Love watching the motivation guys. I can't wait to hopefully get a job soon ( since I had car accident January 3th 2018 in Tampa and shattered my left leg shen bone and now I have a forever titanium plate in my leg. Now I'm starting to be able to get around better. But still a lot of pain every day. ) hopefully I can across the bay to y'all say hello and I have a lot of future business bout TH-cam and doing systems in all my current 4 trucks I own and the future vehicles I going own soon.

Great video! I am looking to get a SD 5K Evo or EvoX which do you recommend? I'll be putting it with 2 B² Audio Rage XL 15s in my Tahoe, but to tune the amp do I need the SMD DD1 eventhough the amp has its own distortion detection?

How would I set the gains with the dd1 if I don't have highs amp. So basically how can I set the gains if I can't disconnect the speakers because I only have a bass amp.

Lol 160, you need to get your meter to the repair shop me thinks. Get yourself the ssa meter. It runs from an app on your phone. Lovely vid guys thanks for that! xx
That's the meter they're using but it's not the wireless option
Lordy be! Dean, tell the amp manufacturers to include ferrules with the amp. Should be standard these days.
sadly they do not have anyway to buy them online....and there is major gaps between the brick and mortar shops who carry them... where I live the closest place is around 60-70 miles away.

The spl meter is supposed to be 12inches from the passenger side and 6inches up. Also don’t use the spl meter in direct sunlight you will get inaccurate readings. 👍
6in over and 4in up from bottom right is legal location for db drag and iasca

Love the looks of them. Just dont like power inputs and speaker outputs. 3k should have at least 1/0 and 5k needs 2 1/0 spots. And then both needs 2 speaker outputs. But other than that it looks nice

So if the big amp draws over 500 amps at peak, and 215 average, where is all the current coming from? I seriously doubt a stock Ford Escape can provide that much current. You guys weren't even coming close to winding that amp up. You'd likely see 163DB with a 1200 watt amp with that quad box in there.
They are not stock follow them on instagram they show most of there big 3 systems on there

Unless you have an upgraded electrical you can't possibly see all 5000 Watts

148 was the 3k so 153 with the 5k is feasible. Legal spl score would definitely have been 150+. Theres not much difference in score between the bottom center and the db drag legal location at the bottom right corner
