      eggs. paneer. sprouts. chicken. soy chunks. If you follow vegetarian diet, don't eat roti if you are consuming daal as daal is not a lean source of protein, it has more carbs than it has protein. It can be considered as a source of carb.

    The actual truth is : We don't need 1gm per body weight. Just 30 to 35 gm of protein per day is more than sufficient. Body doesn't convert ingested protein into muscle immediately, body uses its reserve efficiently to recover and rebuild muscles. More importantly food based protein is far more superior than suppliments. Finally quality of repitition is more important than quantity of weights in building muscles. Peace... 😊

    1.The protein requirement is calculated per *lean body mass* NOT overall mass because body fat doesn't need protein support,
    2. Higher protein gives better results ONLY if taken less than daily requirements. Taking more than you need it's basically only energy which can be used for daily activities or stored as fat,
    3. Protein is only one of possible energy sources and the most expansive one. The other two energy sources are carbs and fats. Keep your protein for the maintenance and building purposes and use carbs and fats for energy,
    3. Don't trust anyone...blindly.

  • @luvkashyap
    @luvkashyap 8 ปีที่แล้ว +15

    Good videos.. Seen many... Like your energy.. And the way you explain things... Keep up the good job.... Just to add with protein intake... Not all egg protein gets assimilated in the body... So good to keep protein sources as wide as possible along with supplementation with whey caesin... To ensure you are getting enough protein the building blocks of body muscles

    You really deserve the success you got because it has come from helping people with very useful information and busting myths. In India, people often have a tendency to believe in misinformation more than scientific information and this includes even educated professionals like me who are from a nonmedical/ fitness background. What I like about you is that you don't bring any biased opinions. For Eg . In India, vegetarians generally try to prove that a vegetarian diet is self-sufficient without any protein supplements. I don't really understand why even some doctors are resorting to such biased opinions.

    How much protein do I need to build muscle
    This video applies to EVERY HUMAN BEING, irrespective of your fitness level, gender or regime. I'm going to cover 3 cases :-
    1)How much protein you need to build muscle and a SKINNY FAT individual
    2)How much protein you need if you are TRYING TO LOSE WEIGHT
    3)How much protein you need if you are trying to cut after bulk season.
    How much protein do i need to build muscle?
    Firstly, i wanna make it clear, that by MUSCLE, i mean LEAN MUSCLE MASS, which is crucial for LONG TERM health.
    Anyone who has lifted weights for at least 6 months has been in situations where they are lectured for their high protein diet. Very often the lecturers are people who themselves have little to no knowledge about fitness/diet/health. Its not the lecturers fault either. We live in a country where we’ve grown up hearing people say that high protein diets make you fat and high protein diets destroy your body. But what is the truth? The whole world except for the sub-continent follows a high protein diet. If high protein diets actually destroyed people’s bodies, the whole world except for India would be facing major health problems. But that’s not the case. In fact, it’s the Indians and sub-continental people in general who are some of the unhealthiest in the world. And that is primarily because of wrong health and fitness ideas like “High protein is DEATH, bro.”
    Today’s video isn’t just for the average looking to build muscle mass. We won't be just covering "daily protein grams" or "daily protein macros". We'll be covering basic protein requirements PER DAY for the average INDIAN. We're gonna talk about the daily protein requirement and needs to build LEAN MUSCLE MASS. Remember lean muscle mass = HEALTH. This video applies to you because YOU are HUMAN too. Gonna bust a few myths and scientifically break down EXACTLY how much protein you NEED to be HEALTHY. DEFINITELY give this one a watch if you wanna figure out your daily protein intake and requirements.

    Misleading information! You need about 0.8 - 1gm of protein per pounds body weight NOT PER KG.
    If you are 165lbs then you will need about 165gm of protein.

    Nah! That's again way too much! The game is all about maintaining a positive nitrogen Balance the body during hypertrophy doesn't actually need that much (above1.3 grams per KG BW) even that is enough to recover more than that essentially overloads Liver and Kidneys necessarily not causing any damage to them quickly but long term high protein diets can cause Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis in the kidneys if by any chance your Indian genetics did not allow so much of excess nitrogen in your body!
    Secondly even fastest of the fastest digesting proteins in body take several hours to get digested in grams per hour so loading with more and more in each meal is not a smart idea. A guy with lesser muscle mass is essentially not absorbing all of it rather converting it into fat!
    Thirdly- lean protein sources are Insulinogenic and may cause insulin resistance overtime so better load yourself with greens and healthy fats and maybe a shot of apple cider vinegar. or even cinnamon for that matter.
    Seriously we don't need sooo much !Body is a way smarter machinery than that we think it actually does not destroy that much protein.
    AND YES MORE PROTEIN DOES NOT MEAN MORE MUSCLE! ITS A BALANCED DIET WITH ALL VITAMINS AND MINERALS THAT MAKES IT GROW BETTER AND BETTER!
    CHEERS!

      At least 100g from the shakes. Each scoop will contain about 25g of protein. Take 4 times a day
      1. As soon as you wake up
      2. 30 mins after morning workout
      3. Between meals
      4. Before bed.

    I am confused here.. I read online that you have to eat about 2grams of protein per pound of your body weight to increase muscle mass... If that's true then you have to eat like 50kg*2.2*2grams of protein for muscle growth... Can you help me understand this well?

      You really don't need 2g/lb of bodyweight. Go no more than 1.5g/lb of bodyweight if you're active, since your body will convert excess protein into glucose through gluconeogenesis

      @nomanCyclewala 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      depends on the bio availability of the protein. and there is no such limit as 30g. our body is very efficient machine. it tries to absorb almost all the protein we eat no matter how much at a time

    • @CUB-qy2hj
      @CUB-qy2hj 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The body will absorb ALL OF IT over time but we want the muscles to absorb them so they can grow bigger.
      This is why we do exercises so that our muscles break and get stronger by using the protein.
      So what happens if you don't exercise?? Then the extra protein you eat would just be used by the body for it's normal function and rest is turned into glucose.

    now here me out, i weight like 63 kg and i consume max 60g of protein per day. i am not even consuming even half the protein i need but i am gaining muscles really fast. its been just 4 months in gym and i am already deadlifting 100kg, squating like 80kg and i have bigger biceps and triceps than 80% of the dudes in my gym who are working out for more than a year. i dont know whats up with that but and i also lost 14 kg body weight in just 4 months without cardio without dieting.

    Well to be absolutely accurate, if you're working out It's a minimum of 1 gram per pound of lean muscle mass.
    so lets say you're 200 pounds with a body fat percentage of 30%.
    your protein requirement will be your body weight minus the body fat:
    200 - (o.3*200) comes out to be 140 pounds meaning you need 140 grams of protein.
    for a fit person around 170 pounds with 10 percent body weight it'll be higher i.e. 153 even though their body weight is less
    and these are just the lower limits!!!
