is there a way to share my digital games with the users on the same switch?
Hi. My kids have a switch at each parents house.
Do you know how they (“supervised family group member”) can put there acc on the other switch without adding me (the parent )?
So if u play the same game will you have 2 saved files of each account or the same save file
so if i have a game and when i open it i and asked what profile i’m using does this mean that depending on that profile i choose it will have different game data saved?
So I'm hoping to get a switch by Christmas so I can use 1 account for TH-cam and 1 for in general, but will the progress save on each profile

Hey, really hoping you can help - so my brother has a switch and has his main profile on it, I made one and linked my Nintendo account to it and I wondering when playing a 2 player game why I can't select my profile. When in games it'll say the main account's name for all players , so it's Dyl and then Dyl 2 and then Dyl 3 etc... How can I use controller #2 and use my profile while controller #1 player uses their profile? Same screen one console

You can do that if you have 2 Nintendo Switches

ok so when you buy the game its tied to that account but anyone who is also on that same switch has the game too. as for saves they are tied to the account so if the game allows one save youll have one and your brother will have another but remeber that saves are still tied to the switch so if it dies saves are lost

Yes, it'll work. If you download the game digitally, you'll need to link an account to your sister profile too, but if you have it on cartridge you won't need to.
Can I put a password on the user account so other people who use my switch can’t get to my user account?
Somebody out there help!!! My 5 year old and I share a switch. Each of us has a profile. The account with my email address is linked to his. That was all fine and good but now we are playing animal crossing and I can’t do online play. We Share a Family account with my brother.

Hi. So I've got my switch and I have the expansion pack. I just created a new user so my daughter could start splatoon 2 from the beginning. This worked but when she went to the lobby to play online it said she had to be linked to an account.

I have a long distance friend that's getting a switch very soon, I wanna buy a game that we can play together, at the moment you cant gift games to other users. If I made a account set it to their region bought them a game using my credit card on my switch could I then give them the account too play with each other if my account also had the game? If they share a family membership that gives online to multiple accounts, if you don't have family membership the wash account needs it's own membership sadly

Do the games have different save files for different profiles? Do the games stay the same on the menu or does each profile have their own games?
1.The savefiles are linked to your profile, so yes.
2. It depends. If your 2nd profile is NOT linked with an Nintendo Account the game menu is the same and you can play any game. If your 2nd profile IS linked with an Nintendo Account you can play the cartridge games but the online games it seems a bit complicated and i think it depends on which console is set as your primary console.

Once you've registered a primary console, your digital purchases can be played by anyone that uses the primary console. Other players will not be able to access your digital games on a non-primary console."

Yes you get a separate save file for each profile.

Go to setting, then Users and then find a user you want to delete, and press !Delete user

Each profile has different save files so you won't be able to mess with his game. If save files aren't the problem then you'll probably have to buy your own game. If someone don't take care of things well enough I wouldn't let anyone play it either. I don't know the reason why you're being barred though these are just some thoughts.

It’s so confusing, so you can switch play between users for a single Nintendo account? So if we have 3 users me and my 2 small children, they obviously don’t have Nintendo accounts?

You can set the account to be for 12 years old or younger

Nhan Dang. Nintendo said it depends on the game but 2-6 hours. Games like the new Zelda will be leaning on the 2-hour side.

A. Me and my mom can both play NOT on each other’s game data
B. So I can have multiple islands on Animal Crossing New Horizons 😈

You can't play online in some countries, for example I set my account to Thailand and couldn't play online so I have to reset it to America

you start off by saying how to make different user accts for members of your family then you end up explaining how to make multiple accts for different regions. This video does not help me at all. I want to know how to make a different acct for a family member such as a child in the family.
He actually explained that at the beginning. U create a new user account and link it with a new Nintendo account. Repeat the process for every user u want to add. Then the main user (guessing is you) will buy a family subscription and voilà, everyone will have internet access.
