Good video. In Buddhism clearing the mind is more of a side-effect and focusing on it makes meditation more difficult. The early stage of meditation is a focus on present-moment awareness. Getting lost in thought only signals that you've lost that awareness and need to recapture it. The other critical focuses are relaxation and smiling. Meditation should feel good. You can focus on anything, such as breathing, walking, etc. Focusing on environmental sounds is a great first meditation object because you can meditate anywhere. Car engines, bird tweets, crying babies next door, the sounds all come and go.
A helpful appraisal, thanks! Many people do not need to 'learn' to meditate; but then in today's lifestyles😅, preoccupations etc., so many of us don't realise that we 'do' need to!

What a beautiful explanation. I particularly like the part about smiling; I will remember that in future, thank you.

I’m glad you found it helpful, and I think you summed it up perfectly again 😀
Thank you for posting the video.
May I suggest to stop using beauty filters? It just makes you look blurred and less human.
Thank you for watching 😊
