    Yeah I found black opal with fire near Everett Washington. Highly fractured as well but oh my gosh it carved into gorgeous jewelry

    I'm so glad I came across your video because now I know for sure that what I have is Opal. I an finding large amounts of it on my property in Spokane. Most has at least a small area with play of color in it but some does not. Thanks for posting this!

    Thanks for sharing. My family growing up was always into hunting mushrooms, so we know lots of good areas for that. Lately I have been interested in finding gold and gems. Opal is my favorite gemstone by far. I knew they found them in southeast Oregon but wasn't sure about Washington. So now I'll have to get out there and look around!

      Opal is actually very common in Washington Idaho and Oregon and Wyoming Opal is actually very common in Washington Idaho and Oregon and WyomingThe trick is finding precious opal There is actually quite a bit of fire opal near the Spokane area and Lewiston area But the really good stuff comes from Oregon and about an hour South of Boise If you want to see some dynamite fire opal check out outlaw rocks
