Davo here from beautiful sunny Australia. 80,healthy,fit,active,happy and content...NO meat,fish,dairy or eggs for the last 25 years. The only way we can consume animal products with peace in our hearts is if we are able to master a few traits. Three that immediately spring to mind are; selective compassion,an ability to disconnect from reality and an unwillingness to confront inconvenient truths. WOW ! Pretty undesirable traits to have in about 99% of a society. I'm disappointed, but not surprised to see the state of societies's woes around the world.
That tracks with how I felt. I saw eggs and dairy as a lesser problem as the animals didn't die providing them. Then I looked more closely and realised they also cause a lot of harm.
I have always felt guilty eating animals and I no longer eat them other than fish once in a great while. I know I should feel guilty about that too, but I don't yet

The Only way to come out of it Is to feel guilty. The killing of Animals should make people realize of the strong inherent evil committed towards innocent species. Once understood It Is normal for a human being not to feel good about partecipating in such a crime. From that point the change should be the next natural event. ♥️💙
I have many probs with vegan diet. It leads to osteoporosis much quicker before it should yep and there is more but anyway lets get back to the topic in hand. Adding a moderate amount of meat can atop the dreadful cycle downward.
As a vegetarian for 37 years I would say: Stop guilt tripping people who are eating meat. How many animals do you think are getting killed for our plant based diet? None? 😏

Except that plants make me ill. I don't know if it's the gluten, lectin, oxalate, goitrogens, gmo, glyphosate, or pesticides, but something about them tear up my gut. Meat is what's healed and kept me from suffering ill effects.
Bro, I feel disgusted even by some alternatives! Some new products are really hitting the mouth feel right - just in a few days I have gotten to try some quite convincing new vegan versions of shrimp and gravlax.
