    -Make good music
    -Get them to believe
    -Get to improve their visual image by posting good pictures on the gram etc
    -know how to create impactful content that will pass the brand message. Have a look that will translate well visually.

    Something most artist don’t think about, is exactly what Sean said, see the void in the marketplace… very important words for musicians to understand.

    @brandman I think you should both take on an artist each with your respected way or list of blowing up a new artist. Do it for 1 year and see what strategy is most effective. You both have great concepts and approaches. I wanna see which one would work best. You should post the content on your channel. Of course, you would need to have what you would consider successfully blowing up a new artist. Like first one to 100,000 followers and 1 million total streams or something of some sort. Hell, I even have an artist in mind. 🙏💯🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥✌️

    I think I have these things you mentioned in place. I have been performing live since I was 16. Then started my modelling Instagram page in 2017 that has been steadily growing organically and now I’m at 13.5k followers thanks to collating on photoshoots, and being a plus/curve model.
    I am now preparing to release music. Your page is helping me out a lot. Right now I’m trying to figure out myself as a brand before releasing that music. 🙏🏽
    Cheers and much love from Canada 🙂🙏🏽

    What does it mean to break as an artist? Is it 1 million followers on socials? Is it 1 million streams? Is it hitting the billboards top 100? What's a hard metric you would use to define the "breaking point" for an artist?

    • @ikemakesbeats
      @ikemakesbeats ปีที่แล้ว +51

      a couple hundred thousand monthly listeners and over 50k followers. from what ive seen

    • @mcgyverthestreamer5625
      @mcgyverthestreamer5625 ปีที่แล้ว +24

      It's not defined by one singular metric but generally, labels look at the total amount of "mainstream media" attention the artist is getting. So, social media presence + streaming platform currency (streams & coverage, for example, being the face of a major hip hop playlist) + amount radio & tv airplay + cashflow (number of shows, endorsements or merch sales). All this data will give you a good standpoint on whether you're an A, B or C-lister.

      Think about current artist in the “attempting to break” . Ice Spice , Lola Brooke , Kali ….artists that have “broke” - Cardi B , Meg the stallion

    I knew it when I seen this video, “you gotta look like someone I’d want to listen to”, bro that’s most definitely not true. I mean in a sense, but that’s the problem though, people in general judge the person first and then let that judgment dictate how they feel about the music.
    Do you know how many diamonds get left in the rough because they know they don’t fit the image of a mainstream musician? You know how much potential is just sitting there for someone to do something with?
    If you want to create a wave, you have to do something that hasn’t been done. Be innovative. Is there a way to tap into those unfounded diamonds? There most definitely is, if you have a plan. But it’s easier to have them reveal themselves to you, and all they need is hope. They need an example, someone to show them that it can be done.
    The most successful people in the world, look at a problem and find the solution. They pick a niche that’s unoccupied and fill the gap. I just told you what the gap was how can you fill it? I know I can lol.
    The industry wants people to take the conventional route, and that goes without saying. You guys detail the conventional route. There’s nothing wrong with that, but the competition is fierce. Why fight traffic when you could take a side street and still end up at the same destination?

    If you sign a deal would a label supply you with doctors for your hearing health or sinus health since all that can affect your longevity making music? If youre not healthy then you’re time doing what you want will be cut short. I have fears of going deaf or losing a SHIT LOAD of my hearing from music. Funny thing is (not really) I lost a lot of low bass frequency sounds from a ear nose and throat doctor. It definitely scarred me lol and now I got anxiety since I only hear the low sub bass sounds in my normal ear. I also have tinnitus and I have sensitivity to sounds at a certain level or certain frequencies kinda sting.
    I always want to leave music because of my sinuses/ears but then I’m like idk what else I really like to be able to create. Then I go through mental health challenges because of the path I took to try and make music workout.
    I know this is very confusing but y’all. Did you know beethoven got supremely deaf I think from making music. It was to the point he would use a pencil or something and put it to his jaw I think! And he would put the pencil on one of the keys on the piano (something like that) and decipher the note or some shit like that. I’m also just tryna inspire y’all to be healthy or to find a way to reduce hearing loss and find a cure for tinnitus lol. (Ringing in the brain)
    You can get it from loud sounds or from sinus issues or injuries or even stress I think.
    Really here to find answers if making a living by doing music and putting out a song like once every 3 months is a good idea? Cause I got ear issues OH and also, again, do labels supply high grade doctors to help you maintain your health, like pro athletes sign deals and get some good medical assistance, I know I can make some good tracks, some fire fucking tracks, I jsut want to be taken care of, mentally, and physically. Not saying I can’t do that on my own but I’m not no damn doctor and YES I’m looking for a ENT doctor with a good rating to help me with my issues lol.
    On some realness though, labels or people should sign people not just for their music, if they stream, or are funny, or have other types of creative ideas, or are into holistic stuff, they should them for that alone as well, if anyone is passionate about something, we should have a helping hand to spread awareness of stuff that isn’t even music related. We should all be making a good amount of money and live our best fucking life . I don’t know why we shouldn’t get paid for tryna make a positive difference ya feel me!

    "oh content that reflects my brand," ? Oh. Huh. Never thought of THAT. Holy smokes you're a giddamnfugginGENIUS, SCABMAN.
    Scabby & his collection of bots. References reaching from Bieber to... Ice Spice... The two GODS of rap.
    Its like just put in a laugh track ASAP whenever SCABBY starts vomiting hollow nonspecific buzzwords and references to little kids in pop music. Yea. Dope.
    Red shirt Dude-- u should've brought a coat rack. That coat rack would be more helpful in adding to your points than SCABBY McARBITRARY, intereupting and don't every single point. Srop interrupting, or is that your brand. SCAB.

    The rap game is much easier. Simple cheap music with loops done on a laptop at home. Shows where they dont have to being instruments or lights. As to us real musicians it takes us hundreds of dollars to make a proper songs at a real studio and have to bring thousands of dollars of equipment to perfom live.
