That thumbnail made this movie look like the darkest, most raw and realistic drama Mel has ever made. He would be great in a serious courtroom drama as well

Still one of the most polite and intriguing actors I’ve ever spoke to numerous times while I was shooting on Stage 29 at Paramount studios, Stage 29….. his office is right next to my parking space and this was in the year 1999 in early 2000

Fantastic movie well worth it. Plus somehow with pacing, it didnt feel way over the top neo noir. And making use of the actors time to do what they do best. Really impressive seeing that I cant imagine they had more than a few weeks of shooting.
