Marketing is extremely important but we must not forget an important principle of it: Product! Teezo makes good product! Good music, good content, good performances, and good customer service matters in every industry.
I enjoyed watching this because you highlighted something else important too: artists being an artist. We artists are often, weird, extra, creative, unique, catchy, odd, talented, dedicated, unpredictable. It was very easy to see this in the examples you gave.😊
YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE! Just be yourself and be consistent Everything you want in this universe will happen if you just have fun Do what feels blissful to you everyday You will surpass everyone in this 3D realm by just being yourself and feeling great doing whatever you want to do and how ever you want to do it❤
I love these types of detailed videos that actually analyze and explain in steps to others how to succeed in music. This is definitely going to help me and many other newcomers out. Thanks again
hmm wasnt it from decades about image and music talent at the same time? Madonna, Prince, Aphex Twin, Lady Gaga with their public image, Sophie with PC Music and their visual aesthetic, even Michael Jackson with his music videos and Kanye with teddy bear motive. I think the main difference is way of how easy we can post snippets with strange or more organic visuals than before internet era. wouldnt say its so different, its just changing because of how much internet medium is different than tv or press. great band to watch how it could be used is Death Grips and they r one of precursors if we talk ab promoting music within internet.
Very true! I feel like some artists now don’t understand this however, especially because everything is so visual, so this video was too highlight more recent artists using these techniques.
The fact you have to stand out is crazy I’m not saying I want to,but I like artist like Curren$y,Larry June, and Smoke DZA.Making content isn’t hard it’s kinda difficult.
I don’t make music but I evolute music with videos. Would love to hear your thoughts on my channel’s approach. Also, respect for taking the time to make this channel, I agree that audio visual importance isn’t expressed enough right now.
Love your stuff, very cool visuals, my only critique was too make the credits text at the end match the overall aesthetic of the video, kind of like how Lyrical Lemonade does it. Very interesting stuff though, you should definitely get into music video directing and connect with some local artists!
I think it’s better to be new and mysterious. Too many look at me artist. The art should serve the artist not the other way around. But that’s the game. It’s idolization culture, even if the art is good it’s more about the artist building a brand and legend for themselves. Art is the passenger
@@joegez7 money definitely helps you succeed faster, but you can execute lots of these ideas with minimal money. Also keep in mind while sure an artist like Tommy Richman did have a label backing him at the time, he had worked up to that position. While you often need money to make money, you get that from hard work. Same with teezo, he had been doing this for years from his own pocket, until he was finally noticed and got a manager which helped him to succeed. While some artists come from money, plenty have had a mix of talent, hard work, and good marketing to get to where they are now.
Unfortunately now it’s not all about music at all. Richman has been making songs like that for a little while now, but he had just started making those videos.
@@Hash-man there are two videos on richmans TikTok that add up to over 20 million views that were posted BEFORE the release of million dollar baby, teasing it. The success of the song was largely in part due to both the teaser videos and the other videos that came once the song was released with millions more views and likes. A similar tactic was used for “devil is a lie” as well.
Teezo is definitely not an industry plant, with some research you will find he has been grinding for years, and found a manager to help with marketing after grinding for years, which then led to his astronomical success.

Exactly, I wish art could just be appreciated but it’s a lot about marketing nowadays which I guess in some respects can be a fun challenge.

Do keep in mind Teezo will remain local to US, perhaps a high tower, but never resonate globally. He is too committed to localised niches
