I love the sound of the F40PH engines in the background from the METRA trains. Wished Amtrak would still use those for more than just non-powered control-units. The F40PH to me is the iconic Amtrak locomotive.
I too love the sound of the F40’s. I always like to say that the F40’s are Metra’s workhorse. You see them on almost every Metra line, and they get the job done
So the horizons got the interior refresh as well, I thought the horizons still had the blue cloth seats, so its just the superliners that still have the blue cloth seats?

These seats are much more comfortable than the new Venture ones.

I used to enjoy taking the train to Chicago, but since they have instituted draconian measures I will probably not anymore.
