Welsh was spoken there until recently. In fact in many places it is now. What we English don’t realise is that the population spike in Britain happened in the Iron Age. Most of us are partly Welsh. The second and third US presidents were Welsh! It’s the anthem of all oppressed peoples globally. It’s an anthem glorious simply because the very singing of it is a victory!

The Welsh fans were singing in the correct speed, FIFA sped up the orchestra of the anthem to make it 1 minute long as it's usually 1 minute 4 seconds
