#selfhealers, you know me--I have to keep it real. Healing is a journey. There are no quick fixes, only consistent practice. Please remember these 3 things on your journey. We are in this together. Nicole

I have been a healer for many years now, working on myself and others and you are right there are no quick fixes, but so many people expect there to be and so I struggle to get clients.
I have gained a great deal of inner peace by working through my trauma's but today I woke up and cried like a baby because I am struggling financially aswell as still trying to deal with the narcissistic abuse of my mother and I am 46 years of age.
It's hard and hope is the only thing keeping me going now, aswell as my 8 year old son and partner.

I am 25 but I sometimes feel like a baby. There are so many things I need to learn and relearn to be happy. The process will take time but it's achievable. After all, I feel good for being at this present state I am now. I wouldn't like the magic to exist. The healing journey is not easy but it's not boring. It's so exciting to discover myself and create the better me!

Consciousness or mindfulness are very hard specially when someone is going through depression like me right now
Depression tends to keep us into this numb state instead of being aware of the life around us
Whenever I try to be conscious to what I’m feeling inside or to what’s happening around me it makes me very uncomfortable and the ego tells me “go back to this comfortable numbness “ but then I remember this sentence (healing is uncomfortable) and I keep pushing myself to be more conscious even if it hurts as hell

I agree that in a period of very low mood or depression it can feel hard to motivate yourself to find or do something for your own self-care. I agree with Dr Nicole that it's best to start with achievable small goals or promises to yourself. Try to remember/imagine how doing that thing will make you feel when you have done it.

What seems to shock me the most is when I “SEE” myself in autopilot, consistently reacting. I’m getting there. Thank you for always keeping it REAL. ♥️

Whenever people ask how I got better at being more mindful, I always say, “Practice every day.” Then the next question is inevitably, “Okay great.. practice.. so how do I do that?” Love how you outlined three aspects of mindful PRACTICE- the three C’s! Another wonderfully clear and simple video that is accessible to everyone- regardless of age, education, training, or experience! 🔥🙌🏼 Once you see healing as an ongoing process, with no final destination, (no “I am healed when” or “if this happens, then..”) then you can accept the healing and learning is IN the journey. It IS the journey and you’re missing it!! So no more highway hypnosis, look out your window, pay attention to road signs, choose pit stops and detours as you need them. Take a scenic route when you want and crank up the tunes!! Thank you for being a part of my journey!!! 💞🚗 Much love and gratitude! 🥰🙏🏼

What is your opinion on hypnosis ?
It's popular and some people think that it can help you to heal yourself, for me I think it's not a long term solution, because it will come back one way or another. I think it's good in some cases for example, it is used to replace
anesthesia because we are disconected from our senses during hypnosis and I think it's less harmful this way.
I learned that there is a type of hypnosis called humanistic, and the goal is to expande consciousness, the person “becomes conscious” of what is stuck in them and therefore can describe it to the therapist, who will guide them as to how they can fix it on their own during the session.

    • @ketophoria2587

Run now I know that Dr. Nicole has someone that she trusts that has helped her to incorporate hypnosis as part of her practice, but my knowledge of it is limited. I really don’t have any first hand experience with hypnosis myself. 🤷🏻‍♀️ For me, it’s less important what “it” looks like, and more important that you just do it. So no one strategy or one right way to do this. Know yourself. Find your way. That’s the best way. ☺️ So it works for you, as long as it works for you, re: progress, then do it.. with consciousness, intention/choice, and consistency! 😇👍🏻 #practicemakesprogress #selfhealers #lifelonglearning

I know when I’m connected to my healing and really doing it when there’s this weird calm clarity happening inside. Weird only bc it’s new but good bc I can see things objectively. It’s not me trying to numb, but me understanding the triggers/moments and feeling the feeling at the base of it. Thank you so much for your guidance 💜

I F'ING LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE YOU. now to the work, i am almost always consistently in my head making up stories or whatever, it's like i'm literally addicted. addicted to the physical high of that energy. it is harming me and has been for decades. SO, what word or phrase or what can i do, i am totally conscious and aware that i am doing it, can i use. i say stop. i go back. i say stop again, i still go back. what else do you suggest? if you have time. thank you nicole i love your videos so much. it's like reading the most interesting book EVER, where every single sentence you might have to read more than once because it has SO much information in it. i love you!

I am on the process of healing too, I have been giving so much into relationship I am in, and my ex told me that my emotions , support and compassion don’t sink in , it was pretty hurt and now it’s numb to me . That he doesn’t feel the same connection as I have for him. And yeah I can’t force connection tho. so we both decide to let it go

Hi Nicole.. I been appreciating your posts on Instagram.. and really like the invaluable information you provide :o)) Healing is a journey with challenges of changing the established habits.. which - for me- brings up a whole lot of resistance in the form of Fear (felt in the body.. with jumbled up memory connections of abandonment, shame, guilt, feeling unsupported..). The more I release, the more room is left to creating appropriate behaviour for now.. :o)

Wow, thank you. Yes this video was so incredibly helpful. If I may ask, what was your baby step practice in relation to food when you began this journey? I'm becoming more conscious, slowly awakening, now I'm trying to feel how to begin the change. Food has been the focal point of my entire day (pretty much) for years so it's a little bit scary to tread unknown water but I'm so ready.
