      In my opinion foldable smartphones are not good everyday phones as Floss carter said these kinda phones are more of a secondary phone for weekends or to flex and show off to people during fancy events or gatherings just like the RangeRover isn’t always a daily car these phones aren’t everyday phones

    • @CBrown86

How many times have you seen that happen? Thats a whole other level of dumbass. @martinytcz1762 3 ปีที่แล้ว +73

      In the current state, the tech isn't perfect, sure. For me, the small footprint is something that I'd like to see in modern phones more, and I can't forsee that being done without foldable tech. In my opinion like 5 years from now, most of us will be using foldables, but we'll have to wait and see. It's very much possible that foldables will slowly disappear from the market if the costs don't get lowered quick enough.

    • @DannyLeWasTaken
      @DannyLeWasTaken 3 ปีที่แล้ว +50

      The vertical flip phones that fold are useless imo, but horizontal folding ie like a book phones do have a use since they can create much more significant screen space.

    • @themastereal8345

      Foldables merges tablets and phones together, and for smaller foldables they are for saving space. Other than that they are pretty useless

    I work at Best Buy in America and we have a Z-flip that is folded like 100+ times a day since the phone was launched. It has tons of scratches all over the display. A customer even stabbed the display multiple times with a pen. It has 0 issues even with physical damage. It’s all up to luck with these foldable phones honestly.

    • @Eewurp
      @Eewurp 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@xogodogo9787 I think it's not necessarily this, lol. My Samsung Note 8's screen had issues and it estimated around $180 to repair it (and more than that in official Samsung stores) where I live and the difference of selling the phone with a defective screen as opposed to selling it after repairs isn't gonna cover the repair amount at all.
      Tbh I'm on an iPhone X right now and I was glad to know that screen replacement for these are cheaper here ($100 or so).

      Well isn't that anyone with a monopoly on parts? If anyone else can offer replacement screens, then there be some price competition. Also, idk how you can for sure this tech isn't expensive to manufacture in the first place.

      @@zeenxdownz well I do alot of screen recordings (live streams, IG stories, tiktoks, TH-cam etc) and it adds up quite quickly. I do try to crop done of the recordings from 4GB to 1GB but they add up and storage fills up quickly. I also make tons of cute gifs I post to social media of my favorite celebrities and streamers.
