I'm Spaniard and I know the national anthem of the Republic of South Africa by heart. I think it represents the values of humanity and freedom. Long live the people of this great nation!

The current National Anthem of South Africa is a hybrid national anthem mixing "Nkosi sikelel iAfrika" and "Die Stem van Suid Afrika" since 1997

    • @FD-vj6hd
      @FD-vj6hd 4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

@TheRenaissanceman65 it does not form part of Nkosi Sikelel'i Afrika, it forms part of the national anthem of south africa, but Nkosi Sikelel'i Afrika and die stem are seperate songs too

    • @FD-vj6hd
      @FD-vj6hd 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

@TheRenaissanceman65 I mean, it's just not, it's the opposite. You said "Part of it now forms the end of Nkosi Sikelel'i Afrika" and I said, "it does not form part of Nkosi Sikelel'i Afrika". Nkosi Sikelel'i Afrika and the South African National Anthem are not the same thing. Nkosi and Die Stem are two separate songs, both of which are part of the national anthem, but Die Stem isn't the end part of Nkosi, it's the end part of the anthem, just like Nkosi isn't the beginning of Die Stem, it's the beginning of the anthem. It really shouldn't be this difficult, and given that it is, it seems you're not much of a renaissance map

“Which part of there being only 2 songs in the video didn't you understand?” was pretty rude of you, and it’s not my way, it’s just the fact of the matter, anyway, enjoy your version of reality

    Lyrics for spanish speakers.
Aquí te dejo la letra del Himno traducida
Esta canción es cantada en varias lenguas: xhosa, zulú, sesotho, afrikáans e inglés.
"Nkosi sikelel' iAfrika" significa "Dios bendiga a África"
    Xhosa
    Nkosi sikelel' iAfrika
    Maluphakanyisw' uphondo lwayo,
    Dios bendiga a África
    Que alce su gloria
    Zulú
    Yizwa imithandazo yethu,
    Nkosi sikelela, thina lusapho lwayo.
    Escúchanos, Señor
    bendícenos, a nosotros, tus hijos.
    Sesotho
    Protege a Sudáfrica, Sudáfrica!
    Afrikáans
    Del azul de nuestro cielo,
De lo más profundo de nuestro mar,
    Sobre nuestros montes eternos,
donde resuenan los ecos por las peñas,
    Inglés
Sounds the call to come together,
    And united we shall stand,
Let us live and strive for freedom,
    In South Africa our land.
Suena el llamado a venir juntos,
    y unidos permaneceremos en pie,
Vivamos y luchemos por la libertad
    en Sudáfrica, nuestra tierra.

He did all he can to prevent Apartheid, but he grew old with age and couldn't do it all alone. Before that, he was a General in the Commandos of the Transvaal. From which the Royal Marines were born.
