I said in the talk "IF YOU ARE and FEEL SAFE" say YES to "any help" or gift coming your way. Pay attention to what you feel in your body when you receive. Pay attention to how the person reacts and may be feeling as you thank them for the help. Be aware of your body, not your mind when you do this. And ENJOY THE RIDE!
The idea that feminine and masculine energies should be valued and used equally resonates with me. It's about creating a more collaborative and inclusive society that embraces the unique contributions of all individuals.
@lorrainegracelacson indeed that is one of the consequences of balancing yourself and using both energies in equal proportions. Thanks for watching the talk!
I never thought about receiving gratitude as being so important. It's a powerful reminder to be open to receiving compliments, help, and kindness from others. It's not always easy, but it can lead to deeper connections and personal growth.
@MediaSharingStuff yes you are absolutely right to say it is not easy and so right when you say it deepens your connections and your personal growth. One of the problems is we have been told, men and women, that giving is the most valuable and important thing for us to do. The role of provider or the giver is rarely balanced by telling the provider they should also receive in order to fill their cup again, so they can continue to give without depleting themselves. Those who are open to receive can become better givers, without expecting anything in return, they can give truly unconditionally. I resisted this idea for a long time, because as a mother I felt I was a fantastic giver and I gave unconditionally. The truth was I didn’t, my giving was full of conditions, because I needed to fill my cup but wasn’t doing the best way for me and others. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts. If there's something you want to complement, challenge in any way please do so. I learn from every comment.
You can literally feel how magnetic she is!
@Connie_Nueva thank you so much for your flattering and beautiful compliment. 🙏🙏🙂 You made my heart smile!
@@NanaPonceleonI’ve always said that charisma is a balanced blend of masculine and feminine energy traits. She definitely has those traits and it’s a beautiful thing to see.
@@ivanrojas7218 Oh wow Thank you Ivan. You also have made my heart smile. I am grateful that you feel the feminine and the masculine energies in balance in me. It has taken a lot of awareness and introspection to get here. I am still on the journey 🌻
what a soothing talk. beautiful and elegant, just like the speaker.
Thank you very much @alanarturdemitrovfernandes1161 I appreciate and receive your compliment with gratitude. I hope you can help me spread the message by sharing the talk. 🙏🙏
I was lucky enough to have a Dad who taught me to drive too. He was very calm even when I took corners too fast and mounted the curb.
@cattunes That is definitely a wonderful thing for a daughter, to have a loving dad who you can share things with. So glad you shared that with him.
Nana's talk struck a chord with me because the practical masculine me always want to control things and it made me stop and think why?
@omkar2485 First thank you so much for watching the talk and most of all for writing and opening up about yourself. I will give you my thoughts since you asked 😊😏 One of the reasons the activities that activate masculine energy are repeated again and again even when they may not be appropriate for the moment, is because usually accomplishing something, being successful at making someone do what you want, which in your mind is interpreted as "I won" feels good and you have a release of one of the most addictive drugs out there or in here (body)...Dopamine! This is true whether you are a man or a woman. So for a woman being in her masculine energy can feel super good too. However, as with any drug, there's always a crash (the crash is directly proportional to the "high"). So then, you need more control to give you more dopamine and in many cases also cortisol and/or adrenaline and off you go on a never ending cycle... A behavior appears, which if repeated will create a personality. Then a controller is born. Of course, the why you begin controlling in the first place can stem from many different personal or societal circumstances. The need to control can also come from needing certainty/security after living in an environment which probably felt very uncertain. In the case of many women today wanting to control men can also come from a tendency to emasculate men. The reasons I will not get into or I'll be here for ver hahaha. Controlling your partner can lead to a relationship that looks more like a mother son relationship than a grown up man woman relationship. This control can be extremely detrimental to any relationship. I did a small Tip Tok on this 2 days ago. Can you figure out why you control? However, more important than finding out why, is to make the decision to stop controlling today. And by the way controlling others is only an illusion. We never really control anyone. This is an extremely long answer but I hope someone else can benefit from it as well. Thanks again! You can also DM me through my IG @nanaponceleon or new TikTok @nanaponceleon07

@worldofsoumya Thank you so much! Glad you liked it 🙏
Well done, Nana! Thanks for the reminder about "Receiving."
It has been my pleasure Grandmapreneur! Thanks to you for listening and commenting. Much appreciated!
I really love this topic and I've dived into it on my podcast here on TH-cam! I am dying to hear some more perspectives on this.
@cassandramichellecoaching so glad you are talking about this subject. WE definitely need to bring this up in our conversations regularly because relationships and the world in general is suffering because of this imbalance. Would love to talk with you about this subject. 🥰
It's interesting to hear about Nana's journey from being a strong, independent woman to realizing the need for balance and embracing her feminine energy. It's a powerful reminder that there's strength in vulnerability.
@carolyn-anderson There's tremendous strength in vulnerability indeed. Actually many times it requires more courage to be vulnerable, than to hide your feelings and be tough. You see in the masculine we do, we think, we resolve, we push, we pull. However, in the feminine we feel, we allow, we surrender, we perceive and non of this can happen unless we become vulnerable. Allowing our selves to feel can be scary and sharing that with others even more so. I wish for you that you embrace your vulnerability and share it with those you love and see a new relationship evolve! Thanks for watching and commenting Carolyn!
Nana's experience with acting and embracing her feminine energy is so inspiring. It's incredible how stepping outside our comfort zones and exploring new avenues can lead to self-discovery and growth.
finally watched, very powerful, thanks for sending to me.
@schalomtaylor9448 I appreciate you watching the talk. Thank you! And yes I stepped outside my comfort zone, no doubt. It was difficult and uncomfortable, so many times I went back to old ways and patterns and sometimes I still do. But the transformation and how it feels has been incredibly rewarding. I hope for you to live a life of constant transformation and discovery. I feel that is true "living". Thanks again!
@@brandawoodword Thanks so much for watching. My pleasure to share it!

as usual going away with this message about ",receiving "
Nestor what a beautiful and generous message this is. I feel absolutely honored and grateful to have crossed paths with you. I can say exactly the same about you word for word. You are a very special person in the best possible way. I "receive" with open heart you gracious comment and may you receive mine with much love @nestorjportillo !
This talk has sparked a new perspective for me. It's made me reflect on the energy I bring into different areas of my life and how finding that balance can lead to greater happiness and success!
@lesliecross2513 Thank you so much for watching and specially taking the time to comment. It is a wonderful thing that you are reflecting on your life and what energy you bring forth. Being aware of what energy you are in and determining if it is the appropriate one to use in the moment can be a transformative experience. The ladies who I coach can talk about this and how their lives have been transformed, impacting their relationships. May this talk help you live a more fulfilled life! Sending lots of beautiful energy!
We all have feminine and mascuIine energy available to us. Becoming an aduIt means we need to understand and honor both.
@immayasass indeed that is the case, every human being has both energies. I believe this is something that we know from birth. Most babies can easily navigate between both energies depending on what the situation or the circumstance requires. If the baby needs to solve a problem like being hungry, he/she cries because they know they will be fed, etc. The baby is using its masculine energy to solve the problem, to reach a goal. If the baby feels love, joy they smile, they make sounds and gestures that in the past have gotten them the love they need, they hug, etc. When babies/kids feel vulnerable they have no problem showing it, feeling it and even saying it when they can talk. They can navigate easily between the two energies. When we grow up we begin to be socialized and barriers, walls begin to be erected which pushes us to use one energy more than the other in order to conform or adapt. So as adults we need to go back and remember... We have to let go and become conscious of what is required in each situation and use the appropriate energy. And yes definitely "honor" both as you say. They are both important and essential for our joy and well being! Thanks for commenting!
Nana's story resonated with me as I've also experienced the struggle of trying to control everything and the toll it can take on our health and relationships. It's a powerful reminder to step back and find that balance between taking charge and allowing others to support us.
@nothx3299 very well said. That is exactly one of the great ways to reduce your stress and improve your relationships specially the intimate ones. Thank you so much for watching and writing your comment!
Nana's message is a gift to anyone willing to truly hear the message and incorporate the learning. I had so many AHA moments listening to her. When one becomes conscious of how to truly embrace one's feminine energy while working in male dominated fields and in personal relationships, the shift may seem subtle but the effects are massive. This balancing of energies is so important to build optimal relationships in all aspects of our lives. Thank you Nana for sharing such a profound learning!
@user-su9ju8yw5u THANK YOU SO MUCH for such a generous comment. Yes I agree, even a subtle shift towards using more feminine energy for women who are most of the time in the masculine due to work or other responsibilities, like being a single mom, etc, can and does create massive transformations in women's lives. I have seen it happen to every woman I've coached.Again thank you for watching and taking the time to comment. Keep spreading the word so women can be happier and more fulfilled!
Thank you nana
My absolute pleasure José Manuel!! Thanks for watching.
Nana's message about the importance of receiving is something I need to work on. It's not always easy to accept help or compliments, but I see now how it can lead to deeper connections and a more balanced life.
Thank you for watching @jaymoneyDollaHolla yes I totally agree receiving deepens your connections and balances your life incredibly. Thanks so much for watching!
That's why we have so many two-spirit people as well - each brain has both matter that represents "masculine" and "feminine" energy, just differs in balance, depending on brain.
@vesper4463 thank you so much for watching and commenting. I would like to ask you to explain further what say. I am not sure I understand. What do you mean with "each brain has both matter that represents "masculine" and "feminine" energy,"? Are you referring to each brain as to say each person? What do mean by both have "matter" that...."? I would love for to clarify it for me. Thanks!
Such an inspiring talk Nana. Receiving is hard for many of us. Thank you for your insights
@mariahedgington8717 yes receiving can be hard but when you start receiving it is a wonderful feeling. Just start today, one gift at a time and see how it goes! Thank you for watching!
@mariahedgington8717 Thank you for watching. And yes, it is super hard for many of us, especially for most "empowered" women today. Receiving, as I said in my talk, can be at the center of healing and great transformation in your life. Allow yourself to do it and see how you feel... By the way, it will be uncomfortable at first, but see how you feel once you pass that initial discomfort due to being in the unknown. It will be amazing!
Gender discrimination should be eradicated from the society👍
Any kind of discrimination should be eradicated. Until we see us all as one, completely and inextricably connected I believe it will be hard to stop discrimination. Discrimination is separatness, is seeing the other as different than me. May we get to a new and inclusive world, one connection, one openness at a time!
You misunderstood the whole point of this talk if that's what you took out of it.
Unfortunately it never will. Discrimination is a natural human instinct, whether we like it or not.
There was no gender being spoken about in this talk
Excellent. I can relate to you. My dad taught me how to do everything as well. My therapist once told me that my asset is also my liability. I learned the hard way as well and now help other couples avoid divorce and create the loving, fulfilling marriage they deserve. Thank you for the reminder that we need balance and each other.
@monarchforlovewithmichelle2557 yes our asset can be our liability in many occasions no doubt. In my case the strongest influence on my masculine side really came from my mom, because she was also highly masculine energy biased. So I had no role model for the feminine, plus I enjoyed my masculine a lot ;) I love that there are many of us today sharing this message and helping other find the balance which will lead to better relationships. Thanks so much for writing Michelle!

I can relate to the urge to control everything and the need to be self-sufficient. Nana's talk has opened my eyes to the idea that sometimes, it's okay to let others help and receive their support.
@marianaattentio thank you so much for your kind comment and I am honored by your words. It fills my heart to know I was able to make you realize something that may be useful for you. I hope you keep practicing “receiving” and let me know how it goes. I love to hear the stories of how something so simple, yet difficult for so many women, can transform your life.
WOW! This was a great video, Nana. It was interesting to hear we should operate 50/50 in our energies. Both are important and finding the balance is necessary. I like driving fast and always wanted to be a race car driver. Haha! Thank you for sharing your story!!!
@njaninegates Thank you so much for listening and taking the time to comment! Yes using both energies is essential if we want to feel balanced. It helps our relationships, out stress levels, reduces feeling of overwhelm, and for women leaders, entrepreneurs, working professionals and even housewives, it helps them create more time for themselves to do the things the enjoy and also helps them do the regular work, tasks, errands of everyday life in a much more joyful way, which then also reduces stress and overwhelm. Thanks again Janine.
Way to learn from living such a fast life! What an incredible message of finding your balance!
@phithai-vietdo6285 THANK you so much for watching, it is an honor. This balance has saved my life, possibly quite literally!
I can well imagine the conversation you had with your Mom when you turned your back on a lucrative corporate gig to pursue acting. To be a fly on the wall.
@parksungwoo4730 it is a conversation that still goes on today after more than a decade of that decision. She still has a hard time even talking about my acting career. It is as if the business career and anything relating to that is something to talk about, share and celebrate but it is not the same for acting. And I do understand fully where that comes from and it is actually very related to my talk. My mother's connection to her feminine is hard and difficult. She was a product of the female revolution, she went to college and studied economics when women in Venezuela rarely studied past high school. Most of her women friends and family did not get past elementary school. So imagine. Thanks so much for your comment and specially for watching the talk! 🙏🙏
What a powerful message of collaboration. Thank you for sharing it with us!

Many of us strong independent women find it hard to receive gratitude.....interesting.
@thetruemindfulmeditator indeed that is the case for most women who are extremely independent, problem solvers, and self sufficient. However, isn’t it wonderful when you surrender and open up to receive. It is the same as when you sit down to meditate and you let go, only then you can receive that which flows to you when you’re in silence, when you’re open. How wonderful that feeling! Allow yourself to receive and give others that beautiful gift!
👏👏
Thanks Amber!!!🙏🙏💖❣💖
most women don't like old fashioned masculine type, they prefer BALANCED men who listen and can talk to them
@polpol1005 I agree 100%, a more balanced man or women is what's best for the person and for those they interact with. And thank you so much for your comment because it gives me the opportunity to clarify something I didn't have time to mention about in the talk. The role we play in society, community, or the family is different than our gender/biology and is different than the feminine and masculine energies. However, we tend to refer to all of them as if they are the same thing. A male (gender/biology), can be in the "role" of a businessman, worker, a husband, etc (what he does/function he performs) while he uses his masculine OR his feminine "energy" (life forces/traits). So the problem in the past was not that the man used his masculine energy, but instead that he stayed there most of the time, hence his capacity to connect, be nurturing, loving, and vulnerable were diminished making him in general less compassionate and empathetic. A man in his masculine energy, who can also go to his feminine energy when needed is extremely interesting and attractive. However, many men today are now staying too much in the feminine "energy" (and again this has nothing to do with gender preferences) making many women less attracted to them and saying then that men are weak. This is a complicated subject and hard to fully explain here but I hope I was able to explain somewhat the difference between ROLE, BIOLOGY/GENDER, and FEMININE and MASCULINE ENERGIES. Thank you so much for watching and for this opportunity to expand on this subject.
@@NanaPonceleon all right, thanks for elaboration on that
@@polpol1005 My pleasure!
Most women want feminine men that they can control. Society helps that process.
@@GregtheGrey6969 you are completely right about that. However, the irony and sad thing about this, is that though many women want men they can control (this is exactly what I did by the way 🙈), once we have them and control them, we loose interest in the man. The attraction fades after a while if the man allows himself to be controlled all the time and becomes a "yes ma'am" man. Therefore, we are falling to see that what we want is the exact reason why we can't have healthy and long lasting relationships.
I am a Ghanaian the name 'Nana' are you a Ghanaian?
@michaeltuffour6714 no I am not but I learned in an Uber some years ago that a Queen could be called "Nana". It is certainly an honor!
Many people are choosing to identify as non binary. I wonder what label Nana would put on their energy?
Why ask your husband to fix something when you can do it yourself?
@robertahvieira Thank you very much for the question. Yes I could probably solve most of the issues and problems that come up at home, however the reason why I feel it’s beneficial to ask for the help are: 1) There are not enough hours in the day for me to be able to work, solve everything at home, take care of the kids, etc. 2) I would be totally overwhelmed, stressed and burned out if I tried to do it by myself, which was what I used to do and I paid the price physically and emotionally. 3) I would have more time for myself, to relax, to be able to do activities that I like and enjoy, which would make me feel more joyful and then everyone around me would benefit as well. 4) A very important one is giving my partner the opportunity to help me, to make me happy, to do something useful for me, which can in turn make him feel better, specially if I let him know I am grateful for what he's done, which allowed me to XXXXXXX - instead of making him feel useless-; can completely change the dynamic of the relation for the better. This of course has to be truthful and genuine, the gratitude must be honestly felt. This alone can dramatically improve a relationship. I hope this clarifies why I feel asking for help, knowing how to ask for help can be so beneficial to both partners. Please let me know if you have another question or what is your opinion on the answer. Every comment, question and challenge to my ideas make me grow and learn. Thanks again!
We are saying the same about you right now.
Do it yourself.

This talk really made me think about the balance between masculine and feminine energies. It's fascinating how these energies manifest in both men and women and how finding that balance can lead to a more fulfilling life.
