Contact the brand directly and find out if it's legit, find the info online yourself. (Don't use any numbers or e-mails shown on the actual mail received, or you will be dealing with the scammers directly.)
A great rule of thumb is ever trust, always verify! For all emails, always check the sender's name and email address they should match. Contact the company directly to confirm the offer. Never click on any links or provide your personal information, and don't reply. Replying validates your email address is active to the cyber criminal. And as mentioned, if offers sound too good to be true, it most likely is. Rarely is anything free! Thanks for sharing!
Yes, and some TH-camrs are excited to receive free products but also paid opportunities. That emotional high can make it harder to discern whether or not it's a legitimate offer.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I don't take any offers on my channel. I believe in my time with TH-cam I have only accepted one or two products, but am happy not taking offers or even monetizing my channel.
Good on you for checking the email address that this came from. That is always the first place to look. These bad actors depend on the recipient getting excited about what's in the email body and that they won't notice or check the "From" email address of the person that sent the email.
Thank you for sharing this info with us. It is so pathetic that these scammers have to pray on the public to make a buck, they should try getting a respectable job.
hee hee! So true. Love all the flattery. Many companies (or scammers) address emails to me about how they LOVE my content and have been following my TikTok for years! I don't have TikTok content. :)
I just received another of these scams, pretending to be from Doritos chips. It had the same factors involved in these three emails.
It is always a challenge to stay ahead of scammers.
exactly!
Thank you for sharing it’s so awful they try everything. Ugh.
They do! Sheesh! It's a never ending supply of scams!

yes, the last email I showed was from the San Pelegrino company directly.
Thanks Lolly! It seems like all I get are these types of scammy affiliate offers 😂
Ugh! How frustrating :(

I don’t have a TH-cam channel but it is good to look out for scammers. Joyce 😊

It is hard to decline offers if they are good ones. I love working with well-known companies that are established.
Thanks for the heads up and yes, we should all be weary of these type of advertisements, pay attention to the details❣️
Absolutely!!

I appreciate your warning to TH-camrs, I personally have never been scammed because I trust no one.
I'm pretty skeptical, so I think that helps when reviewing offers.
Thanks for the heads up. I hate scammers 6:14
