None of these were hidden at all. I’m surprised there wasn’t one that said “if you press this small circular button on the top of the console, it will power on and off”
That’s crazy, I had no idea you could press the power button and turn the console off. Did you know about the awesome other hidden features such as: you can recharge your switch by plugging it in? or touch the screen to activate the touchscreen? or press the a button three times to get to the switch home screen?
"or press the a button three times to get to the switch home screen?" You can actually do this with almost every button, including joysticks, and those have special sounds
The switch actually can turn on the joy con you want to locate. If it was off, it'll turn on and start vibrating once you tap and hold the icon in the locator menu on the switch.
I’d just like to add this, this feature isn’t used a lot but it’s pretty cool. If you have Ring fit Adventure, you can set an alarm that can take you to the game. The home button has an LED light and the home button’s light will flash
There is a feature that Nintendo needs to add especially with the new OLED switch being here now and that is the ability to play videos from a microSD card. Such a nice screen to not have the ability to play videos or view images.
The stick drifting is actually more of a problem than you think. The sticks are relatively cheap so they can break over time. Countless joy con sticks I’ve had to replace cause no other method worked. P.s I often did this for other people since they weren’t comfortable doing it themselves.
Most of them are well known, but its helpful for new players, and although I've been playing the switch since it came out, some like the find switch one really helped!
Regarding using Joycons on Windows, I've found two good ways, both free. The easiest is BetterJoy, which offers a simple and stable solution that uses premade mappings to make it work with any game that uses xinput / XBox 360 controllers. The downside is it doesn't give a real way to remap more than a select few buttons that don't have obvious equivalents. Then there's vJoy plus the joycon-driver "feeder" module, which I've had better luck customizing. This makes it map to a standard joypad like has been standard since the late 90s. Games that support standard joypads typically allow custom button mapping. Then for games that assume everything in the world is an XBox 360 controller, I add x360ce on top of that, which allows complete freedom over button mappings. vJoy even exposes the motion controls as analog axes, though there aren't many uses for it without writing your own software, aside from emulating Wii games. For many games the only effective way to play with Joycons is to use them together like a regular controller, but then why not just use a normal controller. But others like RPGs play great single-handed with one Joycon.
-creating multiple profiles for multiple save files -back up switch save files through the cloud -pin code/pass through app (also parental controls) -usb headset & bluetooth headset for playing with switch docked -joycons can be paired to phone and computer via bluetooth -usb keyboard -hard reset and factory reset -region locked games with a different Nintendo account -recalibrate joycons -find lost joycons -sync tv and switch power on and off -airplane mode can help save battery (turns off wireless and Bluetooth)
I thought everybody knew that if you held the power button down long enough on any electronic device it would automatically power off? It works for computers (I've had to do it a number of times sadly lol) so it follows that it works for everything else. Still there are a few things here I didn't know (mostly 'cause I never bothered to explore them) and this could def be helpful for newbies or parents of Switch owners, so good job!
My husband found a setting in the Parental Controls that made it stop asking for my password EVERY TIME I wanted to look at the eShop. That would be a good one to mention.
@jaylovedolla money upstairs in the closet behind the sheets they vibrated on a piece of paper which made a very loud sound and she put them back after she was done
An added aspect for Match TV Power State is that for some TV models, it will turn the TV on and then put the TV on the correct input for the Switch. Not sure if that comes from the TV itself or the Switch, but it is an awesome time save sometimes.
My roommate lost her Roku remote in our previous apartment and literally never found it again :') so wish they did too!! thank goodness for the phone app...
Some newer remotes have a find feature. My sisters kept losing the remote and we finally stopped finding it, so we found one that has a find feature. I think it might only be for Roku TVs, but I haven't looked into it at all. All you have to do is say "Roku find the remote" and it will ring

Animal crossing is a fantastic game but no cloud backup saves which sucks if you have to play on another switch console Nintendo has to fix that problem

I admit there were some of these I did not know and I've had a Switch since Christmas 2018. About Airplane Mode: I will turn it on when I play at work because some games like Smash Ultimate or ACNH try to connect to the Internet for updates whenever you first boot them up. Since the wi-fi at my work sucks (and also requires going through a "connect to the internet" splash page to connect to), the games would just never load. I looked online and found out turning on Airplane Mode would solve this issue. And it works! You CAN still use the Joy-Cons detached in this case though, as the Switch gives you the option to still have Bluetooth turned on while Airplane Mode is on, as part of a sub-menu in the Airplane Mode settings. (This also works if you are using Bluetooth headphones/earbuds for audio, since you can do that now). The sub-menu also has an NFC setting if you happen to be using Amiibos. I didn't think about the battery thing or it not making extra Joy-Cons accidentally connect to it, but those make sense too.
The console God youre lying. Nintendo would never allow us to play games. They already made a video saying that implementing that would be too stressful and hard.. ur just an idiot tryin to get attention by lying

People: make memes about the switch being the only Nintendo console with the ability to be both in handheld and in tv Wii u with the ability to do both at once and still being a great console that never took off for whatever reason: ;-;
We need a "where are they now" video of the models that were used in the original Switch launch advertisement. I want to know what became of the obsessive compulsive 25 year old girl and also the couple who met at the airport on the floor.
Airplane 64 it’s not oil on my hands. I have a problem where I wash my hands to often so my hands are like really dry. It’s just around the buttons and the side wear rubbing occurs on the joycon.
I still dont own a switch because I think the design is cheap as sh!t. Joy (Cons)... yeah, seems like a Con if you ask me. As for the console itself, it's like a tablet with a high end GPU but the rest of the unit is made from cheap material. Instead I have a high end tablet that can plug into the TV and an xbox one controller! Hundreds and hundreds of classic ROM's and ISO's plus games like pub G and COD mobile... THATS MY SWITCH! Oh, did I mention it plays mp3's AND has a web browser? Hahahahaaaa!!! Not trying to brag or anything, I just think that switch owners are getting ripped off! Just keep paying them! No different than a cellular company!

Miguel Lopez sorry man I don’t know the secret. I guess I got lucky. Edit: I’m not saying this will 100% work but you could try using WD-40 under the flap on the joystick
Miguel Lopez you probably should clean them. There’s a metal plate/sensor under the joycons and sometimes it gets dirty and makes the sensor think you’re moving the sticks when you’re not.

Wii u with the ability to do both at once and still being a great console that never took off for whatever reason: ;-;
Absolutely none of these were “hidden” features... lol
We need a "where are they now" video of the models that were used in the original Switch launch advertisement. I want to know what became of the obsessive compulsive 25 year old girl and also the couple who met at the airport on the floor.
You're the only comment I found not complaining about how bad was the video
Actually you missed one it’s pretty big you can go on google and I think parental controls have no affect
Others: using factory resets for selling switch
Me: uses it for glitches and go to older versions on switch
Joy Cons are not “...worth the premium price.” The sticks are prone to drift and the paint wears off with use.
I don't think its the paint, I think its the oil on your hands, I have the same problem, and its not paint.
Airplane 64 it’s not oil on my hands. I have a problem where I wash my hands to often so my hands are like really dry. It’s just around the buttons and the side wear rubbing occurs on the joycon.
@@izzymaedavidson1974 Same here, hmmm.
But we can play BOTW, which invalidates your entire argument
''we will still include some well known settings''
well then THEY ARENT HIDDEN ARE THEY
Yeah i know right
Never have I ever heard someone say, "I highly recommend Nintendo's online services" in my life
This video: "You know what I love about video games?
• Connecting controllers
• Parental controls
• Screen burn-in reduction
• Airplane mode
• Auto sleep
And that’s it..."
**Laughs in turning off every one of those**
Y'all are talking about how shocked y'all are but this man single-handedly reminded me how old I am by reminding me that the Switch came out in 2017.
9:17 THANK U now when my brother tries to crank 90s in his imagination link doesn’t go and jump off a cliff!!!!
Me watching on my switch 👁️👅👁️
My switch has never froze or had drifting issues
Hmm no my joy cons drift like crazy
@@iarki._ when did you get your switch. ( The switch lite drift was fake because a controller was connected)
Please tell me your secret, I have bought 3 pairs of controllers and all 6 of them have uncontrollable drift
Thank you for this video!
Nice video, but in 3:13 when it shows Isabella from "Trials of Mana" subtitles says "Xenoblade Chronicles".
Little mistake
